Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Leave the three snow leopard cubs in the camp.

Chen Wen sealed the entrance of the cave and then left the camp with the snow leopard and the Golden Eagle.

With the two animals, Chen Wen came to the vicinity of the lake.

When they arrived, Xiong Ma was feasting with its harem.

Seeing Chen Wen, Xiong Ma excitedly came over.

Its harem also accepted Chen Wen and followed Xiong Ma over.

Chen Wen distributed the special feed and barley he brought to Xiong Ma and its harem, and then introduced the snow leopard to Xiong Ma.

Xiong Ma had long heard of the snow leopard.

And the snow leopard more than once caught Xiong Ma’s scent.

In an environment they can communicate, they didn’t act particularly unfamiliar; instead, they immediately started chatting.

Let the animals chat among themselves.

Chen Wen leisurely stepped on the grass, intending to rest near the hillside.

But as he passed by a puddle area by the lake, the marks on the ground made Chen Wen pause.

”Huh? These are footprints? When did they appear?”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but speak out and then walked towards the footprints.

He raised his own foot and stepped beside those footprints.

After comparing the shapes, Chen Wen confirmed that they weren’t his or any other Survivor’s.

The equipment used by these Survivors is provided by the association, so if it were another Survivor, the footprints should be the same.

Also, they weren’t from Zhaxi Duntu’s family.

On one hand, Chen Wen had seen footprints from Zhaxi Duntu’s family before; their shoe prints have wave-like patterns, different from these dot-like patterns here.

On the other hand, these footprints are quite fresh.

Zhaxi Duntu’s family left many days ago, and the timeframe doesn’t match with these footprints.

Chen Wen frowned; if the footprints weren’t from other Survivors or Zhaxi Duntu’s family,

then it means there are outsiders near the camp!

At this moment, Chen Wen suddenly remembered the two protected area staff who had previously come here.

A cold sweat suddenly broke out on his back.

”Snow Leopard! Golden Eagle! Stop playing! There’s something going on!”

Chen Wen shouted loudly, calling his animals: ”Golden Eagle, fly up high! Scout the surroundings, look for anything resembling transport! Especially around the valley!”

”Snow Leopard! Go back! Hurry up!”

”Xiong Ma, take me back!”

With Chen Wen’s words falling, the Golden Eagle was the first to realize how tense and serious the situation was for Chen Wen.

It immediately flapped its wings and flew up, heading towards the valley.

The second to react was the snow leopard.

The snow leopard didn’t care that it was grooming its fur by the water; it suddenly sprang up from beside Xiong Ma and dashed towards the valley.

Meanwhile, Chen Wen pulled up the somewhat clueless Xiong Ma and swiftly mounted it.

He urged Xiong Ma and quickly rushed to the valley.

...

Arriving at the mouth of the valley.

Chen Wen dismounted and hurriedly rushed into the camp.

It was only then Xiong Ma understood Chen Wen’s urgency.

It hesitated for a moment and followed Chen Wen into the valley.

At this moment, the snow leopard and Golden Eagle were both there.

Chen Wen looked at the two animals and the three little snow leopards beside the snow leopard, he couldn’t help but sigh with relief.

Fortunately!

Seems I was just overthinking it.

Chen Wen sighed, but just as he was about to relax, the snow leopard’s words made him tense again.

It indicated for Chen Wen to look at a spot on the ground at the valley entrance: ”There’s the scent of a stranger there!”

A stranger!

Chen Wen quickly walked towards the place mentioned by the snow leopard, and the snow leopard surrounded him.

On the ground where the snow leopard pointed, Chen Wen saw a bone resembling a chicken bone.

He carefully used the tip of a spear to tap the bone, and it broke instantly into fragments.

”This seems like the bone from some vacuum-packed meat, it’s completely crisp.”

Chen Wen said.

This time, Fathead squeezed over, seeing the bone, it instinctively wanted to go over to taste it.

But was grabbed by the neck and lifted aside by Chen Wen.

”Don’t eat this thing, who knows if there’s some kind of drug or poison in it; throw it away!”

Chen Wen said, telling the snow leopard to watch over its children.

He then tidied up the chicken bone-like object and threw it far away outside the camp.

After returning to the valley, Chen Wen continued surveying around the valley.

”There are no other traces here, just a few footprints which should belong to the same owner as those found by the lake.”

Chen Wen looked at the Golden Eagle: ”Did you find anything? Any people or transportation appearing?”

Golden Eagle shook its head.

It arrived near the valley first, but didn’t see the person who left the bone and footprints.

Nor did it see any trace of transportation.

Seeing the Golden Eagle’s actions, Chen Wen’s doubts not only didn’t disperse but became even deeper.

What the hell is going on here?

Why did mysterious footprints suddenly appear, yet no one showed up?

Not even find anyone?

Damn it, is this place haunted?

Chen Wen couldn’t help but think.

He naturally doesn’t believe in these supernatural things, but the situation now is indeed a bit absurd.

With these doubts, Chen Wen instructed: ”Golden Eagle, search the surroundings once more later; confirm there’s really no one here, and check the ground traces carefully.”

”Xiong Ma, did your group notice anything in the morning?”

Xiong Ma shook its head in response.

Although they have settled around the lake, they do not remain active around the lake all day.

Sometimes, to find better grass, they also venture to other areas to check things out.

”Alright, in the coming days keep an eye on the surroundings, if you discover humans like me, let me know, and don’t impulsively approach other humans.”

The appearance of footprints reminded Chen Wen of the dead horse from Zhaxi Duntu’s family.

Xiong Ma nodded, keeping these words in mind.

Then Chen Wen looked at the snow leopard: ”You take care of your children these days, try not to go out; forget it, I’ll guard the camp, while you in your spare time can sniff around, see if you can catch the scent of strangers.”

Snow Leopard nodded.

After assigning tasks, Chen Wen also made a firm decision: Damn it, whether you’re human or ghost, I’ll be sitting here in the valley; if you dare to show up, try if my spear is sharp!

With this determination, Chen Wen sealed most of the valley.

And opened part of the stone seal of the cave so he can pass through anytime.

Of course, Chen Wen’s strange actions caught Qu Yong’s attention.

In the evening, he secretly contacted Chen Wen, which is considered a privilege of being the host team.

Chen Wen on the phone asked Qu Yong to pay attention to the situation here.

He disclosed today’s events, and Qu Yong also became vigilant.

After chatting for a while, Chen Wen hung up the phone.
