The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 749: Chapter 749: Bestow a Numerical Name

Song Ci did not plan to just throw the few thin horses out, nor did she plan to let them into the rooms of her sons. Her intention was to keep them herself.

These specialized trained thin horses have undergone professional training in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, singing and dancing are no problem. She kept them in the courtyard, keeping them around to form a girl group to relieve her boredom on ordinary days.

After all, they are still clean girls. Keeping them is merely a matter of confining them to one room, and after some time has passed, she would let them go.

As for not releasing them now, Song Bai is as foolish as bread eaten by a dog. If she released them now, he might just bring back a few, doing the opposite, giving her unnecessary grief.

Now that the people are kept, he has nothing to say. The daughters-in-law have an explanation for him, and she doesn’t gain a jealous woman reputation, and he preserves his face, killing two birds with one stone.

As for competing with the sons for beautiful maids? Haha, the sons and daughters-in-law are filial to her, sending people over to relieve her boredom, who dares to say anything!

Is there anyone on earth who can stop children from being filial?

”I accept your filial piety, but since the people have come to my courtyard, when I let them go is up to me, and there is no going back on this.” Song Ci looked meaningfully at the two daughters-in-law and said.

Madam Jiang understood and smiled, ”Of course it’s up to Mother to decide. It is their fortune to serve Mother. If they cannot even serve Mother well, then they would not be useful to the Master. What use would they be?”

Madam Lu: ”If they can’t serve well, just send them to the pleasure houses to be retrained.”

Upon hearing this, the women immediately turned pale with fear, trembling like leaves.

”This humble maid will surely serve the Grand Madam well.”

Going to the pleasure houses would lead to no good end, merely becoming the object of countless riders and sleepers. All they seek is a place to settle. Serving someone is still serving, is it not?

Serving an old lady is surely better than serving countless men.

For the sake of a place to settle, they even have to try their utmost to serve well.

”You better not regret it. Serving this old lady may not be as pleasant as serving men.” Song Ci said coldly.

”This humble maid will never regret.”

Song Ci said, ”If that’s the case, then from left to right, your names will be One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, like that, Little One, Little Two.”

Everyone: ”...”

How disdainful must one be, not even willing to give proper names, this perfunctory?

Nanny Gong: ”The Grand Madam has bestowed names, aren’t you all going to thank her?”

One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six all bowed down together: ”Thank the Grand Madam for bestowing the names.”

Sob, we are not worthy of having names.

Song Ci said to Nanny Gong, ”Have someone prepare two rooms in the back, two people to a room to live in.”

”Yes.”

Nanny Gong called someone, and took the group away.

Song Ci stood up, and Madame Jiang quickly helped her back into the room.

”Mother, are we just going to keep these people like this, not sending them away?” Madame Jiang asked.

”Not for the time being, they are just playthings after all, keeping them here to relieve my boredom is good too.” Song Ci said, sitting on the Arhat bed, ”Nominally they are people from your rooms, but under the guise of filial piety sent to serve me, that way no one dares to say you are being jealous.”

”Mother, we are not afraid of that reputation, just think these people’s origins are unclear. Why not send them away, who knows what intentions they might harbor?”

Yangzhou thin horses are at best playthings, and can be sent away anytime, so Song Ci need not trouble herself, lest she nurture a viper by her side, ready to bite at any moment.
