Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 544: Chapter 405: Nuclear Explosion Site

Want to switch?

No.

Steelix is still in good condition, there’s no need to switch.

Baimu shifted his gaze to the Metagross that had just appeared and was the first to give a command, ”Sandstorm.”

Due to the rarity of this Pokémon, it’s the first time today he’s facing Metagross in battle, and in the animations, Metagross is usually strong in both special and physical attacks.

To be safe, it’s necessary to set up something special.

”Roar~!”

Steelix let out a low, muffled roar, rising back into the air. As its steel bones rotated sideways, a large amount of sand blew out from the gaps in its joints, enveloping it and spreading outwards.

In an instant, a sand tornado formed, casting a hazy yellow filter over the field from both sides.

The situation could be seen vaguely but not clearly.

Tetsuya, who lost the initiative due to the switch, felt a chill. If it were a concentrated sandstorm, it might be resolvable, but such a large-scale scattered sandstorm couldn’t be dispelled even with the power of Metagross.

It had to be allowed to swirl within the field.

However, since neither he nor Baimu could see clearly, they were in the same situation.

Upon realizing this, Tetsuya felt much more at ease and quickly said, ”Bullet Fist!”

”Meda!”

Metagross’s form flickered, and like a bronze disc, it sped forward with such speed that the movement of its four arms and legs couldn’t be seen, crossing more than ten meters in an instant to approach Steelix.

”So fast!”

The onlookers, affected by the sandstorm and unable to see clearly, exclaimed in surprise. To them, Metagross’s movement speed was like a flash.

The various priority moves depicted in the animation usually symbolize acceleration. One reason the creators refused to change Pikachu’s Lightning Flash was that they saw it as similar to a high-speed movement to approach the enemy.

Baimu also thought Metagross was fast, but not fast enough to escape the dynamic vision of him and Steelix.

”Quicksand Hell!”

”Roar!”

Steelix raised its head, and the already rotating horizontal steel bones suddenly accelerated, spewing out an even more exaggerated brown-yellow quicksand. As Metagross approached, it again formed a contracting sand tornado!

Metagross’s red eyes moved, and as it leapt up, its right forearm, covered in a shiny silver color, shot forward like a bullet with a ”boom”!

Boom! Poof!

A heavy muffled sound, followed by the sound of a hydrogen balloon bursting.

”Meda!”

The brown-yellow sand rushed in, forcing Metagross to quickly retreat after landing.

In that strike just now, it felt as if its Bullet Fist had plunged into a substance with extremely strong resistance, dispersing about seventy to eighty percent of its force.

Tetsuya couldn’t help but grit his teeth, ”Quicksand Hell’s protective shield?”

He wasn’t inexperienced and immediately saw that Steelix used the contraction and high spin speed of Quicksand Hell to twist the punch’s force, greatly weakening what would have been a significant damage from Bullet Fist.

He initially thought Steelix had shown its full capabilities when battling Donphan earlier, but it had hidden this move...

To counter such a precise technique, one must use absolute strength!

He shouted, ”Strong Mental Will!”

Metagross’s facial X-structure lit up with a blue light, and invisible spiritual power quickly spread over Steelix, but instead of attempting to manipulate the latter’s body, it attached to the spinning sandstorm.

”Just like that! Push it back!”

”Meda!”

Metagross emitted a loud roar, forcing the sandstorm created by Quicksand Hell to tighten continuously, aiming for Steelix’s move to attack itself.

Baimu naturally wouldn’t allow this offensive to succeed, ”High-speed Spin! Push back Quicksand Hell!”

”Roar!”

Steelix rotated its horizontal steel bones with force, the fierce wind sounding like thunder, rumbling as the tightened sandstorm around it began to spread again, causing the ground attribute energy transformed into quicksand to collide with spiritual power.

Eventually, like two ignited bombs, they suddenly exploded!

Boom!

Thick smoke rose, dispelling partially the surrounding swirling sandstorm, but soon the wind and sand drove it away again.

Despite the failed tactic, Tetsuya’s face showed no disappointment. Whether the Quicksand Hell successfully countered Steelix or exploded, he still gained significantly, since Metagross wasn’t within the explosion range of the move.

Not to mention, after this strike, Steelix had already fallen from the sky and landed on the ground.

The attack signal was sounded!

”High-speed Movement!”

Metagross flickered, quickly appearing beside Steelix. The dust clouds gradually dispersed by the wind and sand were swept away by its movement.

But as soon as its gaze was met, it disappeared again, reappearing on the other side. Its ghostly and nimble actions made it hard to imagine that this creature was a half-ton metal monster.

Steelix, unable to capture the enemy’s exact position, dared not return to the sky, as its slow speed would easily create opportunities for the enemy.

And Tetsuya understood that his opponent’s powerful skills must be assisted by its head, so avoiding its front would significantly increase his chances of winning!

”Lying on the Ground Spinning Ball!”

”Frozen Fist!”

Their commands were almost issued simultaneously.

The onlooking crowd near Baimu was stunned upon hearing the command.

Lying on the Ground Spinning Ball?

What Ghost?

They then saw Steelix suddenly thrust the iron spike on its tail into the ground, the three horizontal steel bones on its upper body glowing faintly blue, forming three shining rings as they quickly spun.

At the same time, it lowered its raised upper body to the ground, using the iron spike in its tail as a pivot point, and swept the ground in a circular shape while its steel bones spun at high speed!
