Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 61: NZNT: Chapter 61

Looking at Kabuto, who was in a state of suspended animation, Yusuke ignited a small flame on his fingertip. His first priority was to deal with the wooden spikes that were piercing Kabuto’s body.

He touched the wooden spikes protruding from Kabuto’s body with his finger, and a soft ”whoosh” sound, like flames flickering, immediately rang out. The small flame on his fingertip instantly burned all the wooden spikes connected to Kabuto’s body to ashes, without harming Kabuto’s body at all.

In fact, if those wooden spikes hadn’t been left inside Kabuto’s body, Kabuto’s healing ability would have been enough to heal his body.

However, these wooden spikes hindered Kabuto’s ability to use chakra to repair and restore damaged tissue, causing him to expend a large amount of chakra, only able to sustain his life. He had no chance of recovering on his own. This also illustrated the terrifying power of the ”Sharp Spike Technique” from the side.

After dealing with the wooden spikes inside Kabuto’s body, Yusuke took out a ”Hashirama Cell Fusion Liquid” he had exchanged with Orochimaru and injected it into Kabuto’s shoulder.

Just like when he had saved the Fourth Hokage and his wife, Yusuke used the life-saving technique ”Mark of Life” to replenish Kabuto’s life force.

As soon as the ”Mark of Life” was completed, Kabuto coughed lightly and slowly opened his eyes.

”Teacher, I’m sorry. I couldn’t defeat the enemy, and I fell first.” Kabuto said weakly, looking at Yusuke.

Yusuke shook his head, ”No, you did a great job!”

”It was my lack of vigilance. I fell for a feint, giving that old geezer Danzō a chance!”

Hearing Yusuke’s words, Izumi, who was standing nearby, looked at him with a puzzled expression and asked, ”Brother, how did you suddenly appear here? And what about this head?”

Time went back about ten minutes. At that time, Yusuke was still fighting Sasori, Kakuzu, and Kisame Hoshigaki in the valley in Amegakure.

To quickly finish the battle, Yusuke directly released Ryūjin Jakka. For a moment, the entire valley became humid and hot due to the influence of Ryūjin Jakka’s flames.

Seeing Yusuke, surrounded by flames with an imposing aura, Sasori, Kakuzu, and Kisame Hoshigaki exchanged glances and decided to strike first.

Kakuzu formed hand seals, and the Wind Release and Water Release masked monsters beside him opened their mouths simultaneously, combining to unleash a composite jutsu.

”Wind Release: Water Release: Wind Water Wave Dance!”

Countless sharp wind blades mixed with water bullets with extremely high penetrating power densely covered the area where Yusuke was.

Facing Kakuzu’s composite jutsu, Yusuke swung Ryūjin Jakka forward.

This slash didn’t have any flames attached to it. It simply used Reiatsu to split the dense ”Wind Water Wave Dance” in front of him in half, leaving behind a large number of traces of water bullet impacts and wind blade cuts on the ground on both sides of Yusuke.

At this time, Sasori’s Third Kazekage human puppet had already flown above Yusuke, preparing to launch an attack from above.

”Magnetic Release: Sand Iron Barrier!”

”Kagero!”

As the Third Kazekage human puppet unleashed the Sand Iron Barrier, Yusuke’s dojutsu, ”Kagero,” was also activated at the same time.

The Third Kazekage human puppet, whose entire body was engulfed in golden-red flames, spewed out a large amount of black sand iron from its mouth, quickly forming a Sand Iron Barrier. The sharp spikes made of black sand iron instantly filled the area where Yusuke was.

”What!”

Sasori’s expression changed drastically. He hadn’t noticed how the enemy’s flames had attacked his Third Kazekage human puppet.

If it had been a normal attack with a visible trajectory, Sasori could have controlled the puppet to dodge using his superb puppet-making skills. But Yusuke’s attack, which directly ignited the target after visually locking onto it with his dojutsu, was very difficult for Sasori to react to.

Realizing that the Third Kazekage human puppet was beyond saving, Sasori decided to increase the chakra output, maximizing the power of the Sand Iron Barrier. It was also the Third Kazekage human puppet’s final act.

The already dense sand iron spikes immediately extended more branches, instantly filling the entire valley, leaving only a few gaps in the area where the Akatsuki members were.

”Humph, although I lost my most precious Third Kazekage human puppet, it’s worth it to be able to kill an enemy like this,” Sasori thought to himself.

”Kakuzu, use Lightning Release!” Although Sasori considered this full-coverage Sand Iron Barrier to be foolproof, he still reminded Kakuzu to continue attacking to ensure that the enemy was completely eliminated.

Hearing Sasori’s voice, Kakuzu immediately understood what he meant. Sand iron contained a lot of iron, so it was conductive. At this time, using Lightning Release would maximize its power.

But before Kakuzu could complete his Lightning Release, the Akatsuki members saw a small spark of fire ignite in the center of the black Sand Iron Barrier.

From that spark of fire, the flames instantly spread to the entire Sand Iron Barrier. The black sand iron spikes that had been crisscrossing the valley were all ignited by golden-red flames.

In just a few seconds, the Sand Iron Barrier that had covered the entire valley melted away, completely broken.

”Impossible. How can his Fire Release jutsu be so hot?” Sasori was shocked. Kakuzu and Kisame Hoshigaki were also stunned by the sight.

However, before they could take any further action, Kisame Hoshigaki suddenly screamed in pain, and half of his body was suddenly engulfed in flames.

”He’s using dojutsu to activate the flames!”

At this time, Sasori finally noticed how Yusuke activated his flame attacks. It was by visually locking onto the target with his dojutsu.

Although this visual attack method was very strange and difficult to dodge, it wasn’t completely impossible to deal with once a skilled ninja noticed it.

For example, in the original story, Itachi’s ”Amaterasu” had a slight delay after visually locking onto a target before the flames ignited.

If the target locked onto by the Sharingan’s gaze was agile enough, they could dodge the flames by moving quickly. Yusuke’s ”Kagero” could also be dodged in this way.

Although Sasori had figured out how Yusuke activated ”Kagero,” the next scene that appeared even more surprised him and Kakuzu.

Yusuke’s upper body suddenly emerged from the flames burning on Kisame Hoshigaki’s shoulder.

Feeling a sharp killing intent coming from behind his shoulder, Kisame Hoshigaki hurriedly turned his head. He saw a pair of golden-red Sharingan looking at him indifferently.

A crimson blade light flashed, and a burning head flew through the air.

”Amazing!”

The head exclaimed in the air, and those were the last words Kisame Hoshigaki spoke in his life.

After dealing with Kisame Hoshigaki, Yusuke didn’t hesitate for a moment before attacking Sasori.

Kakuzu’s Earth Grudge Fear ability, when equipped with four chakra hearts of different attributes, could shield him from four fatal attacks. Therefore, it would be easier to deal with Sasori first.
