Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

The regiment led by Zero, able to relentlessly pursue Akad for two months without relent, naturally belongs to the Demon Tribe’s elite unit.

Reconnaissance, combat, tracking, all kinds of special operations units are fully equipped, and precisely because the combat capability of this team is so strong, Akad simply could not handle it on his own. This is why Wen Yu has always ignored this little tail behind him. Of course, this also includes the intention of deliberately exposing his whereabouts.

However, the cat-and-mouse game always has an end. Three days later, when Wen Yu and Akad arrived at a desert in southeastern Africa, the game finally reached its end.

”Stay here yourself, withstand the first wave of the Demon Tribe’s attack, and leave the rest to me.”

”Don’t set me up, Brother Wen Yu...”

Akad himself isn’t exactly trustworthy, and besides, Akad understands well enough that Wen Yu isn’t a good person either. To say that Akad has fully trusted Wen Yu in just two months is naturally unrealistic.

Instead, Wen Yu patted Akad on the shoulder, comforting him with a sentence: ”Don’t worry, as long as you don’t die in the first wave of attacks, I will ensure you remain unharmed!”

...

At this moment, Zero was standing in front of a small mound, gazing into the distance.

In the distance, Akad’s figure appeared like a tiny black dot, yet in face of Zero’s Level 6 Limit Breakthrough power, the figure of the professionist in a red trench coat was absolutely clear.

Physical quality not only measures the absolute combat power index of a unit, but also affects various aspects of individual capability—such as eyesight.

Akad’s physical quality was merely pitifully low, not much different from an ordinary person. Zero blatantly observed, taking advantage of Akad’s poor physical quality—in outsiders’ view, naturally, it would be understood this way.

However, Zero’s real focus was not on Akad.

Sweeping his gaze back and forth, unable to find the figure he judged he should see, Zero squinted his eyes, incessantly pondering until his adjutant interrupted his thoughts.

”Sir, Lord Siegle has arrived, the Skeleton Battalion, the Ancient Barbarian Battalion, the Black Spirit Battalion have also reached the preset location, the encirclement has been formed, Lord Siegle has ordered you to stay put and cut off Akad’s retreat.”

”Tch.”

Maintaining a stoic expression, yet within, Zero indeed let out a scoff.

The so-called cutting off of a retreat was merely a tactic to prevent himself from snatching credit. Nevertheless, this order aligned with Zero’s intentions—over the past two months, Akad had managed to escape from the Demon Tribe’s encirclement every time. But this time, with Heaven’s net already laid out, Akad was still lying under the sun. If there is no trick here, it must be due to an unusual happening!

This time’s siege, Zero didn’t think much of it, and he even simulated the outcome in his mind—Akad killed countless Demon Fiends and then escaped once more. But with Siegle there, if his conjecture is right, maybe he can force Sequence Number 2 to come out?

Random thoughts flashed through his mind as Zero nodded gently and turned around, walking down the mound.

”All forces, attack!”

Watching the adjutant lead the battalion charging toward Akad’s direction, Zero’s eyes couldn’t help but show a hint of anticipation.

Siegle forced Sequence Number 2 out; Sequence Number 2 either fled with Akad or went on a killing spree—that’s Akad’s script.

But the truth, or rather Wen Yu’s ambition...

Far exceeded Zero’s imagination!

...

As the battalion advanced, the earth trembled alongside.

Sensing the slight tremor, Akad leaped from the ground, followed by swarming blood slaves emerging beside him, rushing toward the distant rolling dust. Meanwhile, Akad himself, seemingly sensing the pursuers closing in, fled in panic toward another direction.

Until shouts of killing rang out all around.

From an aerial perspective, surrounding Akad were scarlet blood slaves, appearing like a solitary island, encircled by a flood of Demon Tribe from all directions!

”Act a bit more panicked, yes, perform just like that!”

Wen Yu’s spiritual fluctuation conveying to Akad’s ear caused Akad a sense of irony—this Demon Tribe siege, in the eyes of this leader, was just a script written with casual ease.

And as the leading actor, Akad naturally had the right to question.

”There are too many, Brother Wen Yu, when will you make your move?”

”I’ll act when it’s time for me to act.”

”You won’t just let me die, will you...”

”Hehe.”

Wen Yu merely returned an ambiguous chuckle and then directly severed the spiritual connection, leaving Akad standing alone in the desert center, watching the Demon Fiends surging from all directions. Finally, Akad took a deep breath.

”Damn it, let’s do this.”

Akad also had means of escape, albeit at a huge price, but compared to his life, it was bearable. Yet upon thinking of Wen Yu’s promised terms, he also recalled Wanping’s unexplained disappearance and Vincent who caused his current predicament. Akad gritted his teeth, commanding the vast army of blood slaves, and charged head-on towards the Demon Tribe.

In an instant, the ground cracked, a scent of blood spread, and two massive armies collided head-on, followed immediately by undisguised melee combat!

...

The River of Death ability, even through Wen Yu’s perspective, could be seen as an extraordinarily potent Esoteric Level skill—in certain aspects, the skill equals the Netherworld!

The Netherworld can resurrect Earth’s creatures into puppets within its realm, but River of Death is even more extreme!

Any creature that perishes at Akad’s hand will become a blood slave devoid of self-awareness—including Demon Tribe!

This is truly a ”snowballing” skill. Despite the drawback of being unable to learn other skills, its intrinsic value is undeniable!

Numerous blood slaves recently slain by Akad, brimming with rich blood aura, fearlessly charged toward the Demon Army, and amidst the instant clash, the roaring blood slaves astonishingly withstood the Demon Tribe’s offensive.

Witnessing this, Akad couldn’t help but let out a breath of impure air, partially relieved to ease his anxious heart. Yet, no sooner than a second passed, as a fierce roar erupted from the horizon, Akad’s small heart almost leaped out of his throat!

”Perish!”

A furious shout resonated from afar, and by the time the voice reached Akad’s ears, a hoof-like giant foot had already fiercely stomped on Akad’s face.

Just like a burst can of pulp, brain matter, eyeballs, blood sprayed out from every orifice on Akad’s face, rapidly regenerating under terrifying undead potency.

However, even after revival, what more could be done...?

Awaiting Akad was merely another hoof...
