Chen Wen really likes this type of entry similar to [Friendly].

Because it makes it easier for him to approach and tame carnivorous animals, and allows special animals among them to more easily accept him.

It plays a significant role in taming animals.

Especially for subsequent survival, the Beast Extreme Challenge requires contestants to go directly to the African savanna.

Although the specific rules are unclear, Chen Wen is sure he wants to bring this entry with him.

After all, the place has a large number of carnivorous animals, and the probability of encountering them is extremely high.

After selecting the entry, the idle Chen Wen began to analyze which characteristics of the raven corresponded to this entry.

This is truly idle.

...

Soon, after a thorough analysis.

Chen Wen felt he couldn’t continue like this.

Food is abundant, the shelter stable, there’s both water and fire.

His next task is simply to collect yak jerky on time every day, lay it out, fetch water, and pick up dung.

Days are visibly becoming boring.

So he plans to find something to do.

”Next, I need to prepare some things for transporting supplies. Making sleds or carts is definitely out of the question, so I’ll need to tame some animals to help transport supplies.”

Lying on the ground, Chen Wen said, ”Not only that, I need to collect some stones to make a bed. Even with yak skin as padding, sleeping on the ground isn’t very comfortable!”

”Making a bed is simple. Find some smooth stones, gather some pastoral grass or similar things to cushion it, then lay wild yak skin on top.”

”But taming animals... that’s quite difficult! What can be tamed?”

Various animals flashed through Chen Wen’s mind.

Wild yaks can be used as transport animals, but they have a bad temper, so unless they’re special animals, they aren’t considered.

All things considered, the most suitable should be wild horses.

The Tibetan horse and River Curve Horse are relatively docile and have good stamina for carrying loads.

Transporting supplies on a long journey across the plateau is not an easy task.

After much thought, Chen Wen finally decided to attempt to tame a Tibetan horse to help with transporting supplies.

After making the decision, Chen Wen began drafting a plan.

However, for taming Tibetan horses... He doesn’t have any food that attracts them.

He can only take it one step at a time.

Chen Wen shook his head and stopped overthinking.

...

In the afternoon.

Chen Wen retrieved the yak bones.

Using stones, he broke open the bones rich in marrow.

He then extracted the yak marrow with a spoon from his ration pack and stored it aside.

He tore open a pack of fuel and used the packaging as a container for storing marrow.

The marrow Chen Wen took out was placed in the bags, used as sunscreen and antifrost.

The plateau’s radiation is strong, temperatures low, and the wind particularly fierce.

Without protection, skin damage is inevitable.

Cracks, fissures, and peeling are all prevalent.

Being here for over ten days, Chen Wen too experienced some of these issues.

Especially on his face.

In the plateau’s fierce wind, Chen Wen’s face had already shed a layer of skin. The newly formed tender skin often experienced bouts of stinging from the cold wind.

Applying these fats to his face can significantly alleviate these conditions.

After collecting the marrow, Chen Wen planned to process the remaining bones into bone spears.

Yet, to Chen Wen’s dismay, he’s almost out of rope.

Forget it; bone spears offer limited damage. Making one is enough, with the remaining bones perhaps assembled into a bone chair.

He thought that this idea was inspired by a survival game.

In it, bones from savages could be used to make chairs.

Gazing at the large yak bones, Chen Wen decided to give it a try.

The rest of the afternoon was spent attempting to assemble a chair from bones.

Effort wasn’t wasted, and by dusk, Chen Wen successfully crafted something resembling a park recliner using wild yak ribs and leg bones.

This structure mainly relies on the curved yak ribs for back support, while the leg bones support the ribs.

Allowing one to sit or lie down.

Due to lacking rope, Chen Wen used stones to secure the bones, making it barely stable.

As long as you don’t plop down heavily, this bone chair can fairly easily support Chen Wen’s weight.

One downside is the greasy bones, which can stain clothes.

But for Chen Wen, who is surviving in the wild, this is no concern.

Crafting the bone chair, Chen Wen leaned back satisfied, sipping hot tea.

He held a paper cup, a utensil from his military rations.

Now settled, Chen Wen took out the cup as a teacup.

...

After the night passed.

Come morning, Chen Wen began searching for stones, planning to make a bed.

Stones are easy to find.

In the valley, it took Chen Wen about ten minutes to locate suitable stones.

He carried these stones into the cave, piling them where he’d been sleeping.

After several trips, he finally transported all the stones into the cave.

Next, Chen Wen laid the stones flat; this was the bed base.

”Later, I’m going out to gather pastoral grass, do you want to come with me?”

Chen Wen glanced at the Golden Eagle dozing at one side of the cave.

The Golden Eagle decisively declined: ”Nah, I’ll plan to wander around later, won’t go with you.”

Going out with Chen Wen, unless hunting, is quite boring.

Might as well wander alone.

Thought the Golden Eagle.

Seeing it didn’t want to join him, Chen Wen didn’t insist.

This time out, he indeed had some rather dull work to do.

Grabbing his weapon, letting the Snow Leopard rest, and keeping an eye on the laid out yak jerky outside.

Chen Wen left the valley.

...

Outside the valley, Chen Wen squatted on the ground, quickly gathering pastoral grass.

While collecting, he thought if this could be used to tame Tibetan horses.

But soon, he dismissed this idea.

There’s plenty of pastoral grass here, and the Tibetan horses would graze themselves.

Unless one selects exceptionally tender pastoral grass, gathers and piles them to attract the horses for taming.

Otherwise, they surely won’t take a glance.

After making note of this, Chen Wen took the pastoral grass back to camp, spreading it over the stone bed.

Afterward.

He laid processed yak skin on top of the pastoral grass.

He tried sitting on the stone bed, lying down, feeling the uneven places.

Identifying these areas, Chen Wen spread remaining pastoral grass over the indents.

Making the stone bed a bit more balanced.

After roughly ten minutes of adjustment, the stone bed was much smoother.

Though there were still small bumps, they hardly affected sleep.

Next, Chen Wen folded the yak skin creating a pillow-like rise.

He lay on it, feeling it once more.

”It’s quite comfortable!”

Chen Wen exclaimed, lying there not wanting to get up.

However, he wasn’t trapped by the comfortable bed, resting for a few dozen minutes before standing up to fetch water.

Additionally, observing the activity range and schedule of the Tibetan horses, and locating tender pastoral grass, preparing for the taming plans.

Besides that, he planned to check the location of the Tibetan antelopes.

Also part of the research for upcoming hunts.
