Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Feeling Chen Wen’s friendship, Gesang nodded with emotion, holding the three items tightly in his hands.

”Remember to study hard when you go back. Didn’t you envy my lifestyle before? Study hard, and you’ll have a chance in the future too.”

Chen Wen smiled and patted Gesang on the shoulder, ”Goodbye.”

”Goodbye!”

Gesang said, giving Chen Wen a strong hug.

Soon, as Zhaxi Duntu’s family all mounted their horses, they waved to Chen Wen and left the area.

Watching the family go far away, Chen Wen’s face showed a hint of slight disappointment.

Having neighbors definitely feels better than surviving alone.

However, Chen Wen quickly shook off the disappointment.

He planned to first take a look at the things Zhaxi Duntu left for him.

He went to the spot where Zhaxi Duntu’s family had previously camped.

Chen Wen quickly spotted two large packages.

He couldn’t help but click his tongue, approaching the large packages: ”Zhaxi Duntu is truly sincere! Did he leave everything according to the association’s maximum allowed amount?”

Although the association prohibits long-term cohabitation with others, it doesn’t forbid contestants from receiving help from herdsmen.

This can be considered a local benefit for Hua Country contestants.

However, to maintain relative fairness, the association does have some restrictions on receiving help.

For example, contestants must also help the herdsmen, contestants cannot directly receive tools, and the weight of gifted supplies is limited to a certain number of kilograms, etc.

Zhaxi Duntu’s family has long been in contact with the association, so he knows the association’s rules well.

Hence, the supplies left for Chen Wen are all at the maximum weight allowed by the association.

Chen Wen opened the package and took a look.

The first package was divided into four smaller parcels, one containing salt, another sugar, the third was tsampa, and the fourth had chili and garlic.

These four parcels brought an excited smile to Chen Wen’s face.

Tsampa and sugar don’t need much explanation; they will be very useful later.

Salt is something Chen Wen absolutely needs now.

As for the chili and garlic, they’ve enriched Chen Wen’s seasonings.

When eating meat afterward, Chen Wen can use the spiciness and garlic flavor to remove the gamey taste.

These few items are practically survival essentials!

The other large package contained two smaller parcels, one with refined feed and the other with barley.

Barley, to put it bluntly, can be treated as wheat.

After all, it’s indeed a special variety of the barley genus.

The barley that Zhaxi Duntu left for Chen Wen has been processed, retaining the husk as barley grains.

People can eat these grains, but they’re mostly used to feed livestock.

The refined feed on the other side looked like chocolate balls, with each small ball about the size of Chen Wen’s fingertip. Zhaxi Duntu also left a note, explaining how to use them.

These are pelleted feeds; Zhaxi Duntu’s family typically mixes them with regular feed for use.

This feed mainly consists of barley, wheat, corn, soybean meal, bran, and other ingredients.

For horses, this is equivalent to a compressed full-course banquet!

Zhaxi Duntu mentioned that these have a strong attraction to wild horses.

There’s hope for taming Tibetan horses or River Curve Horses!

Chen Wen clapped excitedly, almost jumping right up.

Carrying the two large bags of supplies, Chen Wen leisurely returned to his camp.

He told the Snow Leopard about Zhaxi Duntu’s family leaving, causing the Snow Leopard to feel a bit sad. But hearing from Chen Wen that he could visit them anytime, the Snow Leopard immediately perked up.

At noon, Chen Wen made food for the Snow Leopard and then started preparing a spicy rabbit stew for himself.

The spicy and salty rabbit meat was very satisfying for Chen Wen.

He hadn’t tasted something so flavorful in a long time.

After eating, Chen Wen instructed the Golden Eagle to start scouting the area for Tibetan horses and River Curve Horses.

Once he finds these horses, Chen Wen plans to seize the opportunity to tame one or two.

Additionally, Chen Wen has a bold idea.

If he can find wild yaks...

With the supplies he has, Chen Wen feels he might even attempt to tame wild yaks!

...

In the afternoon, Chen Wen stayed in the shelter, sorting and storing the supplies he obtained from Zhaxi Duntu’s family.

Strategic supplies like sugar and salt were carefully sealed in plastic bags by Chen Wen and stored in a cool, ventilated place.

Food and seasonings like tsampa, chili, and garlic were tied up by Chen Wen and placed in a corner of the cave, ready for easy access.

The remaining milk candies and some snacks were placed near Chen Wen’s stone bed.

Whenever he craves something sweet, he can grab one to enjoy.

A little joy in wilderness survival.

Chen Wen pinched a piece of milk candy and put it in his mouth.

As the flavors of milk and sweetness blossomed on his tongue, Chen Wen lay back on the stone bed, squinting contentedly.

Is this wilderness survival?

Why does it feel like a vacation?

Chen Wen couldn’t help but think.

Watching this scene, Qu Yong was speechless for a long time.

This guy isn’t just strong; his luck this time is incredibly good.

He even encountered the Zhaxi Duntu family, who have been in contact with the association.

This family is noted by the association as very friendly among all cooperative herdsmen.

And as the association’s records indicate, they provided Chen Wen substantial help.

”As long as this kid maintains his current situation and doesn’t act recklessly, he’ll certainly secure the summit challenge this time!”

Qu Yong said.

Upon hearing this, Liu Yu on the video couldn’t help but nod, ”Probably, I’m at ease with him, and besides, the Snow Leopard issue has been resolved. Make sure to tell him whenever you get a chance.”

”The Snow Leopard wasn’t really fit for wilderness survival; its pelvic bones are deformed, increasing the risk of problems in its offspring. After discussions with the reserve, they’ve agreed to let a zoo legally keep it.”

Hearing this, Qu Yong was taken aback, ”Would Chen Wen agree to let another zoo take care of it on his behalf?”

At this, Liu Yu said somewhat dejectedly, ”There’s no need for another zoo to take over. Chen Wen, somehow, owns a private zoo that is officially recognized! Damn, I don’t even know when this happened.”

Qu Yong gasped.

A private zoo?

My god, isn’t that something rich people play with?

He scratched his head and asked, ”Could it be that Chen Wen is a second-generation wealthy kid? Is his dad rich?”

”No, it has nothing to do with his dad.”

Liu Yu thought for a moment and said, ”I heard from Lv Guocheng that Chen Wen once had a little windfall in the Yukon, and he used that money along with bonuses from the past years to establish a zoo. If you want to know more, you’ll have to ask him later. Anyway, his zoo can receive the Snow Leopard, so that’s it. I have other matters to attend to; I’m signing off.”
