Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 527: Chapter 396: Root Fossil (Part 2)

At this moment, Baimu and Alice had already turned away and slipped away, heading towards the predetermined trap.

”Angularization!”

He shouted, and Porygon immediately turned into a hammer and flew over, first smashing the cracked ground with a bang, allowing the two to jump down smoothly.

A mere four or five meters of height is really not much for people in the Pokémon World.

They repeated the process on the second floor.

In less than two minutes, the two had already arrived at the ”door.”

Though the door wasn’t opened yet, the sound of wind and sand raging outside could faintly be heard, unlike the earlier eerie silence.

”Phew~ They still seem to be on the fourth floor.”

Alice exhaled and looked up at the ceiling.

The plan wasn’t as striking when it was being made, but actual execution felt incredibly impactful to her spirit.

If she had returned alone to pick up her luggage, she would probably still be chased by numerous Pokémon Stone Statues, and it would take great luck to reach the bottom in time.

But now, not only had they distanced themselves from the Pokémon Stone Statues, but they were about to go outside.

This was truly inconceivable for Alice, who was always running for her life.

So amazing!

She looked at Baimu with admiration in her eyes.

And if Baimu knew her thoughts at this moment, he would probably just think about how many unreliable people she had met to find such a cautious little plan impressive.

”The door is open!”

Baimu shouted, pulling Alice back to reality.

The once solid earth wall suddenly crumbled into sand, transforming into a portal emitting a blinding white light.

The door was open.

The Pokémon Stone Statues were out of sight...

The two took one last look at the magical Phantom Tower and stepped out.

The white light flickered before their eyes, and after a moment they were greeted with a sky full of yellow sand. In the distance, on a high slope, there was the Sandstorm Generator Steelix, which immediately stopped the rotation of its lateral steel bones and started swimming towards them when it saw the trainers coming out.

Alice happily waved at it, ”Big——”

Suddenly.

Her strong sixth sense instinctively turned her head, witnessing the enormous Phantom Tower collapse and shatter from above, sending a rain of sand and gravel crashing down like a wall.

Rumble!

”Danger!”

Her actions always quicker than her thoughts, she started moving, even wanting to grab Baimu’s hand, but it’s clear that at her leg speed, she wouldn’t be able to dodge it.

”Hold tight! High-speed Movement! Gyro Ball!”

A urgent shout was heard, and she felt her arm being suddenly pulled onto something smooth, her body was yanked with great force, followed by a silver light flashing before her eyes and another terrifying rumble sounding beside her ears.

Bang!

Alice looked up and saw the Mega Steelix spinning its lateral steel bones, smashing the sand and stones that were above them. When she looked down, she saw her hand had unknowingly grabbed Porygon’s tail.

Baimu was holding Porygon’s foot with one hand and the Fraxure’s fang like a dart with the other.

The next moment.

They successfully escaped outside the collapsing range of the Phantom Tower. Porygon like a drift, suddenly ended up on the high slope, dragging the two people and one Pokémon to the ground.

The dense smoke and dust shot straight up into the sky, but a glimpse of a silver giant shadow could be seen within it.

Baimu and Alice both let out a sigh of relief, experiencing the feeling of surviving a disaster.

”Are you okay?”

”I’m fine, thank you!”

The two checked each other’s condition, such as making sure they weren’t injured.

The collapse of the Phantom Tower had been too sudden, honestly, Baimu had thought that after the fossil left, it would disappear again like in the game, not collapse directly.

Luckily, they had Steelix and Porygon.

”Your driving skills are getting better, aren’t they?”

He patted the sand off his hands and praised Porygon.

”Pori~”

Porygon happily wiggled its legs, never expecting that the driving skills it painstakingly learned would prove useful in saving the trainer, it was simply fantastic.

The Mega Steelix emerged from the dust and didn’t seem to have suffered any damage.

Shortly.

The dust settled down.

The two looked at the Phantom Tower that had completely turned into a pile of yellow sand, feeling a bit indescribably strange inside, given that they were just adventuring inside it not long ago.

”Ah! The fossils!”

Alice suddenly remembered the reason they went through great effort to reclaim their luggage, she opened the backpack and took out two fossils from inside, ”As promised, I’ll give you one! Choose one!”

Baimu turned his head and saw the claw fossil and the stem fossil, just like in the game.

They were well preserved, and the fossil bodies showed no signs of damage.

He took out his phone and asked, ”Mind if I consult a professional?”

”A professional?”

”Yes, I plan to give it to someone.”

Baimu nodded, and after getting Alice’s approval, he took pictures of the two fossils and sent them to Laisa in Kanaz City.

Undoubtedly, he planned to give the fossil as a gift to Da Wu.

After all, he had benefited greatly from Da Wu’s care, and aside from letting him study the Wishing Star, he hadn’t really given anything back in a tangible way.

It just didn’t seem right.

They say gifts don’t have to be about hidden agendas, sending something the other person likes during holidays can help maintain and enhance relationships.

It’s about suiting their tastes.

As for keeping it himself... honestly, rather than reviving a Fossil Pokémon and start training it from scratch, it would be better to use the Pokémon clues he had accumulated earlier.

That would be his destined Pokémon.

The phone vibrated, a reply from Laisa was there.

Laisa: ’...Don’t tell me this is a fossil you discovered.’

Baimu: ’Technically, someone else discovered them, but they told me to pick a fossil casually. Which one do you think would suit Mr. Da Wu better? I’d like to give it to him as a gift.’

Laisa: ’Ah—Arceus above! How is there someone like you who explodes with luck! How many days has it been? Two weeks? Or just one week? How many good things have you come across!’

This researcher lady seemed to be ”blown away” by his showcasing, starting to spam bleeding knife emojis.

Like a gacha mobile gamer who, after spending all their savings still didn’t get what they wanted, suddenly received a newbie’s single draw asking if the drawn item was any good.

Baimu: ’Cough cough, Miss Laisa?’

Laisa: ’Don’t call me Miss Laisa! I’m not worthy! I don’t deserve to have your line number, will delete it right away...’

Baimu: ’No no no... Can’t I just give you a nice stone next time?’

This person had been helping him identify items free of charge for so long, always replying within a minute, giving a little gift seemed fair.

Laisa: ’Really?’

Baimu: ’Absolutely.’

Laisa: ’Alright... No wait! You punk, you’re showing off, right? What do you mean ”next time”? You think good stones are like pebbles found on the roadside?’

Baimu: ’I really didn’t mean that, let’s focus on the issue at hand, which one has a better condition?’

Laisa: ’...The stem fossil, the one on the left. Its structure is complete, perfect condition, and the shape is very good too. If this was seen by a knowledgeable fossil collector, it would probably sell for millions. Upon hatching, you’ll get a Cradily, a Pokémon Da Wu really likes.’

Baimu: ’Okay, thanks, I’ll repay you generously next time.’

Laisa: ’If the generous repayment is showing off stones, I’ll stab you, seriously.’

Scary, indeed.

He put away his phone and looked up to find Alice interacting with Porygon and Steelix.

Although she knew Porygon wasn’t a Dragon Attribute Pokémon, she didn’t despise it for that, instead she became more curious as Porygon displayed its strength.

”I’ll take this one.”

Baimu picked up the stem fossil from the ground and shook it.

”Alright~”

Alice said nothing and slipped the other fossil into her bag.

Dusk was approaching.

They had been thrown around inside the Phantom Tower for almost two hours. If they didn’t hurry, they’d inevitably have to camp out in the desert, which was not part of Baimu’s plan.

”I’m planning to head south to the Pokémon Center, what do you say? Where are you going next?”

He asked.

Alice looked around and laughed awkwardly, ”I plan to go to Meteor Falls... To be honest, I got lost here while chasing Flygon, and really don’t know where to go.”

”Having a phone and not knowing where to go...”

Baimu was at a loss for words about this person’s poor sense of direction, ”Then let’s stay at the Pokémon Center for the night, we’ll deal with everything tomorrow.”

”Yes yes!”

Alice nodded quickly.
