Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 545: Chapter 405: Nuclear Explosion Site (Part 2)

The ground trembles and dust rises in its wake, truly terrifying!

Faced with such a fierce attack, Metagross fearlessly raises its right arm, encased in a chilling aura that forms an ice crystal-like hammer, striving to smash into the Steelix rolling towards it with intense momentum!

Technique collides with technique!

Hiss—Boom!

After a teeth-gritting screech, comes the muffled roar of smoke exploding!

Both sides are pushed back several meters by the impact of the explosion, with flames and smoke covering everything, mixed with drifting sand.

Tetsuya looks gravely at the battlefield, completely unexpected that he has been forced to this extent by a Steelix.

Smoke churns.

Suddenly, Metagross crashes through the sandy haze and retreats to his front, seemingly unharmed in appearance. However, this round of exchange has completely proven Steelix’s toughness.

It seems a head-on confrontation is still necessary.

Not far away.

Baimu observes the faintly visible Steelix in the smoke, noting its slight panting, and his heart stirs with an already formed strategy.

”Digging.”

Meanwhile, a subtle sound comes.

”Upright Comet Fist!”

Light flickers in the smoke.

In the next moment.

He sees Metagross merging its fists into a siege hammer, suddenly piercing through the dust, silver-blue light trailing behind like a dazzling comet, pulling a radiant comet tail behind it, stirring up dust with a thunderous boom!

Bang!!

The ground shakes violently.

Metagross’s Comet Fist surges forward with an upward arc, crashing into Steelix’s nail-like tail, then swiftly skimming across to a distant point before sharply reversing direction.

Boom!

The smoke bursts open and quickly dissipates.

Yet the latter vanishes without a trace, leaving only a massive pit in the field, clearly showing Metagross hit Steelix’s tail because it had long burrowed underground like a fish diving into water.

The strong wind drowns out Baimu’s commands, but it does not affect Steelix’s understanding and precise execution.

”Digging!”

Tetsuya looks at Baimu, vaguely visible under the sandstorm filter, expecting him to use electromagnetic levitation to escape upwards, but forgot Steelix is adept at burrowing Pokémon and should indeed head underground.

Perhaps the impression of the flying Mega Steelix deeply affected his judgment.

The dust settles.

The enormous pit is exposed to everyone, and by its size, Metagross could dive in for a battle.

But Tetsuya dares not.

Fighting with a ground attribute Pokémon underground? Too unwise.

He shouts: ”Electromagnetic Levitation!”

”Meta!”

Metagross contracts its four limbs, folding them atop its head to levitate, its red eyes scanning the ground for Steelix’s movements.

Yet this creature is too immense, any slight movement causes the entire battlefield to tremble wildly, normal observation methods are useless.

Tetsuya furrows his brows.

Before burrowing down, Steelix’s surface still had traces of yellow lightning, which made him instruct Metagross to use Upright Comet Fist; does electromagnetic levitation still persist now?

As a short-duration technique, he doubts Steelix’s electromagnetic levitation can last endlessly, and if it ends now, the ground attribute technique immunity will also end, even if Steelix doesn’t emerge, Metagross can attack...

Bet on it!

Seeking wealth through danger, he cannot continue wasting time, he must prevent Steelix from pulling tricks underground.

”Earthquake!”

”Meta!”

Metagross, following the trainer’s command, disassembles its folded right fist atop its head, emerging with a soil-yellow glow as it plunges towards the ground with a fierce strike!

Thump!

The ground trembles rapidly, soil-yellow shockwaves sweep outwards, surging sand blocked by invisible high walls, the central space of the technique suddenly clearing.

However.

The next moment, it is covered back by flying sand.

The power of the earthquake is undeniable, especially with the opponent underground, the effect is twice as strong.

But to Tetsuya’s dismay and horror, Steelix is not thrown up by this exceptionally effective earthquake, proving its electromagnetic levitation has not ended, he lost the bet—

How can it last so long!

”Quick, ascend to avoid!”

He knows clearly Metagross’s technique hasn’t worked, so Steelix will surely seize the opportunity to attack.

Indeed, just as his voice falls, a smooth piece of ground nearby explosively shatters!

Boom!

”Pounce.”

The enormous Steelix bursts through the earth, its mountainous form slicing through the sky giving an impression of a collapsing giant, the horizontal steel body rotates, still spraying torrents of sand, the head lights up in a dazzling brown-red hue, extending backward like a crimson dragon!

”Roar!!”

Boom——

The air emitted a dull humming sound!

There was no way to avoid it! Even the moves were hard to keep up!

Give it all you’ve got!

Tetsuya clenched his teeth and shouted loudly, ”Spin and meet it with Bullet Fist!”

”Metagross!”

Metagross spun sideways, having already made the same decision when its Trainer first spoke. The silver heavy fist roared as it collided with the charging Steelix.

Thud!

The dull metallic clash exploded, sending visible shockwaves through the air!

The mighty force from the pounce made Metagross shoot back like a meteor, struggling to stabilize itself mid-air outside the battlefield dozens of meters away.

Meanwhile, Tetsuya and the spectators covered their ears, feeling a ringing and dizzy spell.

A few seconds later.

Smoke dissipated in the wind and sand.

”Roar...”

The Mega Steelix bathed in sandstorm stood firm, panting as it watched the wobbling Metagross fly back.

It must be said that the latter was strong; even the hurried Bullet Fist managed to leave three fine marks on its head, but the counterforce also bent Metagross’s three claws inward, slightly damaging its joint and making it difficult to close.

Overall, Steelix was on the winning side.

However...

Its condition indeed seemed precarious; Steelix was fully aware that the previous battle with Donphan and now frequent clashes with Metagross had left it heavily drained.

The Trainer’s voice sounded in its ear: ”Knock Down!”

”Roar!”

Steelix dared not hesitate, its largest horizontal steel bone quickly spinning, golden sharp stones forming amid the storm, flying towards Metagross!

”Strong Mental Will!”

Revived, Tetsuya shouted.

The X on Metagross’s face glowed blue, the invisible mental wave transformed into a wall, blocking all the incoming golden stones, causing them to shatter upon hitting the ground.

This made Baimu raise an eyebrow slightly.

Taking the pouncing move head-on and still accurately defending against moves? Maybe not expecting to take down Metagross in one blow, but its physical resistance and strong will are commendable. If Knock Down can’t hit, the ground techniques won’t be effective.

Moreover, it’s clear Steelix’s condition is bad, should it be switched out?

”Roar!”

The muffled roar reached Baimu’s ears.

He smiled helplessly and shouted, ”Sharp Stone Attack!”

”Spin and use Arm Hammer!”

Tetsuya also noticed Steelix’s condition, thus deciding to fight with all his might, attempting to take it down as quickly as possible.

Despite some injuries, Metagross, boosted by the High-speed Movement, remained incredibly fast, especially when spinning sideways, more like a speeding spiral.

This cast a halo on its outermost edge, bathed in a brownish-red glow.

Like a bolt of lightning!

In a blink, Metagross was already beside Steelix, fiercely hammering its waist steel bone.

Bang!

”Roar——”

Under the heavy blow, Steelix tilted sideways, like a collapsing mountain, but the numerous sharp stones gathered around its body shot towards Metagross like cannonballs.

Even though Metagross dodged immediately after attacking, it couldn’t avoid such a dense and swift attack.

Bang!

Rocks shattered and smoke drifted away.

”Metagross...”

Metagross fell towards the ground, and Tetsuya relaxed a bit.

He believed that, under the heavy blow of the Arm Hammer, Steelix should be down.

Suddenly.

From the smoke, a thick tail suddenly emerged, forcibly locking Metagross’s injured right arm.

”What!?”

Tetsuya’s eyes widened, and he immediately saw Baimu smiling in the distance.

”Big Explosion.”

In an instant.

Dazzling white light engulfed the entire arena, countless spectators instinctively covered their eyes, soon the thunderous roar echoed across the field!

Boom——!!

As the white light faded.

A terrifying and gigantic fireball, akin to a nuclear explosion, ascended with a towering mushroom cloud rising majestically!
