Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Seeing the Faceless with strength enough to dominate the entire battlefield, Wen Yu squinted his eyes and nodded in satisfaction.

Over the past two months, Wen Yu not only created a massive puppet battalion but also used a vast amount of Creation Energy to complete one of his visions for the Soul Abiogenetic Creation Skill—attaching souls to the Faceless and the Almighty Demon Vine.

In consideration of the overall tactical arrangement, Wen Yu needed a large army. The Creation Energy left for the Faceless and the Almighty Demon Vine wasn’t much. It was just a few days ago that Wen Yu had to choose between the two and picked the Faceless as the lucky one.

After consuming an astronomical amount of Creation Energy, the Faceless successfully achieved a new life as a third-type soul creation. Wen Yu then selected and embedded some memories and experiences into the Faceless, jointly creating the new Faceless!

Human Creations (F-Class, Passive Skill): Essentially produced by artificial means. Although they exhibit life characteristics, they lack a soul and possess only basic instincts. This life form can evolve by devouring the corpses of mutant creatures, but cannot acquire skills post-evolution. Skills can be acquired through special channels! (Skills cannot be forgotten)

The original first skill of the Faceless disappeared upon rebirth. The new Faceless had a new soul and was integrated into the professionist system, gaining new skills with each level-up.

However, the Faceless was already Level 6, so new skills were not a current consideration for Wen Yu—besides, given the Perfect Duplication on hand, Wen Yu believed that the Faceless had little need for skills.

All he needed was the blood of powerful experts.

Moreover, the new Faceless’s potential might not be very high. Even with a promotion, significant new skills might be rare.

...

The new Faceless still appeared like a dough ball but now had autonomous consciousness. Typically, it could manipulate the dough-shaped body to perform simple hopping actions.

The image of a puffy dough ball shaking constantly and even greeting you was filled with humor even thinking about it.

But Wen Yu’s plan was unfolding, and there was no time to spend more with the newly awakened Faceless. He had to leave it with Victor, assigning Victor, Luo Luo, and the Faceless to jointly attack the Central Operations Command Center...

Poor Victor became Wen Yu’s free nanny once again.

However, to speak truthfully, combined with these three soul pets, the overall strength rivaled Wen Yu himself, so he was quite assured about this battlefield.

The fact matched his expectations.

Inside the Central Operations Command Center, the Faceless displayed immense power, Luo Luo manipulated the ant swarm and Cloud Puppet Battalion in a reckless slaughter of demon fiends; everything progressed smoothly as planned.

It was foreseeable that in no time at all, New Hope Assembly Place would once again fall back into Wen Yu’s hands.

However, while that was the expectation, in reality, something beyond the plans happened.

”Boss, I couldn’t find Koray…”

”Oh?”

”From the list you gave me, most of the demon fiends were found, but Koray was missing.”

Beforehand, Wen Yu gave Victor a list of strong individuals inside the Central Operations Command Center, including all the Limit Breakthrough Level demon fiends stationed there, among which Koray was naturally included.

But Koray wasn’t inside the Central Operations Command Center now.

Thoughts surged in Wen Yu’s mind, and the next second, he chuckled lightly.

”If we can’t find him, let it be. I think I might know where Koray is now.”

”Hurry up and clear out the demon fiends here, then head west, clean out every Demon Race Stronghold visible in range!”

After ending the spiritual connection with Victor, Wen Yu immediately connected with Cyclops’ spiritual fluctuations.

”The boss of the Battle Zone Africa might be in the East African Rift Valley, be cautious on your end.”

”Got it, Boss.”

On the other end, Cyclops patted his chest with a bang.

”If you can’t fight, at least I can run…”

”That’s all you’ve got?”

Cyclops’ reply left Wen Yu quite helpless.

”Besides, there’s a big fool here. If I can’t fight, he sure can!”

Hearing this, Wen Yu smiled: ”Keep an eye on that place. No need to exert too much. The key is to watch that Bai guy; I just have a feeling he’s quite troublesome.”

”Understood, Boss.”

...

The call ended, Cyclops energetically wiggled its tail, then turned to look at a young man leaning against a big tree, chewing on some grass and basking in the Sun.

Cyclops grinned widely and tiptoed sneakily toward Bai, spraying foul saliva in a fountain-like manner straight at Bai’s face.

”Big Boss Bai, when should we head out?”

Bai’s figure moved like a phantom, sidestepping Cyclops’ smelly attack, gazing at Cyclops with an ambiguous smile, and then squinted, posing a bland question.

”What did Wen Yu just tell you?”

”Boss said an Ancient Demon named Koray disappeared and might appear here. Don’t worry, Big Boss Bai, it’s just drizzles…”

Cyclops’ frivolous demeanor made Bai roll his eyes massively, then gestured to Ye Nan and Zhang Shaojie behind, immediately speaking.

”Are you ready? If you are, let’s get started.”

”What? Are you joking, Big Boss Bai? You want us to lead the charge?”

Cyclops sulked, squatting motionless on the ground.

Seeing this shameless rascally dog, Bai looked at his watch on his wrist, exhales a long breath.

”You move ahead, hold off reinforcements from three large Demon Tribe strongholds. I’ll take action inside the East African Rift Valley. A heads-up first, your troops handle the outside; entering the East African Rift Valley, I only allow you to follow behind us!”

Cyclops’ mind was clear to Bai, one dog, trying to play tricks, how could it compare with a cunning old monster who lived for who-knows-how-long?

Cyclops just wanted to tag along with the group to have a look, making sure to supervise their actions—nothing wrong with that, you want to see, then I’ll let you see.

Seeing Bai’s straightforward manner, Cyclops was embarrassed to use further petty tricks. Standing straight, its wild barking echoed from Cyclops’ mouth, triggering a large area instantly.

For a moment, countless mutant beasts roared in succession. The next second, a black dragon silhouette soared up, instantly crossing above the group’s heads toward the far Demon Race Stronghold.

Following behind were numerous flying mutant beasts zigging and zagging, closely following Star’s lead, while footsteps echo from all directions, accompanied by various howls.

In the distance, sirens blared as the base came under attack, followed by Dragon Flame descending from the skies, the Giant Dragon roaring, and endless beast hordes, led by nearly a dozen divine beast types, crashed into the Demon Race Base instantly.

This was Cyclops’ achievement, this was Cyclops’ command, this was Cyclops’ army.

Cyclops ruled externally, not merely using power to bully, at least the gathered mutant beast horde was quite useful.

Watching Star already charging into the base, Cyclops wagged its tail and looked to the side at Bai.

”Let’s go, Big Boss Bai, seems there’s some Glory Squad of the Ancient Demons below, you need to handle this personally…”
