The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 704: Chapter 704 Niu Pan’er You Scumbag Woman

As soon as Song Ci left, Song Zhiyu sneaked back to his wife’s room and said mischievously, ”What did my mom say to you? Was she complaining about me?”

Niu Pan’er was surprised, ”Why would you think that?”

Song Zhiyu pouted, ”It’s a guess, of course. Before she left, she nagged at me to behave and not cause trouble. If she says that to my face, what could she be saying to you? She sees me as a complete annoyance now.”

”Your mother cares about you the most. How could she be annoyed with you?” Niu Pan’er laughed, ”Her heart and mind are always with us younger folks. Everything she does is for us. She’s had a tough life; don’t talk about her like that.”

Song Zhiyu was taken aback and sheepishly said, ”I know my mom’s had a hard time; I’m just feeling a bit sour. After getting married, it feels like you’re her real daughter, and I’m just the son-in-law. She keeps telling me to treat you better, like I’m the water thrown out after a son marries.”

I really wonder which of us is actually her child.

”Rest assured, no matter what happens, I’ll treat you well.”

”That’s right, I’m your man. If you don’t treat me well, who else would you treat well?” Song Zhiyu was almost wagging his tail in happiness.

Niu Pan’er smiled but hesitated, then said, ”Sirl, Dad wrote and said that when our son turns one, the title of Princely Heir will be granted, and he’ll really take my surname. Are you truly okay with that?”

Song Zhiyu asked, bewildered, ”His formal name is granted by the emperor; of course, he’s Niu by surname. What’s there to mind? Just because he’s Niu doesn’t mean he’s not my kid. Would he dare deny me as his father? You’d probably beat him to death.”

Niu Pan’er burst out laughing. She had worried for nothing; as her mother-in-law said, he truly didn’t care one bit.

”Once I’m well, we’ll have another child who can carry your surname.”

Song Zhiyu’s face heated up as he glanced at her chest and said with a blush, ”Why bring this up now? It’s too early. Dr. Lin also said not to rush into having another; taking care of your health is the priority. Don’t always think about those improper images.”

Niu Pan’er rubbed her forehead and tentatively said, ”How about I find a good concubine to serve you?”

Song Zhiyu’s expression changed immediately; he glared at her and asked, ”What do you mean by that?”

”I can’t be with you right now, and if it gets too hard for you, wouldn’t it hurt me? If there’s a concubine, and she can have children, they’d take your surname...”

”Hey, Niu, just because you’re a Commandery Princess doesn’t mean you can bully people!” Song Zhiyu stood up angrily and said, ”Who wants a concubine? Stop pretending to be magnanimous and kind. I, as a man, haven’t considered it, but you did. What kind of wife pushes her husband out the door? Want to have an illegitimate child? I don’t care for bastards.”

”I...”

”I get it already. Mom said only those without feelings wouldn’t mind how many women there are. You must be like that.” Song Zhiyu felt hurt, ”Now that our son is born and the Prince Dingbei’s line continues, you see me as dispensable, so you’re shoving me off to other women. Aren’t you crafty, burning the bridge after crossing it?”

”It’s not like that. Listen to me...”

”Explain? I won’t listen, I won’t listen. You, Niu Pan’er, are just a heartless woman; I must have been blind.” Song Zhiyu stormed out angrily.

Niu Pan’er: ”...”

What did mother-in-law say about how to calm an angry husband again?
