Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 524: Chapter 395: Armaldo?

As Aggron gradually becomes familiar with and masters Super Evolution.

Baimu’s confidence swells unprecedentedly.

After all.

Mega Aggron is truly strong!

Not only has it experienced significant increases in various ability values, but its attribute energy has also reached an inexhaustible level. The silvery steel armor that almost covers its entire body transforms it into a moving metal fortress, with combat power increasing geometrically.

If he didn’t suspect that the Phantom Tower resides in an alternate space, and with its miraculous self-repairing powers, he would probably try to have Mega Aggron dismantle the tower.

Alice was puzzled by what he said.

”Push it over? Push what over?”

”I mean just walk straight through without caring—I’m kidding.”

Baimu waved his hand, saying, ”Let’s try a bit, maybe we can figure out the triggering mechanism’s pattern.”

Adventure is adventure, but it’s best not to recklessly throw one’s life away.

”Alright.”

Alice had no objections whatsoever.

Although she felt that without a certain number, the Pokémon stone statues posed no real threat, it was better to avoid unnecessary fights.

In battle, changes happen in an instant, and no one can predict what will occur.

”Then let’s continue.”

Not wanting to waste time, Baimu commanded Mawile to use Passing the Baton to switch back into the Pokeball and send out Hydreigon, ”It’s up to you, fly over carefully and see what’s ahead. Remember to use Defend in time.”

The increase from Sword Dance had not yet ended, inheriting it may aid in the battles they might face.

Seeing this, Alice quickly sent out Dragonite, ”Dragonite, you go too!”

”Sha sa!”

”Roar!”

Hydreigon took the lead in flying forward, while the following Dragonite looked at its back, a spark of battle desire flaring in its heart, but it quickly died down.

It knew it was not the right time for a battle.

The two dragons flew one after the other in the continuously narrowing earthen tunnel.

Far behind, Baimu and Alice carefully observed the situation in the tunnel, suddenly noticing that as Dragonite flew past, a red light flashed on the left wall.

”On the left!”

The two shouted in unison.

The sand and dirt in the wall quickly rose up, swiftly forming into a tan-colored Armaldo with red eyes, so lifelike that one might suspect it to be a living Armaldo.

But before it could do anything, Dragonite suddenly delivered a lightning-fast punch to its head!

Boom!

Under the blinding thunder, gravel exploded, and the Ancient Armor Stone Statue, now headless, froze in place.

The poised Hydreigon silently lowered its left and right heads.

”Smash the head and it stops moving?”

Baimu was stunned, looking toward Alice. The latter nodded, indicating that all the Pokémon stone statues would cease to act if their heads were smashed.

He shouted, ”See if there’s anything strange dropped on the ground!”

In the ”head” of the Ancient Armor Stone Statue, perhaps there was a core controlling it. Otherwise, how could something entirely made of sand and dirt stop moving just because its head was smashed?

Simulated zombies?

Hydreigon scanned the ground but found no foreign objects, instead witnessing the sand and gravel on the ground seemingly coming to life and flowing back to the Ancient Armor Stone Statue.

The shattered gravel head was repairing itself at a speed visible to the naked eye.

”Sha sa!”

”I spotted it.”

Baimu responded to Hydreigon’s roar.

He was just speculating whether the creature’s head contained a core, only to be proven wrong so quickly—unless it wasn’t reshaping based on a core as a ”golem.”

Fortunately, as Alice described, the creature was repairing itself at a rather slow pace.

He glanced at his watch; at this rate, it seemed the Ancient Armor would be fully restored in just two minutes.

Speaking of which, why didn’t the wall react when Hydreigon flew past, but when Dragonite went by, it triggered the statue mechanism?

Flying too fast to notice? Or maybe it did react, but more slowly?

”Come back~”

Baimu called Hydreigon back.

According to Alice, as long as they left this level, the Pokémon stone statues would return to their original positions—at least it was like that in the second and third layers.

At the beginning of the fourth layer, it was similar when they hadn’t retrieved the fossils. But once they took the fossils, these creatures’ movement patterns changed, even if she fell into a trap and landed at the very bottom with her bag on the fourth floor, these creatures would follow her all the way.

Go back down a level and then return to refresh and search for the trigger mechanisms’ cause.

He shared his plan with Alice, who didn’t mind at all, also calling Dragonite back.

Unexpectedly, before returning, Dragonite gave a stern look at the nearly healed Ancient Armor Stone Statue.

”Roar!”

It quickly began throwing a barrage of punches, and amid the flashing of thunder, the Ancient Armor Stone Statue’s upper body was smashed into rubble, smoke and dust filling the tunnel.

”Your Dragonite is quite fierce.”

He waved away the drifting dust and turned to speak.

No wonder it was officially dubbed the Little Overlord Dragonite. Earlier, Elder Qing Liu had always said his Hydreigon was fierce; who knows how he’d comment if he saw this Dragonite.

”Ahahaha...”

Alice awkwardly chuckled, looking helplessly at the returning Dragonite.

The two of them, along with their three Pokémon, went down and then back up.

Sure enough, the Ancient Armor Stone Statue had vanished, the tunnel so clean it seemed as though no one had ever been there.

This time.

Baimu intended to have Hydreigon venture solo to test whether the mechanism wouldn’t react to it, or if there was some other reason.

”Sha sa~”

Hydreigon nodded and flew forward, neither fast nor slow.
