Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 522: Chapter 394: Dragon’s Heart

After saying this.

Alice noticed Baimu frowning slightly and hurriedly explained, ”I’m just guessing, because you prepared food specifically for Dragon-type Pokémon, and there’s a Dragon-type Pokémon scent on you...”

Scent?

Impressive.

But as a character who was first shown in the animation to have a passionate enthusiasm for Dragon-type Pokémon, Alice not only empathizes with Dragon Pokémon — fearing the cold, she even chased a Rayquaza flying across the sky all the way to the Hoenn Region.

Having this little skill is quite normal, plus the skills she knows aren’t just limited to these.

”No worries.”

Baimu didn’t intend to hide anything. Frowning was just a subconscious action when he thought, and he raised his hand to open a Pokeball.

”Roar!”

Hydreigon appeared, and its massive black body emanated an oppressive aura akin to intimidation, immediately catching the attention of an Aggressive Dragonite, whose face quickly scrunched up.

However, its Trainer reacted faster.

”Wow! Hydreigon! What a cute child!”

Alice put down her spoon and bowl, and enthusiastically pounced onto Hydreigon, rubbing her cheeks against its furry neck and chest, ”So fluffy! So soft! And it smells lovely! So you were the source of that smell!”

”Roar?”

Hydreigon, usually the one doing the rubbing, was caught off guard and looked at her in a flustered manner, then turned its head to look at the Trainer beside it.

”Roar, roar!”

Help, help!

Baimu merely gave it a helpless look and quietly observed.

Suddenly.

This Dragon-cancer Maiden looked up, staring blankly at Hydreigon. The latter, not knowing the situation, looked increasingly embarrassed and couldn’t bear to meet her gaze.

After a while, she suddenly smiled brightly, ”What a gentle child~ In its heart, it’s always saying it likes the Trainer the most, so adorable~”

”Roar!?”

Hydreigon looked at her, utterly shocked, as if asking how she knew what it was thinking.

Alice chuckled softly, then somewhat shyly turned to Baimu beside her and said, ”Sorry, I got a bit too excited... You might not believe it, but I can understand the feelings of Dragon-type Pokémon and convey my thoughts to them.

”Sometimes, I can also see their past memories. Ah, but rest assured, I won’t casually invade others’ privacy!”

She frantically raised her hands, shaking them vigorously.

Not to mention the abrupt exposure of her special ability, she could have easily hidden part of it to avoid misunderstanding, yet she chose to reveal everything and then hurriedly explained...

Is honesty without guile a standard trait for the protagonist’s group?

Perhaps it also has to do with being trusted.

”Of course, I believe you. I know about your story in Dragon Land.”

Baimu waved at Hydreigon, which promptly hid behind the Trainer, peeking out its heads from three places with a vigilant expression.

”Did you hear it from Brother Wu?” Alice asked curiously.

He replied, ”Sort of.”

Actually, with hands glowing like light bulbs just now, claiming not to have special abilities is more worthy of suspicion.

On the other hand, Baimu was truly curious about the ability Alice possessed.

In the animation, it was attributed to her talent, but Alice didn’t display this ability until the episode where she captured a powerful Dragonite, so perhaps it could be learned later?

He was fascinated by such a mind-connecting ability.

About past memories.

Baimu wasn’t worried that his secrets would be exposed, not to mention Hydreigon was blind for a long time in the past, and viewing things from his perspective was entirely different from viewing them from Hydreigon’s.

Memories aren’t reality; they add various special filters based on emotions and perception, creating a series of unusual subjective visuals.

For example, in Hydreigon’s eyes, if it had read shoujo manga, he’d likely be glowing with many flowers blooming around; if it had read shonen manga, then during the previous battle, Aggron would surely be a fearsome black-aura-emitting monster.

Memories can be deceiving.

”It seems you aren’t aware that it also came from Dragon Land.” Baimu patted the top of Hydreigon’s head.

Alice was indeed very surprised, ”Eh?”

Upon learning about Hydreigon’s past experiences, while indignant, she was also relieved, ”So such things happened, but luckily everyone was rescued.”

”Indeed.”

He glanced at the Dragonite and other Pokémon that hadn’t finished eating and asked Alice for detailed information about her special ability.

Since the animation team hadn’t named it, Baimu tagged it with the name [Dragon’s Heart] according to his habit.

After all, this special ability’s effect is to read the thoughts, emotions, and memories of Dragon-type Pokémon and convey one’s own thoughts back, connecting hearts at all times.

And when Alice learned that Baimu yearned to have the [Dragon’s Heart], she responded bewilderedly, ”Well, I’m not really sure either...”

”No worries, I know some things can’t be forced, just thought I’d try my best if there’s a chance.”

He waved his hand.

Logically, they both belong to the Dragon People, possibly family thousands or tens of thousands of years ago, so there’s no reason Alice can do it and he cannot, but if it really doesn’t work, so be it.

He’ll continue hoping the simulator will bestow him a Blue Talent as a Wave Guide Messenger or Superpower User.

Before long.

Alice and her Pokémon finally finished lunch and even proactively washed the dishes.

Baimu got up and said, ”Let’s go, let’s head to the Phantom Tower to retrieve your bag.”
