Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Entering the valley, the Snow Leopard leisurely poked its head out upon hearing footsteps.

But when it saw that there were two people behind Chen Wen.

The Snow Leopard stood up nervously.

Although it had received help from humans many times, the Snow Leopard was still somewhat afraid of strangers.

However, when it clearly saw the faces of those two people and smelled their scent.

The Snow Leopard froze.

This is...

The Snow Leopard looked at Duoji and Gesang in surprise, and couldn’t help but ask, ”This scent... feels so familiar, Chen Wen, are they...”

Before Chen Wen could answer, Gesang, who was beside him, quickly stepped forward and stood in front of the Snow Leopard.

The Snow Leopard was startled by her sudden move, retreating a little.

However, soon the Snow Leopard seemed to realize something.

It carefully identified Gesang’s scent, comparing it with the scent in its memory.

Soon, the Snow Leopard said, ”It’s her! I recognize her, the family of the person who saved me!”

After saying this, the Snow Leopard visibly became excited.

It hurriedly rushed to Gesang’s side, circling around her.

After confirming again, the Snow Leopard excitedly went over to Duoji.

It also recognized Duoji.

”Chen Wen! This person used to feed me, giving me lots of delicious food, but also a lot of unpalatable things!”

The Snow Leopard spoke, seemingly recalling the past flavors, showing a clear look of disdain and retreating a little.

Seeing this scene, Duoji couldn’t help but laugh: ”It’s that Snow Leopard! Goodness, these little expressions are exactly the same as before!”

”I was assisting my dad at that time, and I was the one administering the medicine. I really had a hard time when feeding it.”

Hearing Duoji’s words, Chen Wen nodded slightly.

After confirming their identities, the Snow Leopard gave Chen Wen a grateful look.

Then it went to the cave entrance, looking outside, seemingly waiting for something.

Seeing this, Chen Wen felt some tightness in his chest.

And Duoji seemed to sense something too.

He no longer joked around lightly and spoke in a somewhat low voice: ”Is it... looking for my dad?”

Chen Wen nodded slightly.

Seeing no one else behind, the Snow Leopard couldn’t help but ask, ”Chen Wen, where are the others? The one who saved me, haven’t they come?”

Chen Wen didn’t quite know what to say, he just gently nodded.

I see...

The Snow Leopard felt a little disappointed.

But soon, it emerged from the disappointment and excitedly circled around Gesang.

Observing this, Chen Wen outwardly cautioned Gesang not to get too close to the Snow Leopard, but actually instructed the Snow Leopard not to hurt Gesang.

After giving them warnings, Chen Wen and Duoji went outside the cave together.

The two exchanged looks, at a bit of a loss for words.

Duoji watched the Snow Leopard playing with Gesang and laughed: ”I believe my dad would be delighted to witness this scene.”

Chen Wen nodded.

But just as Chen Wen was about to speak, Duoji suddenly said: ”However, there’s something on my mind that I want to tell you.”

”What is it?”

Chen Wen asked.

Duoji glanced at the Snow Leopard and said, ”This guy might be giving birth in a few days, but its condition isn’t very good.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen was startled.

Duoji continued: ”When I was assisting my father, I learned a bit of veterinary knowledge, not much, but I remember my father saying that this Snow Leopard’s fracture was very serious, and he felt it might have injured the pelvis.”

Injured the pelvis?

Chen Wen was taken aback, but quickly, he too realized the problem.

”Are you saying it might have a difficult labor?”

Chen Wen frowned and couldn’t help but ask.

Duoji shook his head: ”I’m not sure, I just checked it, it doesn’t walk abnormally, so it should be fine, but better safe than sorry, I think we should be prepared!”

Chen Wen nodded: ”Should we contact the reserve directly?”

Duoji shook his head: ”The reserve might not take care of this situation here, and reaching out to them takes time. I think...”

Just as Duoji was speaking, the Snow Leopard playing with Gesang suddenly emitted a somewhat pained cry.

Hearing this sound, Chen Wen and Duoji were both stunned.

The two looked in the direction of the sound and saw the Snow Leopard growling anxiously, pushing Gesang aside forcefully, and entering the small nest Chen Wen had made for it inside the cave.

Seeing this, Chen Wen immediately realized the problem.

He first checked on Gesang, confirmed she wasn’t hurt, and then rushed to the Snow Leopard’s side.

Duoji also came over.

He closely observed the Snow Leopard’s physical condition and then asked, ”Has it been eating much lately?”

Upon hearing this, Chen Wen shook his head: ”Since yesterday, no, it should be from the day before yesterday, it hasn’t been eating much.”

Duoji scratched his head and said, ”I vaguely remember my dad mentioning that when Snow Leopards give birth, their digestive system makes way for the birthing process, so they stop eating a while before giving birth.”

Chen Wen was startled and then looked at the Snow Leopard.

Pain was evident on its face.

”It’s about to give birth!”

Chen Wen couldn’t help but say.

And at this moment, the Snow Leopard’s cries gradually changed.

It emitted low growls, and its breathing became shallow and rapid.

When Chen Wen and Duoji were at a loss for what to do, the Snow Leopard arched its back, letting out painful low growls.

At the same time, it looked up at Duoji, a flicker of ferocity in its eyes.

”We need to keep our distance, at this time it will be very averse to other creatures nearby!”

Duoji, sensing the Snow Leopard’s emotion, quickly advised.

At the same time, he pulled Gesang, who was eager to watch, back.

Chen Wen also retreated, but before he could step back a few steps, the Snow Leopard looked at him, letting out a series of plaintive cries resembling a plea for help.

The Snow Leopard’s behavior left Chen Wen and Duoji dumbfounded.

However, Chen Wen quickly reacted, rushing to the Snow Leopard’s side, reaching out a hand to soothe it, and bestowing the Animal Doctor’s blessing.

Though without keywords, this time it was entirely to keep the Snow Leopard’s body in a relatively good state.

And from a distance, Duoji was somewhat astonished by the trust the Snow Leopard placed in Chen Wen.

Thinking back, he had saved the Snow Leopard before, yet during labor, it could not tolerate him nearby.

Gazing in amazement at Chen Wen’s back, Duoji said: ”I’ll head back to see if I can find anything useful, just keep an eye out, right now it’s only the early stages of labor, not too dangerous.”

Chen Wen nodded, the anxiety in his heart slightly easing.

He looked at the Snow Leopard, reaching out to gently stroke its neck, calming its nerves.

Perhaps due to the soothing efforts, or maybe the blessing’s effect.

The Snow Leopard’s mood gradually calmed down.

Duoji, observing this, didn’t linger longer.

Instead, he briskly left, intent on finding some useful items.
