Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 74: NZNT: Chapter 74

Hearing this, the previously quiet crowd erupted in a wave of support. Most of them voiced their agreement.

Uchiha Kenjiro awkwardly glanced at Yusuke before explaining loudly, ”Yusuke is the strongest ninja in our Uchiha clan and a hero of the Uchiha clan. This is undeniable.”

”But Yusuke focuses on training and rarely participates in clan meetings. He doesn’t know much about the complex affairs of our clan. I’m sure he has no intention of becoming clan leader.”

Of course, Uchiha Kenjiro didn’t want Yusuke to become clan leader. Someone like Yusuke was clearly not someone he could control. If Yusuke truly became clan leader, his power wouldn’t increase, but it might be gradually weakened instead.

At this time, Itachi, who had been silent, stood up and walked to the center of the meeting hall.

”There’s something I need to formally announce to everyone.”

”Before my father died, he had already entrusted the position of clan leader to Teacher Yusuke. I also believe that only Teacher can lead the clan to rise again!”

After Itachi’s announcement, not only Uchiha Kenjiro, but the other two clan elders were also unsettled.

Although they didn’t know how Yusuke would manage the clan if he became clan leader, they all had a feeling that he wouldn’t be as easy to control as Fugaku.

The three elders exchanged glances and immediately reached an agreement. They had to stop Yusuke from becoming clan leader first. They could discuss their own interests later.

”Itachi, besides you, was anyone else present when your father made this appointment?”

The speaker was one of the three elders, named Uchiha Makoto.

Although Uchiha Makoto was quite old, he still had a handsome face. It was clear that he must have been a striking young man in his youth.

After Uchiha Makoto finished speaking, the Uchiha clan members present began to whisper among themselves.

”I was also present. I wonder if you all believe me?” Yusuke’s voice rang out, silencing the noisy crowd.

Feeling Yusuke’s gaze on him, Uchiha Makoto suddenly felt like the air around him had solidified. It was as if he had fallen into a swamp, and every move he made became difficult.

”Is this genjutsu? No, it seems to be just a pure aura.” Uchiha Makoto was shocked.

A bead of cold sweat slowly trickled down his forehead. After much deliberation, Uchiha Makoto decided to listen to his gut, ”Of course. Since you were also present, Yusuke, then I believe it must be true!”

After saying this, Uchiha Makoto suddenly felt a sense of relief. The feeling of being bound immediately disappeared.

While secretly sighing at Yusuke’s terrifying power, Uchiha Makoto took out a handkerchief and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

”Humph! Even though it was Fugaku’s last wish, the clan leader of our Uchiha clan isn’t simply decided by the appointment of the previous clan leader!”

Seeing that Uchiha Makoto had caved in, his old rival, the other elder, Uchiha Mitsuyoshi, was very displeased. He snorted coldly and stood up.

Unlike Uchiha Kenjiro’s sturdy build and Uchiha Makoto’s handsome features, this elder was extremely obese. If it weren’t for his serious expression, he would have looked rather comical.

However, as soon as he finished speaking, he immediately experienced the same feeling that Uchiha Makoto had just experienced.

Yusuke smiled at Uchiha Mitsuyoshi and said calmly, ”Then, Elder Mitsuyoshi, do you have any objections to my candidacy for clan leader? If you do, please don’t hesitate to share them.”

Although Yusuke was smiling brightly, everyone present could see the sharp, blade-like gaze in his eyes. He was clearly putting pressure on Uchiha Mitsuyoshi. ℴ

Although he wanted to gather his thoughts and come up with some objections, Uchiha Mitsuyoshi found that because of the pressure Yusuke was putting on him, even thinking was more difficult than usual.

He opened his mouth with difficulty, and a dry cough escaped his throat because of his dry mouth. But he couldn’t respond to Yusuke’s words.

Yusuke didn’t bother with Uchiha Mitsuyoshi any further. He stood up and looked around, his gaze falling upon the Uchiha clan members present.

”Originally, I was just focused on training and didn’t get too involved in clan affairs.”

”But after this Root attack, I’ve seen too many problems within our Uchiha clan.”

”It’s clear that the clan has been declining for years. It has declined to the point where even a mere organization like Root dares to attack our Uchiha clan!”

”Now, Clan Leader Fugaku has entrusted the clan to me before he died. So, I will naturally accept this responsibility!”

Yusuke released his Reiatsu with full force, engulfing the entire meeting hall. His sharp gaze swept over all the clan members present.

”Who agrees? Who disagrees?”

After Yusuke finished speaking, the entire meeting hall was silent.

Even the three elders who wanted to object unconsciously lowered their heads when they met Yusuke’s gaze. Not a single person dared to stand up.

At this time, the Uchiha clan members of Fugaku’s faction, led by Souichiro, immediately shouted Yusuke’s name, supporting him as the new clan leader of the Uchiha clan.

Thus, Yusuke officially became the new clan leader of the Uchiha clan!

In a remote, uninhabited part of the ninja world, there was a mountain called ”Shumisen.”

This mountain was hidden in the clouds, looking eerie and sinister. There was no sign of birds or animals on the entire mountain. The surrounding cliffs were treacherous, and below them were sharp, jagged rocks.

In a dark cave deep within Mount Shumisen, there were occasional chilling screams.

In the deepest part of the cave, a naked man was lying on an operating table. Standing in front of the operating table was a middle-aged man with white hair and a white robe.

The man on the operating table had his limbs sealed and couldn’t move at all.

This white-haired middle-aged man wasn’t performing surgery to treat the man on the operating table. He was conducting a very cruel human experiment.

As the screams grew fainter and the man on the operating table became weaker, he eventually fell silent.

”Damn it, another failure!”

”This guy’s kekkei genkai is too weak. It can’t be used in my ’Demonic Statue of the Realm of Living Beings’ technique. It seems I need to find some more kekkei genkai ninjas to continue experimenting.”

Putting down his tools, the white-haired man sighed in frustration.

But at this time, a gloomy, hoarse voice echoed through the cave.

”What a fascinating idea. I’m actually very interested in your technique. Would you be willing to share some experience with your old friend?”

”Hiruzen.”
