Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The will separated from the corpse puppet body and reattached to the clone created by the corpse puppet.

At this moment, the shared vision between Wen Yu and the corpse puppet was interrupted, replaced by the small flesh ball on the table — it should be called the external eyeball.

”Is this also a new method?”

Wen Yu asked with a smile while observing the current state of the corpse puppet.

The three-meter tall body stood on the ground, the features on the bald head were clear yet had a distinct charm — the appearance of the corpse puppet had undergone a long period of growth and transformation, becoming vastly different from Wen Yu, yet from a human aesthetic perspective, it was indeed somewhat handsome.

However, with a height of over three meters, pale hairless skin, and two pure white bone wings extending from its back, no one would associate this figure with the term ”human.”

Wen Yu glanced between the corpse puppet’s legs — a bare expanse...

The corpse puppet, made of flesh and blood, although resembling a mammal, had no gender differentiation — in reality, soul puppets also do not require such useless things like gender.

The corpse puppet gently nodded and chuckled at the small flesh ball beside it, ”Yes, Master, just like the concealment of spiritual fluctuations earlier, these are all new methods...”

”Actually, it’s not exactly a new method. It’s just like individual reproduction, recreating a similar entity. It only has the function of vision, but I don’t really like this method... Master, don’t you think I should be unique?”

The smile on the corpse puppet’s face seemed a little dazzling in Wen Yu’s eyes. Although the smile didn’t seem forced, to Wen Yu, this smile always evoked the negative connotation of ”seems to smile without smiling...”

Wen Yu paused for a moment but eventually replied, ”Yes, you should be unique...”

Corpse puppet...

Since its inception, it was completely different from the likes of Mountain Kui and Cloud Puppet!

Unlike Mountain Kui and Cloud Puppet, who prefer to proactively expand their group sizes to bring Wen Yu large armies, the corpse puppet is extremely averse to creating similar entities and instead prefers to use collected creation energy on itself.

Devouring flesh, then mixing in creation energy, continually strengthening its own power...

Now, the power of the corpse puppet was even greater than the Mountain Kui body that served as Wen Yu’s base — in conversion, its physical fitness was approximately two thousand points, definitely a Level 6 Breakthrough Achiever!

”By the way, Master, do you have any tasks for me this time?”

”No, I just wanted to see how you’re doing.”

”The task is already complete. I didn’t let any from the hunt list you gave me escape...”

Beforehand, Wen Yu had also given the corpse puppet a hunt list containing all the Level 6 Limit Breakthrough Level demon fiends, with physical fitness ranging between five thousand to twenty thousand. Initially, Wen Yu thought the corpse puppet would fall into a fierce battle, but now it seems...

Thinking of this, Wen Yu looked at the corpse on the ground.

It was the body of a Level 1 Ancient Demon with physical fitness close to twenty thousand; however, judging from its manner of death — direct confrontation, killed in one blow... not even furniture or walls were damaged!

Imagining the scene, where the corpse puppet swaggered into the room and punched out the ancient demon’s heart — a crushing battle.

”How did you do that? His strength should not have been inferior to yours.”

”His strength, far inferior to mine, you know, Master, although I don’t have skills, I can freely manipulate bones, flesh, and even body fluids and hormones within. Used well, these are not inferior to high-level skills, and I can freely change my appearance, indeed, in this regard, my abilities are somewhat similar to those of Faceless Lord...”

The corpse puppet provided Wen Yu with a plausible explanation.

Watching the corpse puppet chewing on the ancient demon’s heart, Wen Yu slowly said, ”Since the task is complete, you can act freely. Be careful. Oh, didn’t I give you a space ring? Clean up the corpses of demon beasts and creation energy, bring back what you can’t finish eating, and hand over part of the creation energy to me.”

”Yes, Master.”

”Also, once the war is over, come back to me, I need to give you a comprehensive body examination.”

”Yes, Master.”

Ending the communication with the corpse puppet, Wen Yu gently rubbed his temples.

Wen Yu couldn’t understand why the state of the corpse puppet was different from Mountain Kui and Cloud Puppet, perhaps the fusion of flesh and soul energy resulted in some unknown change, be it good or bad, even Wen Yu wasn’t sure.

It seems that these doubts can only be resolved after conducting an examination on the corpse puppet.

...

The atmosphere on the road was somewhat heavy.

Wen Yu was contemplating the general arrangement of the entire battle situation, while Akad was worried that Wen Yu would backtrack on his words, and Zero was even worse off.

Wen Yu’s restrictions would never be simple, but that’s a minor concern. The larger problem lies in returning to the Demon Realm — wanting to deceive a Level 11 powerful expert with restrictions and ill intentions isn’t an easy task.

Thus, preoccupied with their thoughts, Wen Yu took Akad and Zero back to the Soul Experiment Lab.

”Welcome back, Master. Your loyal Mountain Kui is devoted to serving you.”

The Mountain Kui’s main body had a certain liveliness compared to its clones, and given that Mountain Kui was Wen Yu’s mobile base, their relationship was naturally close.

Wen Yu waved his hand, signaling Mountain Kui to open the door.

Along with a rumbling sound, the towering mountain before the three swiftly opened a deep cave. Wen Yu led the way inside.

...

As Wen Yu led Akad and Zero into the cave, the true face of the Soul Experiment Lab was unveiled before Akad and Zero.

The walls of the deep cave were lined with self-illuminating trinkets, illuminating the cave perfectly. The air inside was fresh, ventilation was good, and combined with the Mountain Kui’s powerful force and massive form, not to mention Mountain Kui naturally possessing a certain level of mobility as a mobile base, it was indeed superior to any so-called gathering place.

In fact, Wen Yu had already set his mind on vigorously cultivating Mountain Kui until it grew into a giant city capable of autonomous movement — similar to Yanjing’s Xuanwu War God but without requiring human manipulation or unnecessary energy consumption.

Such an eco-friendly and extremely powerful combat-capable mobile base greatly appealed to Wen Yu.

Until the trio reached the end of the passage.

At the end, a spacious area came into view, and the crookedly written five characters of Soul Experiment Lab on the opposite wall seemed like mysterious runes in Akad and Zero’s eyes, full of wildness and fierceness...

They didn’t recognize the Chinese characters, and Wen Yu could only write in Chinese...

Apart from that, there were only some bottles, jars, tables, chairs, and stools — the space within Mountain Kui’s inner palace wasn’t small. However, usually, only Wen Yu lived here, and he didn’t require any luxurious decorations; nor did Wen Yu possess any life skills, so while the Mountain Kui’s appearance from the outside seemed mighty and majestic, the core inside — the Soul Experiment Lab, seemed rather plain.

”Mountain Kui, bring some drinks and snacks to entertain these two friends.”

”Yes, Master.”

Inside the Soul Experiment Lab, two half-height earth elements emerged from the ground and began to move chairs and put drinks and snacks on the table while inviting Akad and Zero to sit.

Akad, naturally without fear, sat down directly as a guest, while Zero remained apprehensive.

Seeing this, Wen Yu didn’t bother warmly entertaining his captives and simply said to the two of them: ”Stay here and wait for a while. Once the battle situation stabilizes, I’ll handle your issues one by one.”

”Alright.”

”Understood.”

Upon hearing their replies, Wen Yu no longer paid attention to Akad (the debt collector) and Zero (the captive), turned around, and entered the back room of the Soul Experiment Lab, sending a spiritual fluctuation to Mountain Kui.

”Find me some Level 1 Ancient Demons on the battlefield, the lower the strength the better. Preferably alive, but a complete corpse will do.”

”Yes, Master.”
