The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 705: Chapter 705 Song 4 Lang, This Silly Guy

The husband was angry, and the consequences were a little serious. Just then, a message came from the palace; Emperor Chu wanted to see Niu Honghong, so Song Zhiyu immediately took people and carried his son into the palace.

He wanted to file a complaint.

When Song Ci learned that Emperor Chu had the little grandson brought into the palace, he couldn’t help but complain in his heart. Wouldn’t it be better to wait until the full month? The child was only a few days old, and it was still cold.

But he could only complain in his heart. After all, the person was the ultimate big boss. Never mind a few days after birth; if he wanted, he could have the newborn brought in to see.

Emperor Chu was intrigued after hearing Song Zhiyuan say Niu Honghong was very beautiful, which is why he had the child brought into the palace.

He just didn’t expect that the child’s father would also come along to file a complaint, complaining about the child’s mother, and that mouth was really quite talkative.

Emperor Chu held the child and silently looked at Song Zhiyuan.

Wasn’t it said that Song Junma would mature and become stable after becoming a father?

Song Zhiyuan: ”...”

Some things never change, like his young brother.

”...Your Majesty, where is there such a wife? Don’t wives everywhere wish to cling to their husbands? Take Your Majesty for example; don’t Ladies of the Harem dream of being your only favorite, seeing everyone else as nothing but dung...”

Song Zhiyuan couldn’t help but scold when he heard this: ”Impudent knave! Song Si Lang, why don’t you kneel and apologize to the Emperor?”

Song Zhiyu shrank his neck, and obediently knelt down, saying, ”Your subject has been disrespectful, please forgive me, Your Majesty.”

Emperor Chu smiled and said, ”No need to worry, Si Lang, get up. Prime Minister Song, don’t restrain him either. After all, I watched Si Lang grow up, and I’m certainly his elder brother.”

Song Zhiyu immediately lifted his head and chest with pride, looked triumphantly at his older brother, and sheepishly grinned when met with a warning glance.

Emperor Chu then said, ”Commandery Princess Dongyang is also magnanimous, so the husband doesn’t need to worry.”

”How could I not worry?” Song Zhiyu was very aggrieved and stifled, ”She’s so magnanimous, clearly she doesn’t keep me completely in her heart.”

Which man knows that his woman doesn’t keep him in her heart and feels happy about it?

He certainly wasn’t happy.

”This...” Emperor Chu was momentarily at a loss for words and could only laugh awkwardly and say, ”A woman’s mouth often says one thing and means another. She says this, perhaps only to test you; she wouldn’t really want to push you away, right?”

In saying this, Emperor Chu thought of his own harem—wasn’t the fragrant concubine also so magnanimous?

Could it be that she also didn’t keep me in her heart?

Song Zhiyuan saw Emperor Chu spacing out and couldn’t help but twitch his mouth. Had his brother dragged the emperor into a pit?

”Since Your Majesty says so, I’ll think of it that way for now.”

Emperor Chu nodded with a smile, looked down at the exquisitely carved child in his arms, and said, ”The child looks very good, like you.”

Song Zhiyu grinned proudly, ”Of course, he’s my own child.”

Emperor Chu: ”...”

”It’s my fault for having you bring him before the full month. You can go back, lest the Commandery Princess also becomes uneasy.” He had Duke Zhou send the child back to Song Zhiyu, who hugged the child and left after bowing.

Song Zhiyu had only taken a couple of steps before he turned around and shyly smiled, ”Your Majesty, you seem to have forgotten something.”

Emperor Chu: ”???”

”Isn’t it customary for an elder to give a little gift when meeting a younger for the first time? You can’t avoid this tradition, Your Majesty.” Song Zhiyu said with a cheeky smile, ”With Your Majesty’s boundless fortune, please bless my child Niu Honghong with some protection to ward off evil spirits!”

Emperor Chu: ”...”

Today’s instances of speechlessness were brought by Song Junma.

Song Zhiyuan: Song Si Lang, you fool!
