Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Finally, Chen Wen decided to bring the River Curve Horse herd along and head back towards the camp.

On the way, Chen Wen rode the already tamed chestnut mare and talked to the River Curve Horse leader about his plan: ”After returning, just rest with your herd by the lake near the camp. Contact me anytime if anything comes up, as well as the Golden Eagle.”

The Golden Eagle perched on Chen Wen’s yak helmet, scrutinizing the wild horses.

It casually said, ”If there’s anything, just call out loud into the sky; once I perceive your call or see your action, I’ll come to help.”

Xiong Ma looked at the Golden Eagle, intrigued, nodding in curiosity.

This was the first time it engaged in such detailed communication with another species.

”You guys chat first, there’s still a long way to the camp. We won’t make it back today, let’s just take our time on the way and not rush.”

Chen Wen said, letting the Golden Eagle and Xiong Ma communicate first.

Simultaneously, he closed his eyes and chose one of the attributes dropped by Xiong Ma.

This attribute was just for this survival, so Chen Wen chose the most suitable attribute for this survival.

[Horse Herd Leader (Gold): As the leader of the horse herd, you’re more likely to gain the favor of mares. When the number of mares around exceeds five, you gain increased momentum and combat power. Ps: Special attribute, can only be obtained from the River Curve Horse leader, and its effects are limited only to the River Curve Horse herd.]

This attribute is considered a special attribute of a group leader.

Moreover, it only affects the River Curve Horse.

In other words, it only takes effect when female River Curve Horses gather around.

This time’s usage is considered pretty decent.

After choosing the attribute, Chen Wen also felt a change in momentum.

Simply put, he developed an instinctual wild animal-like aura on his body, as well as a bit of a killing intent.

This is something the Golden Eagle perceived.

Chen Wen gave it a sense that he was more dangerous than before.

At the same time, Chen Wen also felt an enhancement in combat power.

Mainly the improvement of body coordination and strength, he even learned some leg-kicking techniques.

Riding the horse into the evening.

Chen Wen and the horse herd rested on a sheltered slope.

Because of the horse herd’s presence, Chen Wen didn’t even need to stand guard at night.

Just slept through the night.

The next day, Chen Wen woke up with incredible energy.

He felt the effect of the attribute [Easy to Raise].

From last night until now, he slept about eight hours, but the actual effect should be ten hours!

The enhancement was around twenty-five percent.

...

With the horse herd, returning to the camp vicinity.

Chen Wen had the River Curve Horse herd stay by the lake.

The River Curve Horses were very satisfied with this new land.

The expanse of water was larger, and there was no presence of predators, life seemed quite stable.

After settling the wild horse herd, Chen Wen busied himself returning to the camp.

The stones at camp remained unmoved, reassuring Chen Wen.

Within the cave, hearing familiar sounds, the Snow Leopard came out for a look.

Seeing it was Chen Wen returning, the Snow Leopard immediately showed an excited expression.

It called out Chen Wen’s name, and from the stone crevices, three furry little heads popped out one after another.

Three little Snow Leopards!

Chen Wen looked at the three adorable rule-breaking little guys and couldn’t help but smile.

”They can already move around?”

Chen Wen said, walking over to the Snow Leopard’s side.

For Chen Wen, the little guys weren’t unfamiliar.

They emitted a series of meowing-like sounds, racing to climb to Chen Wen’s side.

Though newly born,

these three little guys already showed signs of dancing capabilities atop the Snow Leopard cliffs.

The eldest, with its chubby head, moved swiftly, grasping Chen Wen’s pants, attempting to climb his body.

While the second, Zhuangzhuang, though a bit skinny, moved even quicker than the chubby-head; in a blink, it clambered up to Chen Wen’s waist like climbing a tree.

Ah San, although of medium build, seemed a bit sleepy, lazily circling Chen Wen once before lying on his foot and dozing off.

”Wow, while others have cats cling to them, I have Snow Leopards clinging to me!”

Chen Wen caught Zhuangzhuang, gently holding it in the palm of his hand.

Then, he pulled the chubby-head off his thigh, placing both little ones on the ground.

”Was the trip smooth? I see you haven’t brought any animals back.”

The Snow Leopard knew Chen Wen’s goal in venturing out, so upon seeing Chen Wen return without any animals, it felt a bit concerned.

Chen Wen lightly patted the Snow Leopard’s nape, reassuring it: ”Relax, the task was perfectly, no, should say super-super-super-super-super-super exceeded.”

”Moreover, there’s a new companion, just like you.”

Chen Wen smiled as he spoke.

Upon hearing this, the Snow Leopard’s eyes sparkled.

Animals that can talk?

They might be worth a meet!

...

Not mentioning the Snow Leopard’s plan to meet the River Curve Horse.

After returning to camp, Chen Wen used the remaining time of the day to plan for the upcoming tasks.

Regarding the food for the animals, Chen Wen currently doesn’t need to worry much.

The Golden Eagle is obsessed with catching pikas, not only eating enough for itself but also providing plenty for the Snow Leopard.

Even if two more Snow Leopards arrived, there would be enough to eat.

And this was despite its reduced hunting frequency.

The River Curve Horse herd also didn’t require much from Chen Wen, as they could find food themselves.

Aside from this.

Then there’s the continued survival issue.

Chen Wen checked his supplies and conducted a simple plan.

Food-wise, it was completely enough for him to consume until the migration begins, but thereafter, with increased activity levels, food needs will rise, making the current supplies insufficient.

Therefore, regarding food, Chen Wen plans to hunt some animals, obtaining their attributes and meat for storage.

Regarding water.

His own water bottle and the water sacs made from yak stomach are able to store water, with quite a large capacity.

If there’s really no water, snow can be melted for water.

There’s no need to worry.

Regarding resource transportation.

The entire horse herd can be utilized by Chen Wen, and Zhaxi Duntu, knowledgeable about rules, divided many bags for food, giving Chen Wen plenty of bags.

This aspect also doesn’t require concern.

Thus, thinking back and forth, it seems the next task is merely hunting some animals yet to be hunted.

Is this considered an early entry into the late stage of survival?

Chen Wen lay on the stone bed, fathead lying on his face, thinking happily.

After secretly enjoying for a while.

Chen Wen pondered his hunting targets.

Soon, he listed three names - Marmot, Tibetan Gazelle, Tibetan Antelope!

These three animals are permitted for hunting and are edible.

The upcoming days can definitely consider them.

Chen Wen pulled fathead off his face, starting to ponder the hunting matters.

He first thought of the Marmot.

This critter differed from the Tibetan Gazelle and Tibetan Antelope; they’re unrestricted in hunting and easier to hunt.

But the only hesitation Chen Wen had was, marmots are highly susceptible to plague bacteria, being major sources and hosts of the plague.

The plague, even Chen Wen has no real countermeasures.

Thus, hunting marmots must be done with great caution!

Once again pulling fathead off his body, Chen Wen scratched his head and started planning on hunting marmots while maximizing plague avoidance.

Sitting at camp until evening, Chen Wen slapped his thigh: I’ve got an idea!
