Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 64: NZNT: Chapter 64

At this moment, Shisui’s chakra and dojutsu power were running low. He didn’t use the ultimate move he had used against Yusuke, ”Yasaka no Magatama,” but instead used the relatively weaker ”Susanoo: Ninjutsu: Ninety-Nine.”

Countless emerald-green energy arrows shot out from the emerald-green tomoe in the chest of Shisui’s Susanoo, and Fugaku could only control his Susanoo to defend.

Under the attack of these dense and powerful energy arrows, the armor and muscles of Fugaku’s Susanoo faded away at a visible speed. In an instant, only a layer of bones remained, struggling to hold on.

Seeing that he was about to break through Fugaku’s defense, Shisui roared, pouring the last of his dojutsu power into his Sharingan without reservation. Two lines of blood flowed down his cheeks.

The number of emerald-green energy arrows instantly increased. At the same time, Shisui controlled his Susanoo to forcefully throw the spiral sword in his hand at Fugaku.

With a loud bang, the spiral sword hit Fugaku’s Susanoo, creating a powerful energy shockwave.

As Shisui’s dojutsu power ran out and his Susanoo slowly faded, Fugaku’s Susanoo was also destroyed and disappeared.

Although Shisui’s dojutsu and chakra were completely depleted, he had still won this battle!

At this time, Fugaku was barely standing, clutching his bleeding abdomen, refusing to fall.

His chakra and dojutsu power were still remaining, but after his Susanoo was destroyed by Shisui, he hadn’t had time to dodge and was hit in the abdomen by an energy arrow. Although the injury wasn’t fatal, it had almost rendered him combat-incapable.

”Clan leader, I won this battle unfairly. But for the future of the village, I had no choice but to do this!”

Shisui knew that Fugaku was originally stronger than him. But because he was wary of Danzō, who was standing nearby, Fugaku had been controlling his chakra and dojutsu power to avoid overexertion.

However, this move by Fugaku was a big mistake in battle. As the saying goes, even when hunting a rabbit, a lion should give its all. Fugaku’s conservatism gave Shisui the opportunity to win, allowing him to use his ultimate move to break through his defense and severely injure him.

”The victor takes all. There’s nothing much to say.”

”It’s a pity that I never imagined that the clan would be defeated by its own people. I regret not listening to Yusuke’s words back then!”

Fugaku chuckled miserably, then coughed violently, and a large amount of blood spilled from his mouth.

Shisui, holding his short sword, slowly walked up to Fugaku.

”Clan leader, the clan didn’t lose to me. It lost to the tide of time, to the ’Will of Fire’ that has been passed down through generations in Konoha!”

Looking at Fugaku, Shisui raised his short sword.

”Be careful!”

But at this moment, Fugaku suddenly pushed Shisui away. Shisui, confused, instinctively dodged. He saw a bandaged hand suddenly appear in front of him, its nails scratching his nose, causing a spray of blood.

It turned out that Danzō, taking advantage of Shisui’s focus on Fugaku, had suddenly attacked, attempting to directly take Shisui’s eyes.

As the clan leader of the Uchiha clan, Fugaku was extremely disgusted by the act of taking a clan member’s eyes. Although Shisui was his enemy, Fugaku couldn’t help but warn him and push him away.

After failing to steal Shisui’s eyes, Danzō took the opportunity to spit out several ”Wind Release: Vacuum Bullet” from his mouth, directly piercing Fugaku’s body.

Suffering a fatal attack from the Vacuum Bullet, Fugaku collapsed to the ground, coughing up blood.

”Father!”

At this time, Itachi suddenly arrived, just in time to see Fugaku being knocked down by Danzō.

Itachi, his eyes bloodshot, quickly dealt with the Root ninjas maintaining the barrier around him and rushed to Fugaku’s side, supporting him.

Looking at the several holes pierced by the Vacuum Bullet in Fugaku’s body, Itachi couldn’t hold back his tears.

Although Itachi wanted to tell his father, Fugaku, ”It’s going to be alright,” he was a rational man and knew that there was no way to find a medical ninja to treat his father at this critical juncture.

Fugaku, with such injuries, could only hold on for a few more minutes at most.

”Itachi, don’t be sad. It’s my fault. I failed you, both as a father and as a clan leader.”

”The clan is at its most critical moment. Perhaps the Uchiha clan will cease to exist after tonight. If you have the chance, don’t think too much. Just run away!”

Hearing Fugaku’s words, Itachi wiped away his tears and said resolutely, ”Father, don’t worry. I will definitely save Mother, my brother, and all the clan members! The Uchiha clan will definitely rise again!”

A slight smile appeared on Fugaku’s lips, ”You have always been my pride! Let me use my last dojutsu power to show you the future of the clan!”

Hearing Fugaku’s words, Itachi was slightly stunned. It was only today, when he was searching for Fugaku’s whereabouts with his Genjutsu Crow clone, that he saw Fugaku using Susanoo to fight Shisui from afar, and he learned that Fugaku had also awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.

From Fugaku’s words, it seemed that one of his Mangekyō Sharingan abilities was to see the future!

Fugaku’s Sharingan, which had already exited the Mangekyō state, returned to its Mangekyō form. In that instant, a series of future events and scenes appeared before Fugaku’s eyes, like a slideshow.

Fugaku’s ability to see the future was far beyond that of the Sannin of Mount Myōboku. The Sannin could only vaguely see a fragment or some relevant clues, but Fugaku’s Mangekyō Sharingan could see a series of future events and scenes.

However, because the ability to see the future was too powerful, the Mangekyō Sharingan that possessed this ability could only be used once. Therefore, even until now, Fugaku had never used this ability.

”Hahahahahaha!”

Fugaku suddenly burst into laughter.

His laughter wasn’t like a desperate laugh or a crazy laugh of despair. It was a truly comforting and joyful laugh.

Fugaku’s laughter immediately attracted the attention of everyone present. They all turned their gazes towards him.

”Cough, cough.”

After laughing, Fugaku, whose lungs had been pierced, coughed violently. His face flushed as blood rushed to his head. It was obvious that he couldn’t hold on for much longer. He was at the end of his life.

”Father, you...” Itachi gently patted Fugaku’s back, preparing to say something to comfort him. But before he could speak, Fugaku waved his hand to stop him.

”Itachi, I’m dying, but the clan will definitely overcome this crisis!”

”From now on, your teacher, Yusuke, is the clan leader of the Uchiha clan!”
