Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 93: NZNT: Chapter 93

With a loud bang, the giant cat paw struck a red circular shield, but the weakened Two-Tails demonic cat didn’t have enough strength to push back Itachi’s Susanoo.

Susanoo’s left hand, holding the circular shield, slammed forward, causing the Two-Tails demonic cat to sway as if it had lost its balance. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Susanoo raised its sword again and slashed down at the Two-Tails demonic cat’s waist and back.

The Two-Tails demonic cat let out a cry of pain. It didn’t give up, still trying to struggle to escape. But Itachi wouldn’t give it that chance.

He controlled Susanoo to use its shield-holding left hand to hold the demonic cat’s head firmly, while its right hand, holding the red sword, continuously slashed at the demonic cat’s body.

With a series of loud bangs, the powerful attack waves from Susanoo kicked up a plume of dust tens of meters high.

Until Susanoo stopped attacking, the dust slowly settled, leaving a huge pit in the ground. The Two-Tails demonic cat lay quietly in the pit, as if it had lost all its strength.

If this had been a normal situation, such an attack, while not completely harmless to a tailed beast or a jinchūriki in tailed beast mode, could be easily resisted.

But Yugito Nii’s spirit was on the verge of collapse. She was only relying on the last bit of energy to sustain her actions. In this state, she was attacked violently by Itachi’s Susanoo. She immediately fell into a coma.

Gradually, Yugito Nii, who had fallen into a coma, passively de-transformed from tailed beast mode and returned to her human form.

Slowly manipulating Susanoo to grab Yugito Nii in its hand, Itachi breathed a sigh of relief, ”I haven’t let my teacher down. I’m sure he’ll be satisfied.”

At this time, the Kumogakure ninjas were looking at the giant Susanoo and the unconscious Two-Tails jinchūriki, Yugito Nii, in Susanoo’s hand, in disbelief.

”What kind of power is that? It’s not even a match for a jinchūriki.” A Kumogakure ninja muttered to himself.

”Is that red warrior some kind of powerful summoned beast? But I’ve never heard of a summoned beast like that.” Another Kumogakure ninja was terrified.

”Could this be the legendary Susanoo?” Dodai was also secretly shocked.

Some historical documents had recorded the ability of the Uchiha clan’s Mangekyō Sharingan Susanoo. Dodai recalled the descriptions he had seen in some of the materials.

Dodai knew that Yugito Nii was beyond saving. Sighing, he immediately led the remaining Kumogakure ninjas to quickly retreat to where they had come from.

”Yugito Nii’s performance is very strange. She didn’t even unleash the power of the Two-Tails before being defeated. Susanoo is indeed very powerful, but that attack should have been enough for the Two-Tails to withstand.”

Dodai, who was retreating while thinking, suddenly remembered Yugito Nii’s reminder before she was defeated, telling everyone not to look into that Uchiha boy’s eyes.

”Could it be that those Mangekyō Sharingan have some kind of powerful dojutsu that inflicted some kind of unknown damage on Yugito Nii?”

Dodai had analyzed the situation roughly. He also accelerated his retreat. He had to report the information here to the Fourth Raikage as quickly as possible.

Seeing the Kumogakure ninjas retreating, Itachi didn’t pursue them. The most important thing now was to get the Two-Tails jinchūriki to Yusuke as soon as possible.

Itachi first used Konoha’s unique communication method to order all the vanguard forces to temporarily retreat and stop attacking Kumogakure’s base.

He and Izumi would take the unconscious Two-Tails jinchūriki and their current team back to Yusuke’s base.

Itachi canceled Susanoo and the Mangekyō Sharingan. To be safe, he still used a sealing jutsu to temporarily restrict Yugito Nii’s abilities.

Yugito Nii had already been at the end of her rope. She was only holding on by sheer willpower.

Even if she had managed to retreat, she would need a ninja skilled in medical jutsu to treat her if she wanted to regain consciousness. It would take a very long time.

For example, in the original story, Kakashi, after being hit by Itachi’s ”Tsukuyomi,” fell into a coma not long after. He didn’t wake up until Tsunade returned to Konoha. He was even severely berated by Tsunade.

”My head is a little dizzy, and my vision is a little blurry.” Izumi swayed slightly. Itachi quickly helped her.

Itachi, who had experience with overuse of the Mangekyō Sharingan, naturally knew what was going on with Izumi.

Although Izumi’s Kōdo Shunshin didn’t consume much chakra, her chakra was weaker than Itachi’s and Shisui’s. Plus, she had used Kōdo Shunshin many times today. And her eyes were starting to feel uncomfortable for using Mangekyō Sharingan for a long time.

After instructing his subordinates to take Yugito Nii with them, Itachi picked Izumi up in a princess carry and said softly, ”Close your eyes and rest for a while.”

Izumi nodded, blushing slightly, and leaned her head against Itachi’s shoulder.

Izumi was small, so she wasn’t heavy. For Itachi, who practiced taijutsu, carrying her wasn’t a burden.

”I wonder if Teacher has any way to solve Izumi’s eye problem.” Itachi was filled with worry.

He had previously asked Yusuke if it was possible to fuse Shisui’s eyes into Izumi’s, but Yusuke had told him that there was no way to do that yet. Only the Mangekyō Sharingan of direct blood relatives could be used for fusion.

After returning to Kumogakure’s front line base, Dodai gave a detailed report to the Raikage about his encounter with the team led by Itachi. In his report, he focused on analyzing Itachi and Izumi’s abilities.

Based on his experience, he judged that both of them must have awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.

He used his analysis to describe the abilities of Itachi and Izumi’s Mangekyō Sharingan.

Upon hearing about the Mangekyō Sharingan, everyone in the Kumogakure tent looked puzzled. After all, in recent decades, only Uchiha Madara had shown the ability of the Mangekyō Sharingan in the ninja world. Most of the people who knew this history were no longer alive. The Third Tsuchikage, Ōnoki, was one of them.

Even Dodai had only seen information about the Mangekyō Sharingan from old documents.

Besides Itachi’s dojutsu that had weakened the Two-Tails jinchūriki, Yugito Nii, and his Susanoo ability, Dodai also described Izumi’s teleportation ability, which surpassed the Body Flicker Technique, in detail.

”Honestly, it’s a good thing that I’ve been the examiner for the partners of the Raikage’s ”Hell Stab Finger-Nukite” for so many years. I’m relatively used to this kind of super-high-speed attack. My reaction time can keep up.”

”Otherwise, I might have already died under that girl’s blade!”

Finally, Dodai sighed. He had a feeling that this time, Kumogakure might fail in its declaration of war on Konoha.
