My Alleged Husband

Chapter 368: Chapter 348 How do you want me to be?_1

Ran Zhihan knew Lei Jian said those things for her own good, but she still couldn’t accept it. Why did her husband have to leave her and go far away? Didn’t she mean anything to him, didn’t she warrant a second thought? She had no idea what else she had to do to make herself a true good wife and daughter-in-law in her husband’s heart.

”I know you’re telling me all this for my own good, for the sake of a long and lasting relationship like we had before, but have you ever thought about it, he said he would go and he went, said he would leave and he left what does he think of me? I am his wife, don’t I deserve to be missed? To say leave is to go, what exactly does he think I am? I really don’t understand, just because I said a few harsh words in a moment of anger, he has to run away from home, is he not my husband? Can’t I even speak now? If he did something wrong, doesn’t he deserve to be punished? I know you’ve grown up together like brothers, you’re as close as hands and feet, and can’t live without each other, but I still can’t accept it, him leaving just like that, it’s like he doesn’t consider me at all, is he even fit to be my husband? Sure, he’s an economic emperor of the world, but even so, he has his own family. For his business, he abandons his family, does he care about us at all? I don’t know where he is now, I don’t know where to start looking for him; the world is so big, if he wants to leave me I can’t find him anywhere, I just hope I can walk hand in hand with her forever, is that really so hard? After all the hardships, we finally became husband and wife, but for a trivial matter he blew up like this, it’s world-shattering, how am I supposed to deal with this? My demands really aren’t that great, I’m not greedy, I just hope the person I love can live a happy, joyful, and happy life with me, and that’s enough for us, I don’t ask my husband to be rich or successful, I just hope he holds me most important in his heart, not abandoning me for anything. But today I realized, in his eyes, he might not see me as his wife, leaving me alone here to suffer from all the longing, but him? He leaves crisply and cleanly, without dragging his feet, it really makes me feel undervalued, I came to you because I hope you can help me, because I believe you are his best brother, you grew up together, she will definitely tell you where she went, but if even you don’t know where he is, maybe he is really angry with me and doesn’t want to bother with me anymore. When he figures it all out, he might come back, and until then, I won’t go looking for him anymore. If it’s not my fault, I can’t keep apologizing to him, that would just make him think I’m a weak and incapable woman, making her put me down time and again!”

Upon hearing Ran Zhihan’s words, Lei Jian simply couldn’t believe the woman on the other end of the phone was the same girl he had been close to for years. Why had she changed so much? Could it really be that people change so much after getting married?

”Zhihan, you really don’t need to make such a big deal out of this. Him leaving you here and going far away, it was his mistake, but you also shouldn’t harbor hatred and resentment against him. He is your husband, your spouse, the lifetime companion you’re supposed to walk with hand in hand. You should face life’s ups and downs together. After all the storms you’ve weathered, can’t you just let the hurts caused by these little lies slide? Sometimes turning a blind eye is a way to get along. As long as he’s not doing anything to betray you outside, you don’t need to manage him so much. You should think about taking good care of the life between you two at home, help out his grandfather more, accompany his grandfather, and that would be the best help for him. He doesn’t need you, his wife, to make a big contribution. In his world, you are the wife he married to love and cherish. He doesn’t care about the differences between you; he only cares whether you genuinely want to be with him, not because of money. Indeed, you have proven this and have not let all of us down. But does that mean you have to turn everything upside down? Look at the state of your household now; what kind of a home is this? He’s been my brother since childhood, I know what his character is like, he won’t agree to such a thing for no good reason. He only agreed to it because he loves you too much, to meet your parents’ demands. Since he promised, he, as a man, must fulfill his promise, otherwise how is he to manage his company or his empire? Sometimes less resentment, more tolerance, less complaint, and more comfort will make him act differently toward you. His heart is actually very fragile. He doesn’t accept much more than you do; he values everything, even values you more than his own career. Think about it, his career is something he’s strived for over a decade, but for you, he’s willing to give it up; that shows how much he loves you. So why do you still let down his good intentions? Since you’ve managed to come this far together, it shows that you’re truly meant to be; don’t dwell on who’s right or wrong. In truth, oftentimes there’s no right or wrong person, and apologizing can be a way to handle things. As long as you take the initiative to admit a mistake, even when it’s not your fault, the outcome between you two will be different...”

Ran Zhihan felt that what Lei Jian said was a profound truth. Maybe she had been too arrogant? Why should two people together worry about who is right or wrong? Isn’t it enough to live a safe and happy life hand in hand for the rest of their days? Why chase after so much right and wrong?
