Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

After settling down his subordinates, Little White followed the Ancient Demon and walked towards the outside.

This location was a pre-designated reverse teleportation assembly point set by Legas, not just for Demon Realm’s Gate 32; other gates also appear here across dimensions.

The crowd was chaotic, noisy, and even the roads were blocked. Fortunately, the Ancient Demon who came to greet everyone seemed to have a prominent status, quickly instructing his people to clear a path to the outside. Along the way, he picked up several former high-ranking members of the Africa Battle Zone, then led them to a temporary camp set up near the assembly point.

”Please wait a moment.”

Leading Little White and others to a room, the Ancient Demon spoke and then arranged for them to wait at the door. He turned around to possibly pick up someone else.

After the Ancient Demon left, they immediately started to chat noisily—mainly sharing information, discussing Lord Legas’s current thoughts and moods, and even the future of the Africa Battle Zone. Most of these people were temporarily promoted after the collapse of the battle situation, without significant connections, knowing little themselves.

But it’s apparent that from now on, if the Africa Battle Zone continues to exist, these people might be the future high-ranking officials of the Africa Battle Zone—much like upper-class gatherings before the apocalypse, it’s a good networking platform.

Little White naturally understood these things, and in just a few words, he had already struck up a lively conversation with the regimental leaders around him.

During this, the Ancient Demon guiding them brought in several groups of Demon Fiends, among which Little White spotted the figure of Zero in a black robe.

Aware that this was his master’s undercover agent number two, Little White did not show any mistakes on the surface, and with other Demon Fiends, respectfully went up to greet Zero—Zero’s status was not something up-and-comers like Little White could compare with...

...

After waiting for nearly an hour, when the Ancient Demon brought four more Demon Fiends, this time he did not leave again. Instead, he parted the crowd, stood in front of the door, and respectfully knocked on it.

”Knock, knock, knock...”

The sound of knocking echoed continuously, and upon seeing this scene, the surrounding Demon Fiends immediately fell silent, as if understanding something. After a while, a clear voice came from inside the room.

”Enter.”

Only then did the Ancient Demon push open the door, smiling, gesturing to the Demon Fiends behind him with a ”please enter” gesture.

”Please, Lord Legas has been waiting for you inside.”

Just outside the door, Little White and others didn’t sense any life aura. However, with the ability of a Level 11 powerful expert, it shouldn’t be hard to shield such perceptions.

Imagining whether anything was missed in the previous words, and watching the surrounding Demon Fiends enter the room one by one, Little White barely calmed his mind, entering flawlessly.

In sight was the figure of the Ancient Demon sitting high up.

...

”Sit wherever you like.”

Legas was sitting at the head of the meeting room, holding the latest intelligence reports, flipping through them page by page, displaying no emotions on his face.

The Demon Tribe who entered the room remained still for a while...

Legas raised his head, glanced at the crammed and trembling Demon Tribe at the doorway, frowned, and repeated.

”I told you to sit, so sit!”

The commanding tone was far more effective than before, and with the sound of chairs and tables moving, the seats in the meeting room were filled up in no time.

Seeing this, Legas put down the documents in his hand and slowly began to speak.

”As you can see, the Africa Battle Zone’s multi-million strong force got wiped out by Sequence Number 2. In other words, the Africa Battle Zone is gone...”

The calm tone conveyed the failure of the Africa Battle Zone — for someone of Legas’s status, this calmness meant more complex matters.

”You know more about the specifics than I do. To put it this way, the defeat of the Africa Battle Zone this time is not your fault, nor the fault of those who died. It’s no one’s fault, really, but rather some issues with the overall strategic direction here.”

The atmosphere in the meeting room immediately improved with Legas’s words.

For the Demon Fiends below, the most terrifying thing would be if Legas was unreasonable, venting his anger on everyone without reason. Now it seems Legas hadn’t lost his mind...

However, what Legas said next undoubtedly put everyone there on an emotional rollercoaster!

”The formation of the Africa Battle Zone cannot be dismantled. This concerns my status! So, we cannot lose yet!”

Legas’s voice became much more serious.

Facing the uncertain gazes of everyone present, Legas’s eyes were more determined than ever!

”The pre-set location for the Origin Extraction Device has been determined, it’s in the Australia Battle Zone handled by the Demon Spirit. This matter no longer concerns us!”

As Legas said this, he surveyed all the Demon Fiends below: ”When the Origin Extraction Device appears, Sequence Number 2 will certainly appear on the main battlefield in Australia; that will be our chance! As I said earlier, the establishment of the Africa Battle Zone must not be abolished. So, when the Origin Extraction Device appears, I will launch a full attack on the Africa Battle Zone once again!”

”Now, everyone listen to my orders. Keep your current positions and ranks unchanged, and do your utmost to expand the army and strengthen the warriors under your command. When the Origin Extraction Device appears, I will reopen the full teleportation channel to the Africa Battle Zone.”

Upon hearing this, the faces of the Demon Fiends present changed dramatically—they were well aware of Wen Yu’s strength and influence. Restarting the war was just a matter of words for Legas, but for these Demon Tribes, it was akin to a life-or-death disaster.

”My Lord.”

Zero, sitting next to Legas, spoke up: ”Judging from Sequence Number 2’s displayed strength, we need more and stronger top-tier combat power...”

”There won’t be any!”

Legas said with absolute certainty after hearing Zero’s words: ”There won’t be any more powerful experts. You are now the strongest Level 6 life form under my command, so from now on, you are the Chief Commanding Officer for Africa Battle Zone Level 6!”

The sudden promotion left Zero dizzy — as the backbone of the Africa Battle Zone, he couldn’t even defeat one of Wen Yu’s soul pets. How could he fight this battle?

It was apparent Legas didn’t want to reclaim the Africa Battle Zone, but rather wanted them to go to Africa to die!

However, this wasn’t Legas’s concern: ”The life forms under Level 6 under my command are to be managed by you. From now on, you’ll form the high command of the Africa Battle Zone. It’s up to you to organize things. But I only have one requirement...”

”I don’t care how this war turns out, but the name of the Africa Battle Zone must remain!”

After giving the final ultimatum to all the Demon Fiends present, Legas left directly, leaving everyone in the meeting room staring at each other.

”Lord Legas... Sigh... All for his face and status, pushing us into the fire pit...”

The complaints from those around him explained the basic content of this meeting well. However, if the Africa Battle Zone still existed, it was good. If the war restarted, it was good too...

Little White looked bitter, but inwardly he was elated — it was clear that Legas, having suffered consecutive setbacks, no longer cared about the Africa Battle Zone’s war situation. Now, he only cared about having a battle zone under his command. However, for Little White, an undercover agent, this opened up a lot of room for maneuver...

Moreover...

Thinking of this, Little White looked up at Zero, whose face was full of bitterness, and couldn’t help but chuckle lightly.

This guy, from the earlier conversation, didn’t seem to place himself in the ”undercover” role. However, with what Legas set up now, Zero was indeed in a dilemma, ready or not, he had no choice but to assume the undercover role...
