Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 550: Chapter 49: World-Shocking Spear Throw

In the forest, a wolf mink is licking its wounds.

It’s the wolf mink that invaded.

In the afternoon confrontation, it was not a match for King Kong.

After all, under Chen Wen’s protection, King Kong ate very well and had more abundant stamina.

Moreover, it had more brains.

Therefore, King Kong managed to wound the wolf mink, but couldn’t find a chance to kill it.

Just as the wolf mink was licking its wounds,

it suddenly raised its head.

Immediately, the wolf mink let out a series of ferocious growls.

Like the suppressed growl of a dog when angry.

At the same time, within the forest,

King Kong swaggered out, staring at its kind.

This one was also male.

Repelled by each other, King Kong harbored a lot of malice towards this wolf mink.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t have proposed to actively attack its own kind.

A bit further in the shadows,

the red fox was lurking, slowly sneaking to the side of the wolf mink.

Was this an attempt to attack both openly and covertly?

Chen Wen was further back.

His eyes glowed faintly yellow, a special effect of Extreme Vision without Disguise.

However, the drone was left charging at the camp by Chen Wen, so no one could see the change in his eyes at this moment.

Ahead,

the wolf mink and King Kong encountered each other.

Both were ferocious animals, with no padding or communication.

At the moment they met, the invading wolf mink launched an attack on King Kong.

King Kong raised its paw for a flurry of slaps, much like a tiger’s playful slap, catching the wolf mink off guard.

However, the damage from a slap was limited.

After being slapped, the wolf mink was lightly injured, yet this set of attacks triggered its ferocity.

It let out a growl and pounced at the King Kong before it.

Trying to knock King Kong to the ground, then seize the opportunity to bite King Kong’s neck.

But King Kong’s stamina was more abundant than the wolf mink’s.

After all, Chen Wen had just fed it some bear meat.

Not only did it avoid being knocked down by the wolf mink, it even used its more abundant strength to pin the wolf mink to the ground with its claws.

Sensing a perfect opportunity to attack,

King Kong also let out a ferocious growl, biting down on the wolf mink’s vulnerable neck.

The wolf mink let out a wail of pain.

It twisted its body with effort and flung the advantage-holding King Kong off.

Just as the wolf mink was about to escape,

taking advantage of the fight between the two wolf minks, the red fox quietly moved into the attack range.

It leaped out from the dark shrubbery, taking advantage of its plan to successfully knock the wolf mink to the ground.

Then, in an effort to expand its victory,

it followed the blood scent to bite where King Kong had previously bitten.

But just at this moment,

the wolf mink sensed the crisis of life and death and immediately started its desperate struggle.

It bit back quickly, even faster than the red fox.

This bite firmly clamped down on the base of the red fox’s left foreleg.

The red fox howled in pain.

The pain instinctively made the red fox want to escape.

It struggled to escape to the side, but the wolf mink’s grip was too firm.

Seeing that the wolf mink was about to tear a piece of flesh from the red fox,

just as King Kong was about to come to the rescue,

from the darkness,

accompanied by a dull sound cutting through the air,

a metallic glistening object shot forward.

Seeing this, King Kong immediately realized that Chen Wen had intervened.

But from such a distance, would that dangerous thing not hurt the red fox?

King Kong’s worry was clearly unnecessary.

The long spear cut through the air,

ending with a perfect arc, it precisely pinned the wolf mink to the ground.

The extreme pain made the wolf mink release its jaws and emit a dying scream.

For small-to-medium predators, if hit by Chen Wen’s long spear,

as long as it’s not on the limbs or tail, it’s almost equivalent to a direct heart shot.

Muscles and internal organs were torn by the spear, blood gushing out along the blood groove.

Hemorrhagic shock from massive blood loss claimed the wolf mink’s life.

Once the wolf mink became completely motionless,

Chen Wen finally stepped out of the shadows.

Within thirty meters, hitting wherever he points!

This was Chen Wen’s spear skill after long-term specialized training!

Emerging from the darkness, Chen Wen first found King Kong.

This guy was pretty rugged.

After all that fighting with the wolf mink, it only lost a few tufts of fur.

Casually bestowing a blessing from the Animal Doctor, Chen Wen then found the red fox.

The red fox was a bit more seriously injured.

It was presently licking its wound on a side.

Chen Wen checked the red fox’s injury.

It wasn’t life-threatening, but it sure would hurt for several days.

”Seeing how you two cooperated, I think there’s room for more practice.”

As he spoke, Chen Wen also granted a blessing from the Animal Doctor to the red fox.

However, since he had previously extracted entries from them, there were no new entries this time.

Upon hearing Chen Wen’s words, the red fox nodded.

It was fully aware that without Chen Wen, it would take much more effort for the two of them to take down this wolf mink.

And it would definitely end up more seriously injured.

”What should we do?”

The red fox asked.

Chen Wen pondered for a moment, then replied, ”Firstly, your coordination is a bit stiff, which is unavoidable. You’ll see improvement through more joint hunting. Besides, make good use of communication skills. You both have an innate talent for communication, and it’s crucial to use this in hunting.”

”Secondly, there’s a problem with task distribution. Red fox, you shouldn’t engage in a direct fight with the wolf mink, as your combat power is still weak. Instead, you should focus on harassment on the side, letting King Kong handle the main combat force for direct attacks, same goes for hunting. You keep an eye on the periphery to prevent prey from escaping, while letting King Kong go and fight the prey.”

”These two points are the most serious, and improving them should make your hunts much easier.”

On hearing this, the red fox nodded slightly.

It seemed to have understood something.

It can only be said that it befits a creature noted for cunning, quickly catching on.

Whereas for King Kong,

it sat on the ground daydreaming, not sure if it had understood.

Chen Wen didn’t mind either, as long as the red fox understood.

The existence of the red fox was more like giving King Kong, the brute, an external brain.

Finishing with the pair, Chen Wen walked over to the dead wolf mink.

This creature... he truly didn’t enjoy eating it!

Not to mention the bad taste, the meat quality was the worst.

But it would be too wasteful to throw it away.

After pulling out the long spear, Chen Wen planned to smoke the wolf mink to store it.

Use it as an emergency when there’s nothing else to eat.

...

On the program team’s side,

compared to Chen Wen’s constant focus on the two animals’ performance, the program team was shocked by Chen Wen’s display.

”Twenty meters, in darkness, long spear shooting a wolf mink!”

The guide murmured a few key words in disbelief.

After all, Chen Wen’s performance was nothing short of extraordinary!

Yet, he himself was unaware of this fact!

”How did he do it?”

Another guide asked, astonished.

No one had an answer.

Even Director Greg was a bit at a loss at this point.

He always thought Chen Wen was impressive, but not to this extent!
