Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Also, Master.”

The voice outside continued.

”Recently, there have been unusual disturbances on the Australian continent. It seems that the Human Race on Earth has discovered the preset location of the Origin Extraction Device. I feel we should inform Lord Philip and request more reinforcements. After all, Master, you are not known as a Battle Zone Commander with powerful military strength.”

The intelligence system of the Demon Realm is no inferior to that of the Human Race, there’s no reason they can’t detect military movements.

Upon hearing his ”caretaker” express such a reasonable opinion, Lord Demon Spirit just caressed the Origin Extraction Device in his hand, pondered for a moment, and shook his head lightly.

”No need, it doesn’t have to be that troublesome...”

The prolonged voice reverberated in the great hall, with the echo engendering a somewhat hazy feel to Lord Demon Spirit’s voice.

”Anyway, I never really intended to want any Origin Energy. Compared to Origin Energy, that thing is the real treasure, isn’t it...”

Within the fluctuating echoes, Lord Demon Spirit slowly stood up, then fully released his soul perception ability, allowing the vast soul energy to instantly envelop the valley.

Outside, the Boundary Cracking Device stood on a vacant land, with specks of strange energy floating above it. The energy connected to the void, linking to another Boundary Cracking Device somewhere else on Earth. Outside the Boundary Cracking Device, numerous shadows of Demon Fiends were neatly arranged, the military bearing solemn—though Lord Demon Spirit was not known for powerful military strength, he was, after all, the Chief Commanding Officer of the Battle Zone Australia, and had at least a few soldiers capable of combat; more so, he did not care much for these Level 6 trash and how much role they could play.

Being the strongest soul-type powerful expert under the Demon Lord in the Demon Realm, being the disciple of the Demon Lord, and existing as an indescribable ”creature” for who knows how long, as the master of the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill, Lord Demon Spirit’s trump cards defy anyone’s imagination—even the first among the seven Commanders, Lord Philip, requires forming alliances to barely suppress Lord Demon Spirit alone.

”So, let’s begin now.”

With those words, Lord Demon Spirit gently released his right hand, the Origin Extraction Device in his right hand floated up under the control of soul power, drifting directly above the Boundary Cracking Device.

Then, the engines started to roar, the Boundary Cracking Device began to rotate, the Demon Realm’s Gate started to emit light, and the army started moving forward.

The busy scene put Lord Demon Spirit in a great mood, he glanced at the spatial rift slowly opening above the Boundary Cracking Device, and the Origin Extraction Device gradually elongating and enlarging above it, then snapped his fingers lightly.

Thus, the war began.

...

At this time, Wen Yu was staying in the Soul Experiment Lab, continuing to complete unfinished experiments. The Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill could already create C-Class skills out of thin air, proving the research work was quite smooth.

It had been three days since Tang Haofei’s visit, during which Wen Yu monitored closely. Tang Haofei didn’t mind this minor issue, and indeed, as he claimed, he was in Africa for vacation.

In those three days, Tang Haofei either played creation games in his guest room or roamed around the African continent with a large group of women. Overall, his behavior was decent, and Wen Yu didn’t feel like closely following Tang Haofei, merely delegating the task of supervising Tang Haofei to the Mountain Kui.

In his hand, the Creation Energy shone brightly, Wen Yu used it to generate rune after rune out of thin air, forming dots and lines of various sizes, which became the basic units for patching skills together.

At this moment, a sudden spiritual fluctuation sounded in Wen Yu’s mind, causing his hands to tremble as he saw the skill creation fail, letting out a sigh, Wen Yu then connected the spiritual link.

”Master, I’m Number 1, Zero wishes to speak with you.”

”Understood.”

After a brief response, Wen Yu immediately calmed his mind, channelled his soul energy into Number 1’s body, and upon regaining sight, was greeted by Zero’s hideous face.

”This is Wen Yu, any latest intelligence?”

Wen Yu already held no good feelings for Zero, during this time, Little White continuously provided intelligence about the various rumors and forces throughout the Demon Realm, piecing things together almost completely, yet Zero lacked any undercover self-awareness, never proactively contacting Wen Yu, acting like he was dead.

If it weren’t for Zero still making no movements, Wen Yu might have already detonated the ban, letting Zero self-destruct to settle it!

”Master, Lord Demon Spirit has initiated the Origin Extraction Device, action is about to begin.”

Such an important, yet utterly useless piece of information—Little White probably knows, the military may know too; at most, slower, but the time difference won’t be more than five minutes.

”So, that’s all?”

Zero’s heart sank, sensing a restriction within him begin to fluctuate, and promptly wore a smile, complimenting Wen Yu: ”Of course that’s not all, Master please look.”

After saying this, Zero immediately placed a paper item before Number 1. Through Number 1’s eyes, Wen Yu clearly saw several large characters on the paper—Battle Zone Africa Action Plan.

”I compiled this, it contains detailed military deployment and arrangement for the second attack in Battle Zone Africa. Master, you know, I’ve been appointed by Lord Legas as Chief Commanding Officer of Battle Zone Africa, these were all formulated by me, I humbly seek your review for any oversights.”

Sounds quite flattering...

Having glanced briefly at the intelligence on the paper, Wen Yu casually tucked the paper back into Zero’s arms.

”So, what’s the expected loss target?”

”As long as there’s an established army on the African continent and the battle zone remains numbered, Lord Legas won’t blame me.”

The revelation from Zero was brutally clear—signifying that the demon tribe army heading to Africa already had one foot in hell.

”So, your request...”

It stands that no one acts without profit, Zero actively contacts himself, presumably to...

”I would like Master to help me, aid me in securing some achievements, at least don’t let me lose too badly. You see, Master, if my status rises, wouldn’t it also be advantageous to you?”

The reasoning is indeed sound, yet witnessing Zero’s ingratiating stance, Wen Yu’s anger surged.

Dragging his feet while working, but willingly opening that big mouth when asking for benefits, this shameless mongrel!

Quickly weighing the pros and cons in mind, after a moment, Wen Yu nodded: ”Discuss this matter with Mountain Kui. I will be going to Australia; I’ll leave the oversight here to Mountain Kui. For the specific battles, and how you act, figure it out yourselves.”

Nonetheless, Wen Yu could not disregard the possibility of Zero’s betrayal; considering the worst-case scenario, Wen Yu found that even if Zero betrayed, the outcome wouldn’t be too bad, thus deciding to let Mountain Kui handle this, and having worked out some trivial details with Zero, Wen Yu ended the spiritual link.

Soon after, Little White initiated another spiritual connection, and outside the Soul Experiment Lab, Tang Haofei’s footsteps approached from afar.

”Master, the Origin Extraction Device has started. The second military action in Battle Zone Africa is about to commence, currently, Battle Zone Africa is gathering personnel, and a full-scale attack will be launched in three days.”

”Wen Yu, the military has sent word that there’s movement on the Australian continent. I’m planning to return to Eternal Sky City to organize manpower, would you like to come?”
