Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 98: NZNT: Chapter 98

Although the Fourth Raikage’s metal arm ring could withstand Yusuke’s Ryūjin Jakka’s slash, it could only withstand it for a moment.

After the metal arm ring on his right arm made contact with Yusuke’s zanpakutō for a breath, the Fourth Raikage sensed something was amiss. He immediately retreated quickly.

In that single breath, he discovered that the metal ring on his right arm had become scorching hot. The part that had touched the flames from the opponent’s blade was even starting to melt.

This shocked the Fourth Raikage, and he also felt that the situation was very tricky. If he were to make contact with the opponent’s weapon for another two seconds, his metal arm ring would be destroyed, and he might even lose his arm.

This discovery made the Fourth Raikage more cautious when facing Yusuke’s attacks.

But this didn’t make him afraid or lose his fighting spirit. In ninja battles, there were always various troublesome abilities. A temporary advantage didn’t mean anything. Ninjas had to seize the opportunity to deliver a fatal blow to their enemies.

The opponent’s flame-wreathed katana was indeed very powerful. But as long as he retreated in time every time he blocked, he wouldn’t injure his arm ring or arm.

It was like how a normal person would get burned if they held their finger in a flame for a second, but they wouldn’t feel anything if they quickly passed their finger through the flame.

The Fourth Raikage’s method seemed simple, but in reality, not many people could use it to deal with Yusuke’s flame slash. Only ninjas like the Fourth Raikage, whose reaction speed and physical speed had reached their peak, could do it.

Seeing the Fourth Raikage retreat, Yusuke immediately closed in on him. His Ryūjin Jakka slashed through the air, leaving trails of flame, forcing the Fourth Raikage to only block, unable to counterattack.

Seeing this, several Kumogakure ninjas immediately wanted to support the Fourth Raikage. But Yusuke killed them all with a single stroke.

These ninjas, facing Yusuke’s slash, mostly chose to block with their swords. The result was that they were cut down along with their swords. Their bodies were burned to cinders by the flames on Ryūjin Jakka.

Even those ninjas who dodged the slash were instantly ignited and turned to charcoal when they were swept by the flames wrapping around Ryūjin Jakka.

Seeing this, the Fourth Raikage immediately ordered the other Kumogakure ninjas not to approach the area where he and Yusuke were fighting, to avoid being accidentally injured. He knew that a master like Yusuke wasn’t something ordinary ninjas could deal with. Even a moment of restraint would cost them their lives.

After a series of exchanges, the Fourth Raikage felt that his normal ”Lightning Release Chakra Mode” wasn’t enough for him to defeat his opponent. He didn’t hesitate to activate his ”Full Power Mode.”

The blue lightning chakra surrounding his body suddenly turned golden yellow. Even his hair stood on end.

”Super Saiyan?” Seeing the Fourth Raikage’s new form, Yusuke was stunned.

In this state, the Fourth Raikage’s speed, reaction time, strength, and defensive abilities all increased significantly. Even the Sharingan’s dynamic vision could barely capture his movements.

After entering ”Full Power Mode,” the Fourth Raikage used his speed to create some distance between himself and Yusuke, who was constantly chasing him.

As soon as he created some distance, the Fourth Raikage immediately used his ultimate move. He hooked his left arm and quickly attacked Yusuke’s throat.

”Lightning Release: Chakra Mode!”

This dodge and counterattack, with incredible speed, would have killed a normal person before they could even react.

But Yusuke wasn’t an ordinary person. In that instant, the Fourth Raikage’s left arm, using ”Chakra Mode,” passed through Yusuke’s body, which had transformed into a flock of fire phantom crows.

Yusuke had transformed his body into genjutsu in time, dodging the Fourth Raikage’s lightning-fast fatal blow.

Because the Fourth Raikage’s speed was too fast, the flames on the fire phantom crows hadn’t even had time to wrap around the Fourth Raikage’s arm.

”In terms of personal combat strength, the Fourth Raikage should be the strongest among the Kage of the Five Great Nations,” Yusuke thought to himself, as the fire phantom crows re-formed into him.

”If so, I should also show some of my real strength.”

The flames on Ryūjin Jakka doubled in size. Yusuke turned into a flash of fire and charged towards the Fourth Raikage. The Fourth Raikage didn’t fear him in the least. He met Yusuke head-on, and the two clashed again.

In terms of Shunshin no Jutsu and attack speed, Yusuke was slightly inferior to the Fourth Raikage in ”Full Power Mode.” But in terms of lethality and range of attack, Yusuke was indeed stronger.

”Flame Release: Enzō no Jutsu!”

Activating the most powerful movement skill that complemented Ryūjin Jakka, Yusuke’s body blended into the surrounding flames. He continuously Shunshin’d out of the flames to attack the Fourth Raikage.

The mobility of ”Enzō no Jutsu” negated the Fourth Raikage’s speed advantage. Yusuke’s highly lethal slashes and the flames they created made the Fourth Raikage feel restricted. This resulted in the Fourth Raikage still being suppressed by Yusuke. He was gradually becoming more and more vulnerable.

”Water Release: Suidanpa!”

”Whoosh!”

Just as Yusuke found an opportunity to seriously injure the Fourth Raikage, a high-pressure water jet and a lightning-fast pen infused with Lightning Release chakra attacked Yusuke. This forced Yusuke to abandon his attack on the Fourth Raikage.

The ones who came to rescue the Fourth Raikage were the Eight-Tails jinchūriki, Killer Bee, and the Raikage’s bodyguard captain, Darui.

The ”Suidanpa” jutsu was released by Darui. He was proficient in both Water Release and Lightning Release. He could also combine the two to use ”Storm Release” jutsu.

Darui had dark skin, thick white hair, and a nonchalant expression on his face. He was also very muscular, but he looked quite ordinary standing next to the muscular Fourth Raikage and Killer Bee.

In terms of personal strength, Darui was arguably the strongest in Kumogakure, besides the Fourth Raikage, Killer Bee, and Yugito Nii.

Seeing Darui and Killer Bee come to aid the Fourth Raikage, Yusuke’s expression remained unchanged. This was one of his goals: to attract as many Kumogakure masters as possible to reduce the pressure on his side.

His eyes looked at Darui. Yusuke’s ”Yang Flame” suddenly activated.

Darui felt a sense of danger. Unfortunately, he didn’t notice the source of the danger. Before he could react, the Fourth Raikage suddenly kicked him away violently.

As soon as Darui was knocked away by the Fourth Raikage, a Kumogakure ninja behind him was instantly engulfed in crimson flames. He screamed a few times before falling silent.

The Raikage had already been ambushed by Yusuke’s ”Yang Flame” from the Sharingan. But he had dodged it with his extraordinary reflexes. However, he was still frightened.

”You two need to be careful. This guy isn’t an ordinary ninja!” the Fourth Raikage said solemnly.
