Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 590: Chapter 388: The Outmaneuvered New World Journey

Hill actually understood that in Gerns, the only thing that could pique Agleya’s interest was the Green Leaf Elves, who didn’t mind defrauding their own big boss.

Although the story of the Radiant Knights Order was tragic, Agleya didn’t care about these insignificant people.

The divinities of Teraxil, originally from there, always had a bit of resentment towards Coron.

Elf God Kings, even though they are from the Chaotic Faction, are difficult to get along with.

The damage he had caused to Teraxil wasn’t as severe as that of the dwarves, but many things had been stirred up by him. As an elf, he had even collaborated with the dwarves of the Evil Faction to harm the world.

Although he wanted to be the ultimate savior, he wouldn’t just watch Teraxil be completely destroyed.

But with his intelligence, anyone could tell that running away with the Elf Forest was the only thing he could do when the time came.

Victor or vanquished, he was always the vanquished.

However, as a father and the protector of the Elf God King, Coron’s compensation was sincere, and the greatest disaster in Teraxil wasn’t related to the Elf God King.

Actually, they couldn’t afford to provoke him; ignoring him was the only thing the divinities of Teraxil could manage.

So, even though he knew what the Green Leaf Elves were doing, Coron might not care, and Agleya also wanted to have some fun.

Hill enjoyed this pleasant family life, so even if he had to guard the seaside every day, opening the rift to the Sea of Elements, he was very willing.

However, on the seventh day, Agleya asked Hill to stop.

The ocean of the Elemental Realm, although infinite, should not be exploited too aggressively.

If it weren’t for the part of the Elemental Realm located near the Gerns which barely birthed any elements, other Element Lords would have come knocking at Hill’s door long ago.

Of course, in Teraxil, Hill could freely release water, and the Water Elemental Lord there would definitely not mind him releasing a bit of water.

Hill straightforwardly ended his task.

He had actually already met Gerns’ expectations, and what he was doing now was just a bonus for generous compensation.

As for Agleya, there would definitely be no reward for her.

She was already recognized by Gerns as the Sea God.

To work for her own ocean, how could there still be any reward?

When Hill stopped, Agleya couldn’t help but show a face of reluctance.

She actually knew that the second Star Gate was almost finished.

But in the next world, it was very likely that the divinities of Teraxil wouldn’t be able to follow.

Gently, Agleya told Hill, ”The Star Gate is almost ready.

But I don’t really want Dad to go to that world.

The next world, as told by the God of Time and Space, is complex. Various factions are intertwined, and the whole world is in chaos.

Moreover, there are many deities of the Kind Alignment, yet inexplicably, they cannot prevent the world from sliding into the Abyss.

The God of Time and Space advised us it’s best not to get involved, William probably won’t go there until the Undead Tribe is fully established.

The Undead, after all, no longer need the protection of William.

There are so many legends!

So, Hill’s Dad! Maybe you shouldn’t go to the next world either? Or just follow William when he goes.”

Hill said with a laugh, ”With the Undead attracting attention, I can sneak in stealthily.

Don’t worry about that, I’m quite familiar with them now, and I can almost perfectly imitate their aura.

Following William, though safe, the trials of a mage need something other than safety.

In Gerns, without even the opportunity to disguise, I would follow him to see what the situation was like.

If I hadn’t found out that the mage in this world has to cast spells through that fake Weave, I would have gone out on my own long ago.

Don’t worry about me, Agleya, although it might sound bad, but if I want to run, no one can catch me.”

Agleya blinked, ”The Elf God King’s apologies?”

Hill nodded with a smile, ”He really bled a lot! But that’s also because I’m a descendant of the World Tree. If it were someone else, he wouldn’t necessarily be so generous.”

Agleya acknowledged, ”Just after the Goddess of the Earth awoke, that guy had his subordinates send a lot of nice things as an apology. It seems like he let the Goddess of Silvermoon get bit by a dog, and thought it evened out just like that.

Teraxil, if we ever really have to fight, I guess the Silvermoon Sorcerer will come looking for the elves.”

Hill shook his head helplessly, ”That guy, still underestimates the deities of the small worlds.

He must have grown up in the Elven Divine Realm, used to powerful deities.

But he has no real sense of his own level.

In Teraxil, even the Goddess of Silvermoon could easily take him down without any external help!”

But, Agleya, he will always have that external force, Coron has given him a carefree assurance.

Even if he realizes it too late, as long as he wakes up one day, he’ll have enough confidence to grow rapidly.

And we, we can only strive on our own.

But as long as we are always stronger than him, he will continue to stay honest.

Agleya, aren’t we already ahead of him now? The Elf God King still possesses only Faint Divine Power, doesn’t he?

This world’s ascension hasn’t brought him any benefits.”

Agleya leaned gently against Hill’s shoulder, ”Yes, he is still so worthless.

That’s why it’s even more annoying! So weak, yet there’s nothing we can do.”

”Don’t worry, Hill’s Dad! I just feel unwell occasionally.”

”I can’t be angry because that guy is protected by his own dad, I was raised under my dad’s protection too!”

”But I will always be stronger than him!”

”Right now, I only have faint divine power, just like the Sun and Silvermoon.”

”Teraxil only had the Time and Space and Earth advance with the world to become intermediate divine power.”

”However, once I purify this ocean, I might have a chance to advance.”

”The Sun God actually has a chance too, but Gerns’ Sun is severely wounded, and he needs time as well.”

”Silvermoon, on the other hand, doesn’t care about these things, she just plans to ascend with the world.”

”In fact, she is the most home-loving of them all.”

Hill nodded and raised his hand to touch the top of her head.

Agleya closed her eyes contentedly, her long hair falling over Hill.

Alice tapped her paw beside them and eventually lay down.

She could follow Hill, hug him when she wanted, and stick to him when she felt like it, now wasn’t the time to disturb Agleya’s last moments of bliss.

When the second Star Gate opened, Agleya didn’t hesitate to tell Hill.

Although Agleya hoped that Hill would always be with her, she, who was also seeking greater power, understood that her Hill’s Dad needed this trial.

Hill bid farewell to Agleya, who would stay here indefinitely, watched her step back toward the statue, and then he turned and flew to the teleportation array in front of William’s Royal Palace.

The motionless Royal Palace also suggested that William would not be departing with the Undead Tribe this time.

Hill glanced once and teleported directly to the Star Gate.

The Undead Tribe was already lined up to depart.

They were extremely excited, seemingly because in the next world, they would be completely in charge.

Only when they discovered the reason for the world’s descent into the Abyss would William appear again.

In the meantime, William would stay in Gerns handling government affairs.

Hearing from the Undead Tribe, William had no plans to relocate people from Teraxil here, which also meant that in the future, the national affairs of this world would still be managed by Gerns People.

Hill was somewhat surprised, so he listened a bit longer.

After all, Gerns People might not always obey the commands of a king from another world.

But it didn’t take long for Hill to understand William’s thinking.

He planned to only be a nominal king, while allowing Gerns to adopt a city state form of governance.

It was somewhat reminiscent of the original Roman city states.

Voting for the city lord and a hundred parliament members for each city.

Was William trying to experiment to see what parliamentary election system would become in a world with deities and legends, under the oversight of gods of justice and fairness?

Hill instructed List to take note of this, promising to return to this world for a look in the future.

He donned his hood, the disguise hairpin also activated, and he silently blended into a group of Undead heading towards the Star Gate.

Hill had become adept at infiltrating groups of vaguely familiar Undead.

However, before stepping into the Star Gate, Hill suddenly felt nervous.

He frowned and nonchalantly cast a magic shield on himself.

He did not proceed until he had activated both the Demi-god Robe and the cloak of the Ring of Winter.

Hill could distinctly feel the traversal through time and space, and this time it seemed a longer distance than the first.

But that was not right!

Hill frowned, he remembered Coron saying it was a nearby world!

If he didn’t have a little knowledge of Space Law, he might not have had this seemingly quick yet prolonged perception that the accompanying Undead were completely unaware of.

Hill gently raised his left hand, pinching the rustic wooden bracelet on his right wrist as the exit approached.

The channel shook violently and amidst the screams of the Undead, Hill was abruptly spit out by the exit.

In rapid descent, Hill looked back.

The Undead, like popcorn, were exploding in all directions.

Hill looked down, more cautious about his own position than the Undead.

Although unsure of what had happened, it would be best to find a secluded corner to settle in.

Even if there were any deities intending to record where all these Undead ended up, Hill doubted they had the ability to locate everyone.

It would just be a matter of who was luckier.

Hill didn’t mention anything else, but when it came to matters of luck, he was absolutely confident.

He soon spotted a somewhat dilapidated spire in a distant forest.

Although the tower was surrounded by illusion arrays, Hill’s vision was unaffected.

The tower had likely been abandoned for over a hundred years.

Hill sensed the laws of this world, flapped his thunder and lightning wings a few times, and plunged into the forest.

His calculations were impeccable, and his landing point was exact; he directly fell into the illusion array.
