The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 729: Chapter 729: Trapping Sister? Song Zi Explodes

It’s not that Song Zi doesn’t trust her brother, in fact, she knows very well that this brother of hers is the kind of person who never gets up early without some advantage. Now that he’s suddenly interested in his own niece, her first thought isn’t being moved, but an inexplicable sense of caution.

She feels like her brother is going to screw her over.

Sure enough, her intuition was right, it’s not screwing the sister, it’s screwing the niece.

”Who did you say? Say that again?” Song Zi’s eyes were wide open, as if they might pop out, scaring her brother.

Song Zhiqing leaned back and said, ”Prince Xiao accidentally saw Zhihui on the street, was struck by her beauty as if he saw a celestial being, and wants to take her as his concubine...”

”Song Zhiqing, are you even human? What kind of uncle screws over his niece like this?” Song Zi’s body trembled with anger, pointing at him: ”Who are you trying to fool with this crap, what nonsense about seeing Zhihui on the street, I’ve always kept her indoors, she rarely goes out, when did he see her? Struck by her beauty as if seeing a celestial being? Pfft, Zhihui’s looks aren’t as amazing as you’re saying.”

Song Zhiqing said, ”During the Lantern Festival, didn’t your whole family go out to see the lanterns?”

Song Zi was taken aback.

This year’s Lantern Festival, the whole family indeed went out to see the lanterns, was it seen then?

”Prince Xiao saw Zhihui while inspecting his own lantern booth, which is why he had this idea.”

Song Zi snapped back to her senses, sneering coldly: ”Since he has seen her, why can’t he tell that my Zhihui hasn’t even reached womanhood and already thinks of making her his concubine? Ugh, an old prince wanting to eat young grass, shameless!”

Even though Song Zi is quite a savvy social butterfly in everyday life, when it comes to her own daughter, she can turn into a tigress, ready to bite any who infringe.

Song Zhiqing could only shed a sympathetic tear for Prince Xiao, arguing, ”Prince Xiao is only twenty this year, how is he the old cow you say he is? Besides, if you spread such words, aren’t you afraid of getting beaten to death?”

”It’s just the two of us here, who’s going to spread it? Those gossip mongers outside dare to spread it, and I’ll get Sister-in-Law to sell them all off!” Song Zi exploded: ”How is he not old at twenty, my Zhihui is just thirteen, she’s still two years away from reaching womanhood.”

”It’s not like they need to bring her into the house right now, can’t they wait until she reaches womanhood?”

”That would be even more unacceptable, in two years, he’ll be even older.”

Song Zhiqing’s face darkened: ”A bit older, more capable of cherishing someone.”

”Oh, it’s easy for you to talk like this since it doesn’t hurt you, why don’t you think about sending Wei’er, your own daughter, to be his concubine? Wouldn’t that be an even bigger age difference, more capable of cherishing? Oh, believe me, Sister-in-Law wouldn’t lose her mind like you, if you dared touch Wei’er, she’d probably take a knife and cut first ask questions later. Not to worry, Third Brother, don’t you have another daughter, what’s her name again?”

Song Zi thought for a moment and said, ”It’s Shuang’er, I heard she looks just like her mother, so she’ll certainly be a beauty when she grows up. Raise her well now, and by then she’ll be someone’s apple of the eye.”

Venomous, those words are so venomous!

Song Zhiqing slammed the table, shouting angrily: ”Song Zi, is this how you talk to your own brother? And besides, Shuang’er is also your niece.”

”Yelling louder than me?” Song Zi shrieked angrily: ”If it weren’t for the fact that you are my brother, I would’ve slapped you ages ago. Some uncle you are, throwing your niece to the wolves just to cozy up to the Royal Family.”

”Is that just any concubine? That’s Prince Xiao’s concubine.”

”A concubine is still a concubine, a side concubine is still a concubine!” Song Zi sneered, glancing slyly at the moon-white corner of the coat at the door: ”My daughter Song Zi, a legitimate daughter of an Official family, is not like some people with the ability to play a concubine.”
