Naruto: Zanka No Tachi

Chapter 91: NZNT: Chapter 91

”No, that slash didn’t feel like the real him!” After striking Dodai, Izumi’s expression changed, and she felt a sense of foreboding.

The Dodai that had been cut in two suddenly turned into a yellow, viscous substance. It quickly wrapped around Izumi like tentacles. It was clearly just a Lava Release clone that Dodai had created while using the ”Protective Membrane Wall” to block Izumi’s vision.

”Lava Release: Protective Membrane Cage!”

At this time, Dodai’s real body also appeared behind the Lava Release clone. He spat out a large amount of yellow, viscous substance again, enveloping a large area in front of him, including Izumi.

Soon, the yellow, viscous substance solidified, eventually forming a square, airtight cube. Izumi, who had been entangled by Dodai’s Lava Release clone, hadn’t been able to escape in time and was trapped inside.

The ”Protective Membrane Cage” was a very powerful jutsu for controlling enemies. The yellow, viscous substance would completely seal the enemy in a fluid form.

Therefore, once the substance solidified, the enemy trapped inside would not only lose the ability to breathe, but their hands, feet, and other body parts would also be unable to move. It would be impossible for them to form hand seals or use weapons to break out of the cage.

After trapping Izumi, Dodai used a Body Flicker Technique to get to the side of the square ”Protective Membrane Cage” and pressed his hand against it.

A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he raised the katana in his other hand.

”Little girl, I’m sorry. But this is war!”

Dodai had also experienced several wars and wouldn’t show mercy to a young girl in the midst of battle.

Although he felt that he might be able to capture her alive, ninja techniques were incredibly diverse and often unpredictable. To avoid any unforeseen circumstances, he decided to kill her first.

A circular passage about three centimeters in diameter appeared where his hand was pressing against the ”Protective Membrane Cage.” Dodai quickly thrust the katana in his other hand through the circular passage!

However, the feeling of piercing flesh and the blood that should have flowed out of the passage didn’t appear. Dodai immediately realized that the little girl had somehow escaped the ”Protective Membrane Cage.”

”Impossible! In that situation, where she was entangled by the Lava Release clone, no one should be able to use the Body Replacement Technique to escape.” Dodai was shocked and immediately began to guard against Izumi’s sneak attack.

Suddenly, he felt a surge of killing intent behind him. Relying on his years of experience, Dodai instinctively crouched down and rolled to the side, successfully dodging the two consecutive slashes from Izumi behind him.

Without time to think about why she had been able to escape his ”Protective Membrane Cage,” Dodai, still shaken, felt that he was being targeted by the enemy again.

Dodai immediately used an Earth Release Technique to burrow underground, temporarily gaining a moment of respite.

Seeing Dodai go underground, Izumi, to prevent him from launching a surprise attack from underground, jumped onto the branch of a nearby tree.

At this time, Dodai, underground, used a special jutsu to observe Izumi’s movements through the earth. Soon, he noticed the cherry blossom-like patterns on the pupils of her eyes.

”This isn’t a normal Sharingan. Could it be the legendary Mangekyō Sharingan that Uchiha Madara awakened?” Dodai thought in surprise.

Dodai, as Kumogakure’s strategist, was not only knowledgeable but had also studied the information of many ninjas.

Although he hadn’t seen a ninja with the Mangekyō Sharingan with his own eyes, he had seen some information about it.

Izumi’s ability to escape Dodai’s ”Protective Membrane Cage” was another ability of her ”Kōdo Shunshin.”

”Kōdo Shunshin” allowed Izumi to teleport to any location she could imagine. However, the amount of chakra consumed by this ability was affected by the teleportation distance.

The farther the teleportation distance, the more chakra it consumed. ”Kōdo Shunshin” could only be used as a combat skill, not as a long-distance teleportation ability.

With ”Kōdo Shunshin,” an ability that surpassed the Body Flicker Technique, Izumi’s sword was unpredictable. In terms of short-distance movement speed, Izumi had surpassed Yellow Flash and Shunshin Shisui.

”She escaped the ’Protective Membrane Cage’ and then pursued me relentlessly, making it impossible for me to dodge. It must be some kind of ability from those eyes!”

Guessing that Izumi’s eyes were the Mangekyō Sharingan, Dodai searched his mind for information he had learned about the Mangekyō Sharingan and considered how to deal with her unpredictable movements.

On the other side, Itachi had also slowly lured Yugito Nii to the edge of the battlefield.

”Fire Release”

”Rat Tail Ball.”

Itachi launched dozens of kunai wrapped in flames, which were instantly scattered by Yugito Nii’s ”Rat Tail Ball,” which was also a shotgun-like flame technique.

”You seem to be trying to lure me to the edge of the battlefield, but that’s actually what I’m thinking too. This way, I can also use the power of the tailed beast to deal with you.” Yugito Nii said coldly.

This boy hadn’t shown enough power to kill her yet, but he was very cunning. He could always use clever tricks to deflect her attacks. It would be difficult for her to defeat him with her normal abilities.

Yugito Nii had been worried that transforming into the tailed beast would easily injure her teammates. But she hadn’t expected him to lure her to the edge of the battlefield. She naturally decided to play along.

At this time, Itachi was standing on a huge rock, looking down at Yugito Nii in front of him with calm eyes.

The patterns in his pupils suddenly changed from three tomoe to a shape resembling a dart. Itachi said calmly, ”The so-called power you speak of is meaningless before these eyes.”

Seeing the change in Itachi’s eyes, Yugito Nii was also shocked.

”What is this? Is he going to use the Sharingan’s genjutsu?”

Although she noticed that Itachi’s Sharingan seemed different, Yugito Nii didn’t realize that danger was imminent.

In her understanding, as a jinchūriki, she was completely immune to genjutsu. Even the Uchiha clan, who were known for their use of dojutsu-based genjutsu, were no exception.

”Tsukuyomi.”

As soon as Itachi finished speaking, Yugito Nii saw the scene in front of her spinning, gradually transforming into a world of red and black.

She herself was fixed to a cross, unable to move. Behind her was a huge, demonic cat, also fixed by several large shackles. This demonic cat was naturally the Two-Tails in her body.

It was clear that this genjutsu was not only controlling her but also controlling the Two-Tails demonic cat that could break her out of the genjutsu!
