Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 87: NZNT: Chapter 87

The researcher who stepped forward was pale, thin-faced, with thinning hair and deep dark circles under his eyes, as if he had applied smoky eye makeup.

His eyes were bloodshot, and his gaze was a little off, hinting at a hint of madness.

This researcher was named Arasa Tayama. He was Yusuke’s most capable subordinate in the Konoha Research Institute, besides Kabuto. He was obsessed with biological science research and was the person Hidan feared the most.

Yusuke raised his hand slightly and introduced Arasa Tayama to everyone, ”This is Dr. Arasa. He’s the director of the Biology Department at the Konoha Research Institute. He’ll be demonstrating the institute’s latest research findings to you all.”

”Also, his demonstration will be a little bloody. Originally, I wanted to use animals as substitutes, but Arasa insisted on demonstrating this achievement himself. I couldn’t persuade him no matter how hard I tried.” Yusuke added, as he didn’t want everyone to think of him as a sadist who abused his subordinates.

After Yusuke finished, Arasa extended his right hand, revealing a seal on his wrist.

”Please look, everyone. This seal is called the ’First Aid Seal.’ When the seal’s owner is seriously injured, they only need to activate the seal with chakra to activate the powerful healing ability within the seal,” Arasa said in a hoarse voice.

As soon as he finished speaking, Arasa, in front of everyone’s surprised gazes, took out a kunai and stabbed it into his chest. Blood splattered everywhere.

Arasa was truly the most ruthless person in the institute. He stabbed the kunai deep, even piercing his lung. After stabbing himself, Arasa coughed violently, spitting out a lot of blood.

Most of those present were ninjas who were used to seeing death. Although they were surprised by Arasa’s actions, their expressions remained calm. However, some of the civilian staff were scared and screamed.

Soon, something incredible happened that left everyone in the room speechless. They saw a powerful chakra flow from the seal on Arasa’s wrist to his injured area.

In just a few seconds, not only had Arasa’s chest wound healed completely, leaving only a scar, but his coughing caused by lung damage had also stopped.

Everyone could see that this seal didn’t just repair external injuries. It even repaired the damage to Arasa’s lung. It was clear that even internal organ damage could be quickly healed.

”As you can see, my injury has now healed completely. However, although the ’First Aid Seal’ is powerful, once it’s activated, it will consume all the life force within it. If you need to use it again, you’ll need to inject a special replenishing solution.”

After speaking, Arasa showed everyone the seal in his hand, which had become dull in color. Then, he took out a syringe and injected the replenishing solution into the seal.

The seal then gradually returned to its original color.

What Arasa had demonstrated was naturally the ”Life Seal” that Yusuke had developed. However, Arasa and the researchers at the Konoha Research Institute had made many changes to the ”Life Seal.”

The modified ”First Aid Seal” didn’t have the same powerful healing ability as the ”Life Seal,” but it could be stored on the user’s body and triggered manually when needed.

Furthermore, after use, the life force within the seal could be replenished by injecting a replenishing solution, allowing it to be reused multiple times. This replenishing solution was a diluted version of the ”Hashirama Cell Fusion Solution.”

In addition, the ”First Aid Seal” consumed far less Hashirama cells than the ”Life Seal,” and its medicinal properties were also much milder, making it more suitable for widespread use.

Arasa then gave a detailed introduction of the ”First Aid Seal,” allowing everyone present to understand its applicability and ease of use. Everyone in the room showed excited and elated expressions.

In ninja wars, the casualty rate was very high. This was something that all ninja villages were most concerned about.

Now, with the ”First Aid Seal,” Konoha ninjas essentially had an extra life. Their chances of survival on the battlefield would be greatly increased.

”I can’t believe the institute has already made such a significant achievement before it’s even been built. It’s truly worthy of the Chief Advisor!”

”Yes, with this seal, even if Kumogakure and Kirigakure join forces, we’ll have nothing to fear. This time, we’ll teach them a lesson.”

For a while, the meeting hall was filled with discussions. Everyone was even more awed by Yusuke.

It was clear that this young Chief Advisor not only had extraordinary personal strength but also had great ideas for developing jutsu.

”With this seal, can we stop deploying medical ninjas in our teams and have all combat members? This would indirectly increase our combat strength, wouldn’t it?” the clan leader of the Inuzuka clan asked.

Nara Shikaku, who was sitting next to him, shook his head, ”This seal is a one-time use. After use, it needs to be replenished with energy. It’s more suitable for life-saving situations. In a long war, medical ninjas are still an indispensable force. They can treat non-fatal injuries.”

Yusuke added, ”Nara-sama is right. Besides, the amount of replenishing solution consumed by the ’First Aid Seal’ is limited. Therefore, it’s impossible for every ninja to have one.”

”In this war, the institute staff will apply a ’First Aid Seal’ to every ninja who goes to the battlefield. But only ninjas who are on extremely dangerous missions can apply for extra replenishing solution from me.”

Everyone thought this distribution was very reasonable.

At this time, the Third Hokage said solemnly, ”Yusuke, this seal is very important to the village. We must keep it confidential. It can’t fall into the hands of other villages! The institute must be under the protection of the Anbu.”

Hearing the Third Hokage’s words, Yusuke smiled, ”Third Hokage-sama, don’t worry. I’ve already made thorough preparations for confidentiality. I don’t need the Anbu to worry about it.”

Of course, Yusuke would take his intellectual property very seriously. He had improved Root’s ”Tongue-Tied Seal,” making it impossible for the seal to harm the subject. But it could force the subject to be unable to reveal any confidential information from the institute. It was a kind of forced confidentiality agreement.

Looking at Yusuke, who now had the upper hand, the Third Hokage knew that he wouldn’t be able to get his hands on the Konoha Research Institute for now.

But with this ”First Aid Seal” in his hands, Yusuke would inevitably become a hot commodity in Konoha. He would become even more difficult to deal with in the future.

After all, whether it was a ninja or a clan, everyone hoped that they or their clan members could have such a powerful life-saving method.

After using the ”First Aid Seal,” if they wanted to use it again, they would have to apply for a new replenishing solution from the Konoha Research Institute. This would naturally require Yusuke’s approval.

After demonstrating the ”First Aid Seal,” everyone began to formulate a battle plan against Kumogakure and Kirigakure.

After the final discussion, Yusuke would be in charge of the northern front, dealing with Kumogakure’s attack.

Jiraiya would be the commander of the eastern front, dealing with the Kirigakure ninjas from the sea.
