Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”Bang!”

”Bang!”

”Bang!”

Akad’s body was like a tattered rag tossed on the ground, relentlessly trampled by the Furious Demon named Siegle.

Siegle wielded the giant axe, sweeping away any approaching blood slaves—the disparity in quality and quantity was so vast.

Akad couldn’t defend against Siegle’s descent from the sky, nor could he escape Siegle’s bull-like hooves. In such a situation, apart from constantly depleting his own ”life,” Akad could do nothing at all.

Watching the thick hooves stomp on him again and again, Akad’s frustration was beyond measure — if his body were unharmed, with a physique at Peak Level 6, he wouldn’t be lying under a brawny man’s feet, teetering between life and death like a pile of garbage...

”Wen Yu... Boss... save me...”

Just a single sentence, and Akad had already died nearly a hundred times, and this rate was still escalating.

”Hold on a bit longer, I’m searching for the target.”

”The target, the target is right on me!”

Wen Yu didn’t bother explaining Siegle’s troublesome nature to Akad—this guy, blessed by the battalion, was virtually undying and was himself a Limit Breakthrough Level Demon Tribe. Overall, his strength was only slightly weaker than Wen Yu’s without deploying the Soul Battlefield.

Now, if alarming Siegle makes him run, Wen Yu won’t be able to keep him...

Thinking of this, Wen Yu squinted, scanning in all directions.

Until, in the far distance, a large troop stood with upright postures and deep-ridden auras, not joining the battle, caught Wen Yu’s eye.

Perceiving the strength of this army, Wen Yu’s gaze narrowed.

”Found it...”

...

Glacial cold light passed through, like a frigid crescent moon blossoming out of nowhere.

Amid the giant axe’s swings, icy moons appeared out of the void, then crazily swept in all directions within the enemy army’s center.

At this moment, Siegle’s heart remained unmoved—from the moment he struck, the professionist named Akad beneath his feet had no chance of escape.

Siegle was so confident, he had always been so confident, and his strength was ample to uphold that confidence!

No, not just his own strength, but also the nameless heroes standing behind him, that group of ”elite” super warriors alongside him.

Amid swinging the giant axe, frigid light transformed into a spherical enclosure completely surrounding Siegle’s figure, while axe beams fired forth, simultaneously Siegle’s footsteps never ceased, trampling the ground at a rate of hundreds per second, bringing unimaginable pain and death to Akad time and time again.

Until a fearful spiritual fluctuation echoed in his mind from squad members.

”Boss... Run fast...”

Siegle’s hands holding the giant axe paused.

Then, in the distance, black light exploded.

Roaring darkness energy swiftly engulfed a segment outside the Demon Tribe’s encirclement, black energy waves vented and expanded everywhere, swiftly ascending a massive black mushroom cloud in that spot, the blast’s shockwave spreading afar, blowing away an unknown number of Demon Fiends.

This scene made Siegle’s eyes tear with rage!

Because there, was precisely where his Elite Berserk Demon Corps was located!

...

”Siegle, leader of the Elite Berserk Demon Corps, which is Legas’s foremost elite battalion, comprising one Level 6 battalion, one Level 7 battalion, and one Level 8 battalion. The invading force on Earth this time is the Level 6 battalion.”

”This battalion, enhanced by special items, allows every Furious Demon within it to bestow immense physical stat boosts and numerous skills to a single target. Simultaneously, the Furious Demon known as the battalion leader possesses a certain degree of an undying body, specifically expressed as being able to choose to consume the lives of battalion members to replace his own death when the leader dies.”

”The full contingent number for the Elite Berserk Demon Corps stationed at Battle Zone Africa is 100,000, currently with 55,737 members remaining.”

”Weakness of Elite Berserk Demon Corps: The entire battalion operates as a unit; if the battalion leader wishes to receive battalion enhancements, he must not be too far from the members.”

”Counter strategy: It is recommended to first kill ordinary members of the battalion, weakening Siegle’s strength and rebirth count.”

Recalling the intelligence reported by Little White in his mind, and observing the front where members of the Elite Berserk Demon Corps were instantly eroded away, Wen Yu remained expressionless, but his mind continued to focus on the rate of points increase.

From the number of points earned, Wen Yu could roughly estimate how many Furious Demons he had harvested.

The answer is... fewer than thirty thousand!

”Indeed, there’s another location remaining, isn’t there...”

This Siegle, cautious to the end, had split his entire Elite Berserk Demon Corps into two parts, dispersed in different places, to prevent being taken out in one sweep by others.

Siegle’s approach wasn’t wrong, but he was mistaken in facing an entity like Wen Yu who completely overwhelmed him.

Eyes scanning the battlefield’s center, where Siegle had already sensed Wen Yu’s presence, Siegle was now staring wide-eyed, intently watching Wen Yu who floated mid-air.

Presently, in Wen Yu’s view, Siegle’s eyes visibly reddened with blood, the surprise attack on the Elite Berserk Demon Corps by Wen Yu brought unbearable pain to Siegle!

”Awo!!”

A roar reminiscent of an injured beast escaped Siegle’s mouth, the next moment, Siegle swung the battle axe, instantly cleared a path outward, then turned and ran!

The situation was unmistakably obvious, this was a trap—having fought Wen Yu in full contingent status, Siegle was acutely aware of the catastrophic destruction caused by Sequence Number 2 who set traps early without any reservations or shame!

Watching Siegle turning to escape, Wen Yu’s mouth slowly curled into a smirk, letting out a soft chuckle.

”Now you want to run? It’s about time we settle our accounts.”

The next second, Wen Yu’s spiritual fluctuations suddenly spread all around, simultaneously, the Almighty Demon Vine at his right hand unraveled without restraint, sweeping up one Demon Fiend after another, afterward, Wen Yu’s body leaped high into the air, the Almighty Demon Vine beneath him expanding ceaselessly like octopus tentacles, greedily absorbing the Demon Fiends on the battlefield as it charged crazily toward Siegle alongside Wen Yu.

Over two months of planning and layout, enduring and biding till now, there was no longer a need for concealment at this moment.

...

The distant blasting dark energy fluctuations attracted the attention of Zero, who was stationed at the outermost position.

Looking at Wen Yu, who suddenly appeared suspended in mid-air, Zero deliberately sighed aloud, but in his heart, an indescribable feeling arose.

Everything was just like he imagined, Akad indeed was a target openly displayed by Sequence Number 2.

As for Sequence Number 2’s true intention—was it perhaps to reclaim the dispute at New Hope Assembly Site? Or simply to hunt Demon Fiends, increasing his own physique and Soul Strength?

Who knows...

But one thing is clear, staying here is no longer viable.

”Master... this...”

The adjutant beside him—left behind to assist (monitor) him—was unable to react to the abrupt transformation, first staring dumbly at Sequence Number 2 swirling mid-air, then let out a scream like being assaulted, quickly turning to Zero, seeking his opinion.

Zero disdainfully curled his lips.

”What are you waiting for? Retreat, retreat as much as you can, have the army run in all directions, Sequence Number 2 is only one person, no way he can...”

Before the words were finished, Zero’s pupils suddenly shrank to pinpoints.
