Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 84: NZNT: Chapter 84

Mizuki took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. Yusuke’s casual remark had echoed his innermost thoughts, making him feel a little uneasy.

”I’m here to see you this time because Orochimaru-sama wants to make a deal with you.” Mizuki said after calming down.

As he spoke, he pulled out a scroll from his pocket, held it up with both hands, and gently placed it on Yusuke’s desk.

”This scroll contains information about a very powerful organization. I believe it’s very important to you. If you agree to Orochimaru-sama’s request, I can give you the seal to unlock this scroll.”

After setting down the scroll, Mizuki looked at Yusuke with a hopeful expression.

Orochimaru clearly placed great importance on this mission to make a deal with Yusuke. Mizuki hoped he could deliver a satisfactory result to Orochimaru.

Yusuke didn’t look at the scroll. Although he didn’t know what was inside, he had guessed Orochimaru’s bargaining chip: information about Akatsuki.

”The information in this scroll is of no value to me,” Yusuke said calmly.

Mizuki quickly said, ”Orochimaru-sama also told me that although you’re very strong, this organization’s power is not to be underestimated. There are even masters who can defeat you. Also...”

Before Mizuki could finish, Yusuke interrupted him, ”I’m not interested in information about this organization. Tell me what Orochimaru wants in exchange!”

Yusuke knew more about Akatsuki than Orochimaru. Besides, he had someone inside Akatsuki, so he didn’t need Orochimaru’s information.

Seeing that Yusuke was completely uninterested in the information Orochimaru had provided, Mizuki could only continue, ”Orochimaru-sama knows that you destroyed Root. I assume you have all of Root’s experimental data. Orochimaru-sama knows that Danzō has been conducting experiments on fusing kekkei genkai into the human body. He hopes you can share that data with him.”

”Experimental data on fusing kekkei genkai into the human body?” Yusuke thought to himself.

Danzō had been researching the topic of fusing kekkei genkai into the human body in order to use Wood Release and the Sharingan. Yusuke had seen this data.

If he hadn’t stopped Danzō from destroying the Uchiha clan, Danzō would have transplanted a large number of Sharingan into his right arm, which had been infused with Wood Release cells.

He knew that Orochimaru in the original story had taken the ”Reanimation” route, directly taking over the bodies of the kekkei genkai ninjas he wanted. He didn’t need to fuse kekkei genkai. Fusing kekkei genkai was more like what Hiruzen was doing.

At this time, Yusuke naturally didn’t know that Orochimaru had been inspired by the power of his Fire Release and wanted to delve deeper into kekkei genkai abilities. His goal was to fuse the same type of kekkei genkai to strengthen his own abilities.

”What does Orochimaru want this data for?” Yusuke asked.

Mizuki said honestly, ”I’m sorry, I’m only here to make a deal with you on behalf of Orochimaru-sama. As for what Orochimaru-sama wants to use this data for, I don’t know.”

Yusuke nodded. He didn’t expect Mizuki to be able to guide Orochimaru’s plans.

”Tell Orochimaru that I don’t need his information. If he can help me get the other half of Hidan’s body, I’ll give him a copy of this experimental data.”

Yusuke was also very interested in the other half of Hidan’s body.

If he had Hidan’s immortal body, which could be reused, he could let loose in researching certain jutsu or tools that required human experimentation in the future.

Hearing Yusuke’s words, Mizuki didn’t dare to say anything more. He quickly nodded in agreement and turned to leave this place that made him feel oppressed.

Seeing that Mizuki wanted to leave, Yusuke showed a kind smile, ”Mizuki, don’t be in such a hurry.”

Hearing Yusuke’s words, Mizuki had to stop and turn around, looking at Yusuke with a puzzled expression.

Yusuke smiled, ”I think you’re a talented person. Why don’t you work for me in the Konoha Police Force?”

Mizuki, hearing this, showed a smile that was uglier than crying, ”Advisor-sama, I’m currently working on other things. I can’t...”

”Hmm?”

The smile on Yusuke’s face disappeared. He narrowed his eyes at Mizuki. The atmosphere immediately became tense.

A large bead of sweat rolled down Mizuki’s forehead. He quickly said, ”But no matter how big the job is, it’s not as important as the Police Force. I’ll be sure to ask for your guidance in the future.”

Yusuke’s smile returned, ”Don’t worry. I’ll find someone to take good care of you!”

Mizuki: ”...”

After leaving the Police Force, Mizuki took a deep breath.

”He’s truly terrifying. If I have to work under his nose all the time, it’s going to be torture.”

”I have to ask Orochimaru-sama if he can let me leave Konoha and go to his side!”

A week later, under the warm welcome of the Konoha villagers, the Kumogakure envoy, who had come to visit under the guise of establishing a peace treaty, arrived in Konoha.

The Kumogakure envoy’s visit was warmly received by Konoha’s high-ranking officials. As establishing a peace treaty required some time for discussion, many clauses needed to be negotiated and signed one by one. Therefore, the envoy would temporarily stay at the inn in Konoha, which was specifically for receiving foreign guests.

Normally, for such an important matter, Yusuke, as the Chief Hokage Advisor, would need to be present at the meeting.

But Yusuke, knowing the true purpose of the Kumogakure visit, was naturally uninterested in this time-wasting meeting.

As in the original story, a few days later, one night, the Kumogakure ninja launched an operation to kidnap Hinata. The one who took action was the leader of the Kumogakure envoy.

But Kumogakure’s operation failed. As soon as they kidnapped Hinata, they were discovered by the Hyuga clan.

Clan leader Hyuga Hiashi was furious. He personally killed the leader of the Kumogakure envoy.

Neither the Kumogakure envoy nor the Hyuga clan knew that their every move was being watched by an inconspicuous crow. This crow was Yusuke’s clone, Genya.

After the incident was exposed, it immediately caused a stir between Konoha and Kumogakure.

At this time, Kumogakure also saw Konoha’s weakness and the Third Hokage’s weakness. They not only denied the kidnapping of Hyuga Hinata but also accused Konoha of unreasonably killing the envoy they had sent. They forcefully demanded that Konoha hand over the culprit who had killed their envoy.

Facing Kumogakure’s unreasonable demands, Konoha naturally had to treat the matter seriously.

Soon, the Third Hokage summoned all of Konoha’s high-ranking officials to discuss a solution to this diplomatic crisis.
