Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

In November, Africa was still as hot as a furnace—perhaps because the Soul Experiment Lab was located near the equator. At least, the first impression it gave Fran was heat.

Secondly, the stench...

The high temperatures fermented the corpses lying on this land, with the omnipresent stench of death and rotting demonic qi, painting a picture of the recent massive slaughter that had ended here.

Bacteria proliferated, and the plague spread. However, after enduring the ravages of the Third Generation Seed of Plague, the creatures that remained on the African Continent did not fear these invisible little critters, let alone the puppets of the Elemental Race.

”My lord, the subordinates of Lord Sequence Number 2 below have cleared the landing area for the plane.”

The voice of a Praetorian Guard rang in his ears, and Fran nodded slightly to indicate permission to land.

As an insignificant oscillation was felt, the hatch opened, and an even denser stench rushed into the cabin. Fran involuntarily wrinkled his nose before looking outside at the towering humanoid life form shining like a diamond.

”Hello, I’m Fran, here to see your... well, I suppose it’s your master.”

Fran was hesitant about how to refer to the relationship between the tall creature in front of him and Wen Yu, but by a stroke of luck, the term ”master” was quite fitting.

”The master has been expecting you for a long time.”

Mountain Kui, learning human etiquette, gave Fran a standard gentleman’s bow.

...

Under the surveillance of the Sky Eye System, Fran had long seen footage of the Mountain Kui tribe, but observing them up close still made him marvel at Wen Yu’s current power.

This type of elemental life form was not like what Fran had originally thought—similar to puppet mechanical tools requiring remote control—but rather truly independent individuals with personality and independent thinking. In Fran’s view, life inherently had no hierarchy, yet Wen Yu, with his own strength, had created a complete race in a short time, a feat comparable to God creating the world as stated in the Bible.

Wen Yu was strong. When Lin Haifeng first met Wen Yu, he was very strong, but Lin Haifeng had not expected that an individual could truly surpass the collective to such an extent. The hidden truth of the reborn under his outward appearance turned Lin Haifeng’s former ambitions to dust, forming a reality where two super strong reborn individuals determined everything.

Fran could not imagine it either, yet it was indeed the reality.

Although he didn’t know how strong Wen Yu was now, from what little he observed, Wen Yu should indeed have the capital to turn against anyone now...

And this was precisely what Fran feared the most—if the two towering mountains of the Human Race collided, the resulting consequences might be beyond description!

In his mind, he thought about the main task Lin Haifeng entrusted to him before leaving, until the barking of dogs was heard not far away.

”Hey, Old Man Fran, what goodies have you brought this time?”

The playful tone contained a certain familiar affection—when Wen Yu was in Yanjing, he did have some acquaintance with Fran. Correspondingly, Cyclops and other soul pets were also familiar with Fran, plus since leaving the Heavenly Palace, Fran was responsible for Wen Yu’s transactions with the military, so the soul pets had given Fran a friendly nickname: Santa Claus.

In the distance, a massive 20-meter tall beast walked leisurely on demon beast corpses that had rotted into a slurry, its dark purple plasma emitting an indescribable stench. At the moment, Cyclops looked as if it had just been fished out of a cesspit, unbearable to endure...

Seeing the big dog bouncing and trying to nuzzle up against him, Fran hurriedly waved at Cyclops: ”Got a task, talk next time.”

”Tch...”

Cyclops glanced at Fran with disdain, then flicked its tail and turned towards the next feeding spot. Seeing the faintly visible dark gray scale armor on Cyclops and the stout tail wrapped in bone structure, Fran’s eye twitched.

The ability of the Great Feast seemed to have played a significant role, and with the Almighty Demon Vine at Wen Yu’s disposal, he likely wouldn’t shortchange himself...

...

Upon closer inspection, Fran finally understood how many demon tribe members Wen Yu had killed on the African Continent!

The corpses piled up into mountains, stacked even higher than the Mountain Kui itself! Even now, the puppet battalion was still continuously transporting corpses, adding bricks and tiles to the corpse mountain.

At the base of the corpse mountain, two thick pipelines connected the corpse mountain and the distant great mountain. The pipes were a vibrant green and continuously wriggled. After observing for a moment, Fran immediately detected a familiar presence from the pipes—this was the Almighty Demon Vine.

Wen Yu certainly wouldn’t shortchange himself, Fran thought to himself.

In addition, the corpse mountain was covered in dense ants and constantly moving mutant beast herds, with the undisputed Great Commander being the arrogant Cyclops.

”Eat! There’s something for everyone! That Luo Luo, release a few more ants, some low-grade demonic creature corpses are almost rotted through! And Corpse puppet, you better eat less, don’t touch those Peak Level 6 corpses, they’re mine, mine! Damn...”

A veritable gluttonous feast belonging to Wen Yu’s forces!

...

Mountain Kui was not fond of talking, and Fran, deep in thought, also didn’t speak much. The two silently hurried along, and the sceneries along the way made Fran feel the trip was worth it.

Very lively, very active, and judging by the results, not lacking in strength either. Fran thought of the last time he met with Wen Yu, and a touch of sentiment rose in his heart.
