The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Chapter 746: Chapter 746: If You Can Take Action, Then Don’t Blabber

Song Ci looked at Concubine Mei and Shui Lianlian, saying nothing until both their faces turned pale and knees trembled before she finally spoke.

”You two, not doing very well, are you?”

At her words, both fell to their knees with a thud, kowtowed, and said in trembling voices, ”Please, Madam, spare us. It was our failure; we failed to persuade the Old Master. Please, Madam, spare us.”

”I have said before that apart from offspring, the Song Family will not mistreat you two. Even if the old man and I are gone in the future, you will be well taken care of, living a life of luxury and wealth. Did I ever make empty promises to you?”

Song Ci pointed at their attire, saying, ”Look at what you are wearing, everything top-notch, made from the best materials, with your heads adorned with vermillion hairpins. To put it bluntly, if you walk out wearing this, who would know you’re concubines? Even official wives from less noble households cannot match your splendor.”

Concubine Mei hurriedly expressed her loyalty, ”Madam is benevolent and generous, treating us with extreme tolerance. We wouldn’t dare forget your kindness, we pay respect to your longevity tablet daily!”

Song Ci retorted.

Oh, thank you, but entirely unnecessary.

”I don’t need you to set up any longevity tablet for me. I only have one request of you, and that is to serve the Old Master well, keeping him from acting recklessly. But how do you repay me?”

Shui Lianlian, eyes reddened, said, ”Madam, we have begged the Old Master in every way, but he stubbornly insisted on bringing those women back to the house.”

”That’s why I said your skills aren’t enough, that you haven’t completely captivated the Old Master. You need to be like those concubines who have the power to ruin a kingdom, making him abandon all other desires for you, with only the two of you in his heart, entirely listening to you. That’s what it means to be a favored concubine, understand?”

Concubine Mei and Shui Lianlian: ”...”

Jiang and Lu exchanged a glance, and honestly, their mother-in-law’s words reshaped their worldview.

To teach concubines how to be favored concubines, she must be the most generous official wife in the world, one of a kind.

Concubine Mei and Shui Lianlian couldn’t help but think the same. Isn’t their superior too magnanimous?

”Madam, doesn’t it bother you if the Old Master only listens to us?” Concubine Mei mustered up the courage to ask.

Song Ci looked at her with an expression as if she were an idiot, ”Why would it bother me? At my age, should I still be coaxing that ignorant old man? I’ve been doing that for half my life, and it’s enough. Surely, you don’t expect me to serve him at my age, do you? Dream on, let him make his own ’Dream of the Red Chamber’!”

Everyone: ”...”

The sense of humiliation was strong.

Song Ci added, ”Besides, do I look like someone who needs him to listen to me? To be honest with you, I don’t need him to listen to me at all. If he crosses the line, just beat him up. Once isn’t enough, then twice. As long as he’s not dead, he can be saved. See? Problems solvable by force are incredibly simple.”

If you can solve it with action, there’s no need for babbling, straightforward and direct.

Concubine Mei and Shui Lianlian shivered from head to toe, as if envisioning the tragic scene of Old Master Song being beaten to a pulp.

So brutal, so pitiful!

Jiang looked on in admiration; this was too impressive.

Lu reevaluated her mother-in-law, no wonder Young Master Song once said that things were rather tough for his father-in-law in the past; now she understood why.

”So, you failing in your duties as favored concubines has disappointed me. I am really unhappy.” Who the heck would be happy? Living comfortably, yet this damn old man went ahead and arranged concubines for his son? Disgusting!

Concubine Mei and the others were filled with guilt, wishing they could atone by slicing open their stomachs.

”It’s our failure; please guide us, Madam.”

We can be crafted into favored concubines!
