The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 748: Chapter 748 Madam Tai Adopts the Seductive Fox

After learning the ins and outs, Song Ci didn’t trouble the two concubines. They were just young people, with their identity already set. What could they do when faced with an unreasonable and obstinate old man?

She kindly sent the two back to wait in the courtyard, telling them to stay put until she figured out a plan, which deeply moved them.

”Let’s go see those skinny horses,” Song Ci’s eyes sparkled.

Ah, the skinny horses from Yangzhou, trained female companions, specially groomed in ancient times for the grandees. Now they were at the Prime Minister’s Mansion.

Song Ci walked ahead, with Mrs. Lu and Mrs. Jiang following behind, whispering to each other.

”Second Sister-in-law, I think Mother seems somewhat excited,” Mrs. Lu whispered.

Mrs. Jiang: ”You noticed too? I thought it was just my imagination.”

The two exchanged a glance, understanding each other’s thoughts.

Now about those skinny horses, they were feeling uneasy. Having been selected to enter the Song Minister’s Mansion, they almost knelt on the ground at the time to thank the Three Pure Ones for providing them a good destination.

But when two were sent to the Prime Minister’s wife’s courtyard and quickly returned because the Old Madam was angry, they became a bit panicked.

As skinny horses, they knew their prospects weren’t promising. If fortunate, they might become concubines; if not, they’d be tormented unto death within days, marking the end of their lives.

But there’s no choice, who asked them to be born with such a fate?

However, now there’s a chance to change their destiny, and of course, they didn’t want to give up. They heard that the Prime Minister’s Mansion had a relatively clean family style, and their fate here might be better than in other households.

Being brought to the Old Madam’s courtyard now, would they be sold out?

”The Old Madam is here, why aren’t you kneeling?”

The women were startled and knelt down in a chorus, not daring to lift their heads.

Song Ci had someone set up a Taishi Chair under the veranda where she sat, looking at the line of skinny horses on the ground, and said, ”Raise your heads.”

The women timidly raised their heads to look at the dignified Old Madam sitting in the Taishi Chair, and were so captivated by her gaze that they almost prostrated themselves.

It was said that the Old Madam was a dear friend of the current Empress Dowager, a status beyond compare.

Song Ci looked over each one, thinking to herself how these ancient people really knew how to do things. Look at these young girls, in their prime, with various figures and features, each having their unique appeal, with their features gentle and captivating.

If she were a man, she probably wouldn’t be able to resist either.

And seeing these temptresses, Mrs. Jiang and Mrs. Lu, who stood beside her, instinctively clenched their handkerchiefs. If such vixens entered the house, wouldn’t all the men, big and small, be ruined by them?

They must defend at all costs!

”Indeed, they are all quite beautiful,” Song Ci observed for a moment, having made up her mind, and said, ”You don’t have names yet, do you?”

The women looked at each other, and one, daring like the one initially named Jiao Hua, bashfully said, ”The lowly maid requests the Old Madam to grant us names.”

”Names can be easily given. The six of you, you know why you came to my Mansion, don’t you?”

Jiao Hua timidly nodded, ”To serve the men of the house.”

Mrs. Jiang nearly felt the urge to pull out her hairpin and hurl it like an arrow, oh shameless vixens!

”That’s right, to serve people. They’ve each been assigned.” Song Ci said, ”As everyone knows, the sons and daughters-in-law of my Mansion are all filial. Seeing that this old woman was lonely and bored, didn’t they send you here to serve me and keep me entertained?”

The women were stunned, what?

Mrs. Jiang and Mrs. Lu were also taken aback, what kind of move was this?
