Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 548: Chapter 407: Eating Pokémon!?

Tetsuya and Baimu parted ways.

They agreed to have dinner at the former’s house tomorrow and exchanged contact information.

”So enthusiastic, anyone who doesn’t know might think I lost.”

He watched Tetsuya’s departing figure with admiration.

Winning without arrogance and losing without discouragement, although this person isn’t particularly strong, his demeanor is quite remarkable. I hope to have a chance to battle Tetsuya’s Booty Cat in the future.

Baimu has always had an interest in Pokémon with such ”atypical” traits.

Of course, this only applies to physical atypicalities, not personality ones.

For instance, this persistent fellow—

Aerial Rotom.

”Isn’t Rotom amazing! Isn’t it not troublesome at all, Rotom!”

Buzzing around Baimu like an annoying mosquito, it occasionally drew the attention of passersby.

But most of their gazes fell on the Porygon crazily chasing the Aerial Rotom because they’ve never seen anything so fascinating.

”Plink! Plink!”

The furious Porygon was trying to chase away the Aerial Rotom. It had long been displeased with Pokémon like Rotom, and with its repeated entanglements, the moderate and good-natured Porygon’s anger was ignited.

During the examination, it shook the Pokeball vigorously, leaving Baimu no choice but to release it.

Then began a performance of the Qin King’s circling of the pillar.

Considering their size difference, it was like a ”puppy” barking after a ”bird”... or a ”duck” chasing a ”fly”?

Baimu disregarded the Aerial Rotom’s noise, faintly hearing the conversation of passersby.

”Mom! Such a cute building block duck! It’s so big! And it moves!”

”Yeah, it’s amazing~ What kind of machinery is inside it~?”

”I want one!”

”Eh? We already have so many toys at home, we can’t buy more!”

”I want it! I want it! Wah—”

The little kid theatrically lying on the ground scared the Aerial Rotom and Porygon, and Baimu, internally commenting that Porygon isn’t a toy, took the opportunity to catch the two.

He didn’t want to be a pillar anymore.

”Wh-what are you doing? A violent protest, Rotom! This isn’t a battle arena, Rotom!”

The Aerial Rotom thought it was about to be beaten, its gourd-like head struggled fiercely, trying to escape his grasp.

Baimu said, ”Stop pestering me, and I’ll let you go.”

”No way, Rotom!”

”Huh!?” ”Plink!?”

The Porygon acted as if it was ready for a collision.

”Eek!”

The Aerial Rotom nervously glanced at Baimu and the Porygon, both of whom looked quite displeased, and replied, ”...Then you have to make sure it doesn’t chase me anymore, Rotom.”

”If you behave, why would it chase you? What do you think of my Porygon?”

”Plink!”

The man and Pokémon sang in unison.

The Aerial Rotom averted its gaze, ”Alright, I promise, Rotom.”

So it regained its freedom.

But it was clear that this fellow intended to break its word, as its four small rotors whirled to put some distance and prepared to start shouting.

”Haven’t I told you many times that Rotom is amazing? Why keep pestering me?”

Baimu cut off its words, gazing at the distant battleground, where several unmanned engineering robots were at work, moving soil to fill the massive pit dug by the Steelix.

Judging by the orange paint and the comical big face on the side, these engineering machines were obviously operated by Rotom.

Being able to use Rotom to such an extent, Tie Xuan truly deserved to be the top all-around engineer capable of creating New Mauville, Li Mauville, and the mechanized Divine Beast-laden areas.

Impressive indeed.

The Aerial Rotom protested upon hearing his words, ”So perfunctory! Not sincere enough, Rotom!”

Damn perfunctory.

This guy... could it be so bored that it came over just to hassle him?

He squinted his eyes, sensing that Pokémon like Rotom might become bored out of their minds, like when it attacked the computer systems in Luozi Mansion in Twilight Wings and ended up getting harshly countered by another tech-savvy human.

Suddenly.

The bell rang.

Baimu looked at the clock tower where the sound came from and asked, ”It’s almost six in the evening, don’t you Rotoms get off work?”

”Off work?”

The Aerial Rotom was suddenly taken aback, then looked at the distant clock, exclaiming, ”Ah! It’s six o’clock, six o’clock! I’m going to miss dinner! Six o’clock—”

As it shouted and turned to fly away, it showed that just a while ago, it was so determined, but now it just ran off.

This clearly confirmed his earlier suspicion even more.

Need to file a complaint!

Find Tie Xuan directly tomorrow to complain!

Baimu resolved silently, while his peripheral vision suddenly caught sight of the engineering robots at the distant repair site also suddenly jolting, yet their work speed visibly increased.

In every movement, they seemed to embody the saying—

[Lack of enthusiasm for eating indicates a mindset problem!]

”Let’s go eat too.”

Baimu turned to Porygon and said.

”Plink~”

Porygon nodded, its eyes curved into crescents, as long as Rotom wasn’t around, its mood improved significantly.

Two inherently conflicting Pokémon...

He couldn’t help but sigh, even though their attributes were different, their similar special abilities made them clash, much like the saying, ”Why was Zhu born when Liang was already here.”

Though from his perspective, he hoped Porygon wouldn’t mind such things, but how could it not?

The thing you excel at is done better by others, and it has even gained general acceptance.

The position the other is in is the one the creator hoped you would reach...

Even a generally well-adjusted adult wouldn’t be able to take this, right?
