The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 719: Chapter 719: Just for the Thrill of Being Outrageously Awesome

When Song Ci came through, she was already fifty-seven, now it’s been almost two years, fifty-nine?

Nanny glanced at her and said, ”You were born in April, counting in traditional years, you’re already sixty-one.”

Ancient people always counted higher, even if it’s just for traditional years, they would add two more.

But Song Ci wasn’t willing to acknowledge her age, she huffed and said, ”Clearly, I’m fifty-nine, let’s only count real age.”

Nanny didn’t even lift an eyelid, smiling, ”As long as you’re happy, Madam and the others are thinking of throwing you a grand birthday celebration next year.”

”That means I’m going to receive a lot of lavish gifts again,” Song Ci’s eyes were shining.

Familiar look, familiar tone, familiar love for money.

Nanny chuckled, ”Yes.”

”It must be held, a full sixty years after all, considered long-lived, it must be celebrated.” Song Ci smiled cheerfully, already fantasizing in her heart about what lavish gifts she would receive next year.

Nanny handed over a cup of tea, thought for a moment, and asked, ”Madam, do you really love money so much?”

This lady, she likes to visit her private storehouse. When she’s bored, she also likes to take out her property booklet and look at it over and over again, the joy in her eyes is real.

But to say she loves money, the gifts she gives to the younger generation are given without hesitation, the degree of generosity is as if they weren’t even hers.

”Love it? Why wouldn’t I love it?” Song Ci looked at her and said, ”Have you forgotten my background? I was once terribly poor, naturally, I love money, because having money represents confidence, it means you can do many things, like charity, isn’t it because you have money that you can be so benevolent?”

If you have no money, you can only dream.

”I feel it’s not just for that reason, right?”

Song Ci chuckled sheepishly, ”You’ve seen through me. Haha, your Madam here is simply fond of being rich, very rich, the kind of rich where I don’t have to do anything, commonly known as life’s ultimate goal. Don’t you think that’s enjoyable?”

Although it’s a bit shameless, things like these where good fortune falls from the sky, she indeed finds it enjoyable, just seeing her personal storehouse’s treasures rising brings her a unique joy.

Becoming a fabulously wealthy woman was originally her daydream, now it may not be perfect, but at least it’s a dream come true, and there’s the opportunity to ’amass wealth,’ naturally, she can’t perfectly miss it.

”But having that much money is pointless; one person can’t use it all.” Nanny discussed her view on money with her for the first time.

Even someone like her, a servant, at this age, has enough assets to enjoy her old age comfortably, can’t even use it all; let alone Song Ci, with her status, there’s no worry over food and drink, so what’s the use of having so much money?

So she really couldn’t understand what the significance of Song Ci’s love for money was?

”Nanny, everyone has a kind of euphoria in their heart to pursue, some want power that rules the world, some want to have admiration on all sides, some want immense wealth, achieving it is their euphoric feeling. For me, it’s about that super-rich thrill, whether I can spend it all or not, the thrill is there, that’s how I please myself, nothing particularly meaningful, just because I like it, I like seeing myself rich with money to spare.”

She just likes that unapologetically wealthy feeling, so what?

Nanny was a bit speechless, alright, she admitted she couldn’t grasp that point.

”Let’s not talk about this. Nanny, some of the young girls are about to get married, do you have any young girls you fancy?”

Nanny was taken aback.
