Chapter 2533: Chapter 2534: Return to Tianyun (100)

Taoming Ye’s lips instantly tightened, pressing firmly together, his warm eyes revealing a sense of hurt. He originally thought she didn’t mind, but it turns out that she...

”Cough, cough, cough...” Taoming Ye suddenly began to cough violently, no longer holding her, he released her and sat up, coughing alone. His heart was unbearably heavy, causing his coughs to worsen, looking as if he was going to cough until he couldn’t breathe.

Su Xing immediately became anxious: ”Husband, what’s wrong? Husband?”

Taoming Ye wouldn’t let her care for him, still coughing with his back facing her.

Su Xing saw this and knew it was her fault, but: ”Did I say something wrong? Husband? I don’t like at all that you use your schemes on others with me, can’t I feel this way? I just want you to treat me gently, from the marriage until now, haven’t you always treated me gently? Are your gentle gestures towards me all fake?”

After hearing Su Xing’s explanation, Taoming Ye felt less awful inside, yet he continued to cough violently, unable to stop for a while, causing Su Xing to almost cry with anxiety. Only then did his coughing ease, allowing him to speak: ”From the moment I decided to be with you in the wedding chamber until now, I’ve never feigned my feelings towards you.”

Seeing Su Xing’s eyes reddened, he hurriedly held her gently, ”It’s me, it’s my fault, Xin’er, it’s all my fault... I thought you didn’t like me anymore. I revealed everything without restraint, not wanting to experience you disliking me...”

Though Taoming Ye had always been sickly, he had never been so vulnerable, unable to accept even the thought that she might not like him.

”Fool, I never stopped liking you. Didn’t I just say, I simply don’t want you to use your schemes on others with me, that’s all, it means nothing else, don’t think too much.” Then, with tears in her eyes, she hit him, ”You almost scared me to death, just now I thought you were going to die!”

Taoming Ye let her hit him, but held her even tighter. He was actually quite suspicious, yet he particularly trusted her, cared about her deeply, treating her so well. He removed all his disguises, genuinely not wanting to hide anything from her, truly not wishing to earn her disdain and thus lose her.

Luckily, that wasn’t her intention.

Luckily.

Luckily...

Holding Su Xing tightly, Taoming Ye felt a sense of relief.

”I’m not foolish, you had no choice but to act that way, given your situation at the Tao Mansion, how could I dislike you because of that? Do you think the affection I have for you can be retracted just like that?” Su Xing was truly terrified just now, still feeling fearful, even shedding tears.

Seeing Su Xing cry, Taoming Ye felt heartbroken and distressed, tenderly kissing away all her tears. He gently kissed her lips while apologizing, ”I’m sorry... I’m sorry... I’m sorry...”

Her husband was really so tender, like a gentle rain softly falling on her face, landing on her lips, gradually calming her frightened heart.

Once she was calm, she returned his embrace, responding to his kisses.

After a long while, they stopped kissing, sitting quietly together, he holding her, she also holding him, obediently embraced in his arms.

After staying quietly in Taoming Ye’s arms for a long time, Su Xing finally spoke, ”Don’t scare me like that again.”
