System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Xie Yuan’an: ”...”

”Why do I feel like you’re being sarcastic?”

Lu Cheng replied, ”I’m being sincere. After all, being temporarily first in the national competition is still first place.”

Xie Yuan’an thought for a moment before replying, ”That’s true.”

”But, you should know, if it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t even have qualified to participate in the national competition!!”

”Alright, I’m going to the tendon suturing track now to wait for my match.”

After ending the conversation, Xie Yuan’an suddenly said, ”A colleague of mine sent me a message saying the scores in the nerve suturing track are really weird.”

”Even the organizers are a bit troubled now.”

Lu Cheng: ”Why???”

”Someone from our hospital participated in the first round, and the examiner gave a score of 99.”

”The full score is only 100, and then in the second round, Hu Yi participated. It’s hard to score, so they don’t know if he’ll break the full score of 100.”

After explaining, Xie Yuan’an said, ”I really need to queue up now, no more chatting.”

Lu Cheng said, ”Then you go ahead.”

Lu Cheng thought to himself, am I the one asking about scores here? You’re the one interested in gossip, right? And after you hear the gossip, you have to share it, okay?

It was only 11:20 in the morning when Zhao Zhaixing’s wife found Lu Cheng, saying they’ve already ordered lunch and told Lu Cheng not to order separately and to eat with them later.

Lu Cheng couldn’t refuse, so he agreed, but he still explained, ”Sis, this isn’t really in compliance with the rules.”

”But since you and Brother Zhao have ordered, I’ll have to take it back to the office to eat later, or if other patients see it, everyone will follow suit, which won’t be good.”

”It’s not a good precedent to set.”

It’s like receiving a banner; once you’ve received one, you’ll soon get a second one.

It’s because the other patients in the same ward see you giving one and feel embarrassed not to or worry you weren’t good enough to them, so they follow suit and give one too.

Giving fruits and such is the same principle.

”That’s fair, you’re in the system, so you need to be mindful of your influence. Besides, I heard your dean even confessed.” Tian Xiaohua casually gossiped.

Dean Peng voluntarily reported his own issues to the inspection team, and it’s no longer a secret but a settled matter.

There’s no wall that doesn’t let the wind through; in a small town where there aren’t many big news stories, this was a major headline.

”We small fries don’t understand leadership issues, all we can do and need to do is our own jobs well.” Lu Cheng replied with a smile.

”Brother Lu, you go be busy, I’ll bring the lunch over to you later.”

”Just now the guy in bed 4 said Brother Lu, you’re lucky enough to operate on Zhao Zhaixing.”

”If you weren’t on duty, they couldn’t have gotten hold of you?”

”Is your director still targeting you so annoyingly?” Tian Xiaohua asked again.

This is the label that Du Qiang has created in the hospital. Not only do colleagues know he’s targeting Lu Cheng, even the patients know that Lu Cheng and Du Qiang don’t get along.

”It’s leadership arrangement!~” Lu Cheng didn’t complain about Du Qiang. He was well aware of Du Qiang’s schemes.

Sichuan Province, Rongcheng!

The National Microsurgery Skills Competition is being carried out in an orderly manner, and the different tracks are bustling with activity.

This is the first nationwide microsurgery skills competition, so it’s quite a hit, with representatives from all walks of life participating.

This includes, but isn’t limited to, recommended spots from top hospitals and strong competitors from different provincial tracks.

At first, both spectators and participants felt the competition was going normally.

But as the competition progressed, people gradually started noticing something odd and amiss.

Because the scores in the different tracks were all peculiarly high!

Tendon Suturing Track:

[First Place, 034, Average Score: 99.7]

[Second Place: 062, Average Score: 95.2]

[Third Place: 088, Average Score: 94.9]

[Fourth Place: 014, Average Score: 94.7]

...

Substantive Organ Suturing Track:

[First Place: 025, Average Score: 99.8]

[Second Place: 042, Average Score: 96.8]

[Third Place: 078, Average Score: 96.2]

[Fourth Place: 111, Average Score: 96.0]

Nerve Suturing Track:

[First Place: 037, Average Score: 99.8]

[Second Place: 074, Average Score: 99.7]

[Third Place: 102, Average Score: 99.7]

[Fourth Place: 026, Average Score: 99.0]

Vascular Suturing Track:

[First Place: 024, Average Score: 99.9]

[Second Place: 035, Average Score: 99.8]

[Third Place: 156, Average Score: 99.8]

[Fourth Place: 085, Average Score: 98.1]

This is a national microsurgery competition. If a particular track had a near-perfect score, it could be explained by a prodigy appearing or a teaching hospital developing a new suturing technique that wasn’t publicized.

After all, many top teaching hospitals have this capability.

But now, all four tracks have near-perfect scores for first place.

Each province only has so many spots to participate, so the identities of people like Xie Yuan’an were quickly tracked down.

Xie Yuan’an, first place in the tendon suturing track and substantive organ suturing track, had results that far surpassed other participants.

Han Yunshen and Hu Yi from Xiangya Hospital, along with others, ranked in the top three in both the nerve and vascular suturing tracks, all with scores nearly reaching 100!

Isn’t that weird?

If you say Xiangya Hospital developed an original technique and simultaneously took the top three spots in two tracks, it could be considered internal absorption.

But Xie Yuan’an taking first in those two tracks solo makes you think about many things.

If Union Hospital developed this good technique, why did only one person participate with it?
