Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2531: Chapter 2532: Return to Tianyun (98)

Her father’s face showed no expression...

Su Xing couldn’t help but think of her father, Su Changyi, and then she thought of her other family members in the modern world, which made her feel a bit uncomfortable. However, she didn’t show it on her face but instead smiled and said, ”What kind of strange people have you encountered? You really shouldn’t go out anymore. I’m truly worried about you. Even if you really want to go out, fine, bring me along. I was so worried when I didn’t see you.”

”You have to prepare for next year’s provincial exam, so it’s better not to go out with me.”

”The provincial exam is important, but not as important as you are. Anyway, I don’t care. From now on, you must not leave the mansion without me accompanying you!” Su Xing was particularly domineering.

Taoming Ye wasn’t angry at all. Instead, he felt sweet, and he nodded gently, ”Okay.”

Su Xing immediately happily hugged one of his arms, looked up with a smiling face, and asked, ”How much pig head meat did you buy?”

”I bought two jin, we’ll invite grandma to eat together later.”

”Mm-hmm~” She paused, stopped smiling, and was quite puzzled, ”But my dear, isn’t all the money managed by me? You’ve never asked me for money, so where did you get the money to buy these things?”

It’s really strange. Every time, her husband never asked her for money, and she hadn’t seen that he had any money. She was the one managing it, yet her husband could always buy some things for her.

But she didn’t think her husband was the type to stash money secretly.

Really curious.

Taoming Ye didn’t hide it from her, ”I have ways of making money, but it’s not convenient to say now. I’ll explain everything once we get back to the mansion.”

Su Xing was a bit surprised that her ailing husband was actually making money on his own, but she obediently nodded, ”Okay, let’s talk when we get back.”

When they returned to the Huo Mansion, it was almost lunchtime. They invited Madam Huo to join them and eat the pig head meat.

Taoming Ye only ate two pieces. Su Xing and Madam Huo worried that his body couldn’t take it, seeing he ate only two pieces, they didn’t say anything, but Su Xing and Madam Huo found it very tasty and ate a lot.

After lunch, when Su Xing and Taoming Ye returned to their room in the Huo Mansion, they let the maidservants and young servants leave and closed the door. Only then did Su Xing pounce on Taoming Ye, who was sitting on the edge of the bed.

She kissed him first, then smiled with squinted eyes, ”Well, daring to hide and secretly earn money from me!”

Taoming Ye returned the kiss, then held her as they lay on the bed.

”I started earning before you married me. I just never knew how to tell you, and I was waiting for you to notice and ask me. Now that you asked today, naturally, I will tell you everything.” No one had been better to him than she had, and he sincerely didn’t want to hide anything from her.

Su Xing lightly poked his chest with her finger, full of smiles, ”So, it’s dark in here, huh.”

Seeing that she wasn’t angry at all, Taoming Ye felt even more at ease and tender, chuckling softly, ”Whether it’s dark or light, I don’t know; I only know that in here, it’s filled with you.”

Su Xing quickly lifted her head and kissed him again, eyes smiling, ”Since your words are so sweet, I won’t mind you keeping things from me. But you must not hide things in the future. Your health isn’t great, and you shouldn’t wear yourself out making money. As long as we’re not extravagant, with your few shops and my dowry, it’s enough for us to live on for this lifetime.”
