System Came When the Doctor was Thirty

Don’t even mention other things, just in the column of specialist techniques, if Lu Cheng can’t reach the level of an associate chief physician, then the average level of an associate chief physician is terrifyingly high—

[Specialist Techniques: Limb Replantation Surgery (Specialization 20/20), Gallbladder Removal Surgery (Skilled 10/10), Appendectomy (Skilled 10/10), Splenectomy (Skilled 10/10), Spleen Preservation Surgery (Specialization 20/20), Gallbladder Preservation Surgery (Specialization 20/20), Liver Preservation Surgery (Specialization 20/20)]

Skills at the specialization level are definitely not something common; specialist techniques with skilled specialization can potentially surpass those of an associate professor.

With mature surgical techniques, new techniques, and the addition of new suturing techniques enhancing everything, Lu Cheng felt that the overall strength evaluation on the panel was very down-to-earth.

With strength, Lu Cheng naturally wasn’t afraid.

Lu Cheng didn’t mind if his actual skill level exceeded his real-life title, he was just afraid that his actual skill level would be lower than his title, which would make it difficult to mix in.

...

Time flowed like water, and over the next few days, Lu Cheng indeed saw Director Du Qiang’s ’methods’!

When Lu Cheng wasn’t on duty, there wasn’t a single phone call, even if there were patients with tendon injuries, nobody in the department called him.

Let alone any other related injuries.

Lu Cheng, of course, had things to do. When he had free time, he finally had the chance to visit Professor Chen Song.

Professor Chen Song had already prepared the first batch of animal trial models, contacting Lu Cheng and asking him to find time to go to Ji City to perform the first batch of procedures.

Lu Cheng also took time to contact Professor Tong Yuan’an at Xiangya Hospital to confirm a few candidates for learning nerve and blood vessel suturing techniques.

These attending and associate professors were among the first to arrive in Long County to do two things.

The first was to witness firsthand the miracle Lu Cheng created. After all, Lu Cheng had once again invented a completely new blood vessel and nerve technique, which was just TM incredible.

The second was naturally to eagerly seek mentorship.

Even thinking with one’s butt, it was clear that this was a benefit secured by Tong Yuan’an for them, including but not limited to using these techniques to show off in competitions...

With all these benefits, the elder brothers were also learning very actively and diligently.

Of course, based on their active efforts, Lu Cheng roughly understood how a student should please superiors and teachers in a teaching hospital. The arrangements were really comfortable...

Massage, KTV, drinks, meals, everything was available.

Besides that, they proactively approached Lu Cheng, offering to teach Lu Cheng how to write papers, including but not limited to teaching him how to write a meta-analysis, and getting him a couple of borderline third or fourth zone SCI articles.

If Lu Cheng didn’t already have a girlfriend, and their relationship wasn’t going well, he swore these people would definitely drag him into the water...

Compared to these sensible seniors, Xie Yuan’an, who followed Mu Nanshu back to Long County to learn tendon suturing techniques and spleen substantive organ suturing techniques, was much more naive.

Xie Yuan’an only knew to invite Lu Cheng and Mu Nanshu out for meals, with not much else arranged.

Mostly, she and Mu Nanshu would eat, shop, and visit tourist spots when they had the time, even going on one-day food tours to Yu City for hot pot, Sha City for stinky tofu, and Han City for re gan mian...

By the time Lu Cheng was on his fourth surgical duty for the 11th month on November 9th, Zeng Huanqi finally explained to Lu Cheng the situation with Du Qiang in the department.

”Director Du said Lu Cheng would eventually leave, and if you bring those businesses into the department now, who will replace him when he leaves?”

”By then, if we lose the businesses we originally could manage, and the leadership asks for accountability, who will be responsible for it?”

”At that time, should we not transfer patients as we have before?”

”Then, will patients continue to face life risks as they do now?”

”If Lu Cheng is called in every day, the higher-ups will think you can routinely handle such matters!~”

Zeng Huanqi, who was on day duty in the emergency department after dismissing a gastroenteritis patient, said, ”I’ll give it to you, Director Du’s crooked reasoning still has some merit.”

”That’s the way it is within the system: if you can do things, you’ll have endless things to do.”

”But sometimes lying low, and you won’t have so many people causing you trouble.”

The matter of Lu Cheng leaving was already set, something Lu Cheng had openly discussed.

Given that it brought plenty of benefits to the hospital at present, there was no particular objection from the hospital’s perspective.

Moreover, the hospital was already in turmoil, everyone was worried about themselves, and they hadn’t had the leisure to worry about whether Lu Cheng was leaving or not.

Lu Cheng staying only added to the hospital’s success, but if the current issues weren’t handled well, and the inspection team added more trouble, it would be a real ”kick when you’re down”!

Lu Cheng said, ”Brother Zeng, let’s just follow Director Du’s arrangement. In ten days, I have four surgical duties, which isn’t too little.”

”It’s not little, but compared to your previous duty frequency, it’s way less.”

Zeng Huanqi continued, ”Actually, when you’re not on duty, there’s also Professor Tong Yuan’an occasionally on duty, so emergency patients in the hand surgery department are relatively lucky.”

”It’s just...”

”Forget it, I won’t say anymore; it’s fate.”

Zeng Huanqi didn’t continue pressuring Lu Cheng but changed the subject, asking, ”Xiao Lu, I heard you turned down the talent introduction from Xiangzhou and chose to go through the single-log bridge yourself.”

”What were you thinking?”

Lu Cheng replied with a smile, ”My talent introduction doesn’t have the right name or justification, so I’m not bold enough to manipulate it right now.”

”Besides, rights and obligations are relative; although the benefits of talent introduction are good, the service period is also longer.”

”The current contract I signed is just an ordinary contract, and the selection exam is only an internal personnel change within Xiangzhou.”

Zeng Huanqi, who wasn’t stupid, said, ”So, you’re still planning to look for opportunities to transfer out after the service period ends?”

Lu Cheng’s calculations weren’t something everyone couldn’t see through.

Lu Cheng didn’t refute.

Zeng Huanqi said, ”Then you should be cautious when you go to the State for the exam tomorrow.”

”Why so?” Lu Cheng asked.

Zeng Huanqi said, ”In the current situation, with an inspection team present, although the selection exam was arranged in advance and must proceed as planned.”

”But if some people can’t manipulate the inside, they might want to tamper with the outside.”
