Wilderness Survival with Druid System

This abundant and diverse food made Chen Wen extremely excited.

Moreover, this is exactly the nutrition Chen Wen currently lacks the most.

The tsampa rich in carbohydrates, the rich butter and cream in fats.

And the protein-rich milk candy.

These things are the essential nutrients for survival.

It seems that Zhaxi Duntu indeed has a collaboration with the association; the supplies he provides are exactly what the survivor needs most.

Chen Wen was overjoyed.

At noon, he mixed some tsampa with butter and water and tried it out.

I have to say, even though it’s a specialty food of Tibetan compatriots, Chen Wen personally found it perfectly acceptable.

On the contrary, the unique aroma of tsampa and its satisfying texture.

Made Chen Wen, who hadn’t eaten carbohydrates for a long time, open his appetite wide!

He ate a full half a kilogram of tsampa before stopping.

”Wow, this stuff is really filling!”

Chen Wen rubbed his belly and couldn’t help but say.

The feeling of fullness was very strong!

Especially after drinking some butter tea, Chen Wen even felt a bit stuffed.

Goodness me, feeling stuffed in a mountain challenge known for lack of food, he really is something unique!

Chen Wen couldn’t help but marvel.

...

In the afternoon, Chen Wen didn’t go out, nor did he try to hunt or tame.

He rested in the shelter all afternoon and took the opportunity to store the food obtained from Zhaxi Duntu.

These things, for him, are the kind that needs to be preserved until later.

After all, besides being the nutrition Chen Wen needs, these foods are also very convenient to carry!

Not too heavy to carry during long journeys.

Thinking of the road ahead, Chen Wen couldn’t help but think: If I trade for a horse with Zhaxi Duntu, can I do it?

The River Curve Horse he rode in the morning really caught Chen Wen’s fancy.

That creature obviously possesses strong power and fairly good endurance.

If he could exchange for one, the upcoming trek would be no problem at all for Chen Wen.

Most importantly, if he could ride the River Curve Horse, his speed would be much faster.

He could also reach the survival points faster.

...

With one day passed, on the second day, Chen Wen picked some of his self-made sheep jerky and yak jerky — mainly those that looked good — and went to the valley where Zhaxi Duntu was located.

Due to needing to graze by the lake, Zhaxi Duntu’s family all got up early.

When Chen Wen arrived, only Zhaxi Duntu’s mother was at home.

This elderly lady had a good impression of Chen Wen, and upon seeing him, warmly invited him in to sit.

Although the old lady couldn’t speak Chinese, she used her phone’s translation function to translate what she wanted to say for Chen Wen.

Chen Wen was very surprised.

An elderly lady from the Tibetan Area was surprisingly good with her phone.

The old lady smiled and said it was her granddaughter — Gesang Meiduo — who taught her.

However, mentioning her granddaughter brought a troubled expression to the old lady’s face.

After asking, Chen Wen learned that Gesang Meiduo has a brother.

Her brother studies very well and now works in the protected area.

But as the younger sister, Gesang Meiduo lacked the ambition her brother had.

In the old lady’s words, Gesang Meiduo was like a wild girl.

Compared to studying in a classroom, Gesang Meiduo prefers riding her beloved horse and galloping on the grasslands.

The old lady was very unsatisfied about this.

Because she had endured hard days, she knew the importance of studying very well.

She felt that Chen Wen seemed quite scholarly, so she wanted to ask him how to make her granddaughter like studying.

Without holding back, Chen Wen didn’t know what to say either.

Because his academic history in this world is a high school dropout.

Seemingly sensing Chen Wen’s awkwardness, the old lady didn’t delve deeper into this topic.

After a few simple chats, Zhaxi Duntu returned.

He was not surprised to see Chen Wen, just nodded friendly at him.

Seeing the sheep jerky and yak jerky Chen Wen brought, Zhaxi Duntu was also very happy.

He invited Chen Wen to join in welcoming the second batch of livestock.

After asking a bit more in detail, he found out that Zhaxi Duntu also has a brother, who is a herdsman, but single.

He was driving a few hundred sheep and was supposed to arrive today as well.

Chen Wen was quite willing to work with Zhaxi Duntu.

Because the pay from this brother was really generous!

According to the association’s rules, if one obtains food from the herdsmen, it must be exchanged.

Exchange through physical labor or even trading leather is possible.

Yesterday, Chen Wen helped Zhaxi Duntu’s family look for poachers and helped Zhaxi Duntu find horses, and got the food from Zhaxi Duntu in return, equivalent to an exchange.

It meets the association’s requirements.

If Chen Wen helps Zhaxi Duntu again today, he can continue to obtain food from Zhaxi Duntu compliantly.

Zhaxi Duntu was quite clear about the association’s requirements, hence why he invited Chen Wen to help receive the livestock.

The two chatted on the way, and soon arrived at the place Zhaxi Duntu arranged with his brother.

At this moment, Chen Wen remembered the matter about Snow Leopards.

He decided to probe a bit.

Chen Wen asked, ”By the way, I recalled something; previously, I heard from the association seniors that there seem to be Snow Leopards on this mountain. Have you ever seen one?”

Snow Leopard?

Though the topic came off a bit abrupt, Zhaxi Duntu replied, ”I have seen them, but under normal circumstances, chances of encountering one are quite low. They also usually don’t attack humans; you don’t need to worry about Snow Leopard attacks.”

Upon hearing that, Chen Wen nodded slightly.

He casually said, ”Speaking of which, on this very mountain, I saw a creature similar to a Snow Leopard, but it was just a fleeting glimpse, and I’m not sure.”

Zhaxi Duntu looked up at the peak Chen Wen was pointing at, a hint of recollection flashing in his eyes.

Soon, he shook his head, saying, ”The likelihood of seeing a Snow Leopard on this mountain is quite high, earlier...”

Just as Zhaxi Duntu was about to open up about it, on the horizon ahead, a mass of white surged up.

”Ah, Duoji is here!”

Zhaxi Duntu saw the sheep and a smile emerged on his face.

Chen Wen felt a bit helpless, but didn’t continue to pursue, instead turned his gaze to the flock of sheep.

Beyond the sheep, he also noticed the sheepdogs and an off-road jeep.

In the driver’s seat of the jeep, he saw someone who looked a lot like Zhaxi Duntu, likely his brother, Duoji.

Duoji saw Zhaxi Duntu and waved excitedly, then drove the flock closer.

After the two chatted for a while, Chen Wen also got to know Duoji.

The three of them got in the car, following behind the flock, and drove them to a valley on the southwest side of the mountain.

This place might have been their previous residence; Chen Wen even saw rusty iron fences.

Presumably meant to keep the flock penned in.

After helping Zhaxi Duntu settle the flock in this place, Zhaxi Duntu warmly invited Chen Wen over to their camp for lunch.

Chen Wen, thinking of probing the Snow Leopard situation, did not decline the invitation.

Once at the valley camp, Duoji unloaded items from the off-road vehicle, which Chen Wen helped with.

On the vehicle were a few barrels of gasoline; besides the car, some would be used for the generator.

In addition, Chen Wen also saw some portable supplies and a few courier boxes.

After helping Duoji unload the car, Zhaxi Duntu led Chen Wen into the tent.

He enthusiastically offered butter tea and snacks, as well as quite a lot of food that was even more abundant than yesterday.

Leaving Chen Wen astounded.
