Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Inside the Dimensional Maze.

Wen Yu slowly withdrew his right hand from the top of Akad’s head, sensing the consumption of Creation Energy, gritting his teeth a little at the thought of the expenditure.

Forcibly breaking a soul contract consumed a considerable amount of Creation Energy, but fortunately, Wen Yu could still handle it after the great battle.

The Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill usurps the authority of deities, exploring the essence of souls, life, and the very essence of all things, then creates everything!

The skill description is domineering yet obscure, but after extensive research, Wen Yu preferred a simpler explanation for the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill: Anything related to souls, I’ll take care of it all! Anything not related to souls, I can still handle most of it!

Creation Energy, tracing back to its origins, is virtually omnipotent! After several months of research, Wen Yu had only tapped into a small portion of this ability’s potential.

As for Contract Fortune, it’s a mysterious power that connects the souls of two beings. Perhaps Wen Yu couldn’t create contracts, but using the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill to forcibly break them was very easy.

Destruction is always easier than creation.

Akad, who was on the ground, slowly opened his eyes. Sensing the contract power that had bound him within his body had completely dissipated, he immediately stood up and bowed deeply to Wen Yu with utmost respect.

”I cannot thank you enough for giving me a new life!”

The formal words coming from a foreigner’s mouth always struck Wen Yu as somewhat peculiar.

He waved his hand lightly, indicating that this was merely a trivial matter. Then, Wen Yu slowly walked to another spot and gradually extended his right hand.

A faint azure airflow gradually appeared in the air. Then, the airflow surged and obediently rested in the palm of Wen Yu’s hand.

Sensing the aura that still belonged to Koray, Wen Yu used Creation Energy to solidify the aura into a small transparent object resembling a glass bead and then tossed it to the Cyclops.

”Take this to find the Faceless. Then, bring back Koray’s body with the Faceless.”

”Woof woof.”

”Understood, boss.”

Cyclops picked up the bead from Wen Yu’s hand, about to turn and leave, but suddenly seemed to remember something, looking at Wen Yu with puzzlement.

”What’s wrong now?”

”Well, did we just anger Ye Nan?”

Thinking of the brutal way the soul contract was broken, Wen Yu nodded: ”I seemed to almost kill him, so yes, probably pissed him off.”

Upon hearing Wen Yu’s confirmation, Cyclops jumped excitedly, his face brimming with eagerness: ”Angering him is good, very good. That guy really pisses me off. Boss, make a deal—if he comes back, let me finish him off!”

”That depends on your strength... and Ye Nan’s performance. But if that guy can return from the Demon Realm, it’d be like his ancestors’ graves are smoking.”

Wen Yu sighed, saying things Cyclops didn’t quite understand without explaining further, just waving him off to get the job done.

Then, Wen Yu turned back, looking towards where the Boundary Cracking Device once stood.

...

Ye Nan’s ”handling” of Zhang Shaojie was indeed rough. If there was only Ye Nan alone, Wen Yu might have believed it to be an oversight or a slip...

But Bai was right next to Ye Nan. Such a low-level oversight could not have happened at this time and place.

So, in Wen Yu’s view, the answer was only one—Bai was conveying a message, needing six or more contract slots from Ye Nan, but Akad still had other roles for Bai, so Zhang Shaojie could die, but Akad could not.

In addition, given Bai’s knowledge and recent interactions, the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill might already be no secret to Bai. Bai knew Wen Yu could break the soul contract, and thus intentionally left a flaw for Wen Yu to resolve Akad’s contract issue.

Offending Ye Nan, but in return gaining Akad’s gratitude and possibly a favor from Bai, was not a loss from a profit standpoint.

Of course, all was mere speculation by Wen Yu, whether it reflected Bai’s true intentions or whether Bai would remember the favor, or even Ye Nan’s current animosity towards him, Wen Yu was clueless. But this did not deter Wen Yu from deciding to act—the interests involved were minor, but the true driving force behind Wen Yu’s decision was simply one basic reason.

Displeasure...

As a fellow contract holder, Wen Yu found Ye Nan’s treatment of Zhang Shaojie deeply displeasing!

To Wen Yu, a soul pet was akin to an Avenger to Ye Nan—existences similar, the only truly reliable partners whom he could entrust his life. It was disdainful, even if he wasn’t exactly a good person, to target a partner who entrusted everything to him!

Soul pets may be weak, but they can become strong. However, such mutual reliance and attachment can’t be simply measured by the strength of power.

If I don’t like you, I’ll mess with you—not for anything else, but just to ease some discontent!

...

Having settled the matter, Wen Yu then stepped towards the ”reborn” Akad, watching Akad lively rubbing his head, excitement in his demeanor, and Wen Yu smiled at the corners of his mouth.

The formidable and terrifying nature of the River of Death, Wen Yu had become all too familiar with during this period of collaboration. Purely in terms of combat ability, this skill far surpassed the Netherworld. At this moment, with Akad free from contract constraints, as soon as Wen Yu purged the toxins in Akad’s body, Akad would undoubtedly shine brightly in the world again.

”So, where do you plan to go?”

”Huh?”

Startled by Wen Yu’s out-of-the-blue question, Akad was momentarily at a loss, then hurried to respond: ”Wherever you go, I’ll go.”

”Ah!”

Wen Yu waved him off again, indicating he wouldn’t take followers without contract control, then jokingly said: ”Don’t be sly. You want to hang around me to settle scores, but rest assured, I’ll definitely purge the toxin from your body as promised. I mean, after I resolve your issues, where do you want to go?”

A moment of awkward smiling crossed Akad’s face—considering Wen Yu’s ability to forcibly break the contract, it seemed unlikely he’d deceive him on small matters like the toxin.

Then, with a thoughtful expression, Akad pondered for a moment before slightly shaking his head: ”Maybe go back to London, not sure how it’s been there.”

Having wandered for who knows how long, coupled with this ”brutal” life experience, even a reckless individual like Akad couldn’t help but feel a heartfelt longing for home.

Through great storms and waves, only a serene life proved to be true—and for someone like Akad, who possessed two Level 6 Limit Breakthrough Level blood slaves, he surely deserved a taste of peaceful life...

”However, no matter where you summon me to, I’ll come to you, it’s my promise.”

These words, Akad said with utmost seriousness!

Seeing the seriousness on Akad’s face, Wen Yu smiled and shook his head, not continuing the discussion, but instead glanced around the space, softly remarking after a moment, ”Let’s go, my soul pet hasn’t finished yet, your problem needs a couple more days, now, accompany me on a walk through this Dimensional Maze.”
