Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 66: NZNT: Chapter 66

In the area where the Root ninjas and the Uchiha clan ninjas were engaged in battle, the Uchiha clan had gained the upper hand, while the Root ninjas were dwindling in number.

With Yusuke’s absolute strength, the Uchiha clan ninjas were greatly boosted in morale. They followed Yusuke, relentlessly reaping the lives of the Root ninjas.

As crimson blade lights flashed, the Root ninjas who were still desperately resisting were turned into charred corpses. Not a single Root ninja could withstand more than three attacks from Yusuke.

Aburame Torune, who was temporarily leading Root in place of Danzō, was the first to fall victim to Yusuke’s katana.

Looking at the Root ninjas who were still fighting desperately without fear of death, Yusuke couldn’t help but admire Danzō. Although he was ruthless and cruel, he was undeniably skilled at training his assassins.

In ancient warfare, armies with even the best training would usually collapse after suffering around 30% casualties. At this time, only 30% of Root’s ninjas remained, but they were still persisting.

Such willpower was something even Yusuke couldn’t help but admire.

But admiration aside, Yusuke had decided to eradicate Root!

Finally, under the onslaught of Yusuke and the Uchiha clan ninjas, the last few remaining Root ninjas finally collapsed.

Having lost their fighting spirit, they began to move in different directions, hoping to escape with their lives.

Looking at the Root ninjas scattering in all directions, Yusuke snorted coldly and quickly formed hand seals.

”Fire Illusion Crow Technique!”

As he completed the hand seals, Yusuke’s body transformed into dozens of illusionary crows surrounded by flames, flying into the air. Each of these crows had the same pattern as Yusuke’s Sharingan in their eyes, and they were all staring intently at a fleeing Root ninja.

”Flame Release: Kagero Dance!”

At that moment, the dozens of Root ninjas who were still fleeing suddenly burst into flames without warning. For a moment, the area was filled with the screams of the Root ninjas, who were dying in agony. Even the Uchiha clan ninjas who were chasing them felt a chill run down their spines.

These Root ninjas didn’t struggle for long under the ”Kagero.” They all eventually turned into charred corpses.

Thus, all the Root ninjas who had participated in the attack on the Uchiha clan were eliminated!

This ”Flame Release: Kagero Dance” had consumed a large amount of Yusuke’s dojutsu power and Yin Release chakra. At this time, Yusuke’s own dojutsu power and chakra were also running low.

However, he still had a lot of Yin Release chakra from the Nine-Tails Curse Mark remaining, so Yusuke wasn’t worried.

After eliminating all the enemies, the dozens of flame-encircled crows reassembled into Yusuke. The Uchiha clan ninjas present all looked at him with awe.

Tonight, Root had suddenly launched a massive attack. Although the Uchiha clan had responded in time, they had been suppressed by Root and were in a very dangerous situation.

If the Uchiha clan ninjas present had all died in battle, the elderly, women, and children who were hiding wouldn’t have been able to survive. The Uchiha clan would have been truly wiped out.

At this critical moment, clan leader Fugaku hadn’t been able to appear and take charge, but Yusuke had descended from heaven like a god, suddenly appearing and destroying the Root ninjas with overwhelming force.

This instantly raised Yusuke’s prestige within the Uchiha clan to its peak!

”Yusuke-sama! Thank goodness you came back. Otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable!”

”Yusuke-sama! It’s so good to have you here!”

”Yusuke-sama! You are truly the most reliable pillar of the clan!”

At this time, the Uchiha clan ninjas all surrounded Yusuke with happy faces, expressing their gratitude and respect for him.

However, soon, some Uchiha ninjas began to express more radical opinions. These ninjas were naturally the radical faction of the Uchiha clan.

”Yusuke-sama, let’s go raid Root’s headquarters!”

”Yes, Yusuke-sama, I think this must be a conspiracy by Konoha’s high-ranking officials. Why don’t you lead us to kill the Hokage? We’ll all support you as the new Hokage!”

”Yes, Yusuke-sama, let’s go kill the Hokage now!”

Hearing these voices, Souichiro was shocked. He looked anxious and tried to persuade everyone not to act rashly, but no one paid any attention to his advice.

”Quiet!”

Yusuke said calmly. As he finished speaking, he immediately released his Reiatsu, using his aura to silence the enraged Uchiha clan members.

Under the influence of Yusuke’s Reiatsu, the Uchiha clan members present felt a sense of pressure from their souls. For a moment, the entire area was silent. Everyone looked at the calm Yusuke with awe.

After controlling the situation, Yusuke retracted his Reiatsu and said slowly, ”Root must be destroyed!”

”But the most important thing now is to rest and treat the injured clan members.”

”Today, only Root attacked us. The high-ranking officials of Konoha shouldn’t have been involved. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have been able to hold out until I came back to rescue you!”

”But don’t worry, everyone. No matter what, Konoha’s high-ranking officials must give us the Uchiha clan an explanation for this!”

Although Yusuke knew that Danzō and Root’s actions must have been approved by the Third Hokage, the Uchiha clan wasn’t strong enough to go against the entire Konoha. Moreover, the Uchiha clan’s enemies weren’t the entire Konoha Village. Therefore, Yusuke didn’t plan to launch a violent coup.

But although he wouldn’t launch a coup, Yusuke had to make the Third Hokage pay!

After suppressing the radical Uchiha clan ninjas, Yusuke instructed Souichiro to take charge and arrange for the clan to rest. He then rushed towards the location where Danzō, Fugaku, and the others were.

Earlier, when Fugaku and Shisui were fighting with their Susanoo, Yusuke had sensed their chakra fluctuations from afar.

”Now, both the clan leader’s and Shisui’s Susanoo chakra have disappeared. It seems the battle is over. Hopefully, the clan leader was able to defeat Shisui.”

Yusuke thought to himself as he quickly rushed towards his destination.

However, Yusuke didn’t know that Fugaku had already died and Shisui had lost his fighting ability.

At this time, Danzō and Itachi were facing each other.

On the other side, Itachi gently laid down his father, Fugaku’s, body and walked towards Danzō, who was on high alert.

Danzō was very wary of the abilities of the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Having been an enemy of the Uchiha clan for many years, no one knew better than he the terrifying power of the Mangekyō Sharingan. This was one of the main reasons why he had always advocated for the complete extermination of the Uchiha bloodline.

”Uchiha Itachi, do you think the Uchiha clan still has a chance?”

”By now, your clan should have been completely wiped out by my men.”

”If you run away now, you might still have a chance to survive.”

Looking at Itachi, who was slowly approaching, Danzō said coldly.

At this time, Danzō wasn’t confident that he could defeat Itachi, who possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan. Therefore, he hoped to drive Itachi away with words and then find a way to eliminate him later.

Itachi, as if he hadn’t heard Danzō’s threats, continued to approach him step by step.

”Danzō, only an Uchiha can defeat an Uchiha.”

”If it weren’t for that traitor, Shisui, you wouldn’t be a match for the Uchiha clan.”

”Now, it’s time to take care of you!”
