Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 588: Chapter 386: Agleya’s Arrival!

The enormous warehouse of crystal balls all neatly contained various materials and seeds.

Low-rank materials were abundant, high-level materials were also plentiful, and top-tier materials were particularly well-stocked.

Some items were rare in Hill’s possession, the kind that would be gone once used.

Other materials were special products of Gerns, born from the evil breath of hell, the purest flowers that bloomed.

Hill had always hoped to find such things in Gerns.

Unlike sunflowers, which were completely different, even if Hellflowers were pure, they would not affect their surroundings in any way, concentrating all their power within themselves.

Although both bloomed from corruption, sunflowers could bloom far and wide, while Hellflowers could only hide in the darkest corners.

Because, once discovered, even devils would risk severe burns to pluck them.

Such were Hell’s most unique products and the flowers with the most vigorous life force.

Many an aging legend would even trade their soul to a devil for just one Hellflower.

Even for legendary mages whose lives were nearing their ends, and for whom laws could not prolong life, a single Hellflower could extend their lives by 500 years.

To these legends, their post-mortem world mattered less in comparison to ordinary humans.

While they better understood what it meant to trade souls with the devil.

Perhaps they believed that with their abilities, even if their souls went to hell, they could become powerful devils?

Hill quietly passed by those few Hellflowers, merely lamenting over the selfish nature of the Gerns World Will.

No wonder the devils had turned Gerns into half a hell, yet not a single Hellflower had appeared.

However, the flower’s life-extending properties were useless to him.

Apart from leaving one Hellflower as a backup for Adrian, there was no one else around him who needed their lifespan extended.

Hill decided to let List remind him every thousand years to visit Adrian in Teraxil.

As for Boen, he didn’t have the ability to consume such a flower.

Without sufficient power, one could only become nourishment for the flower.

The flowers nurtured by hell, despite emanating the light of life, were man-eating after all.

To Hill, the best use of a Hellflower was to consume it while severely injured to heal instantly.

Unlike healing spells, which could only restore slowly, this could be crucial against enemies capable of harming him.

He wasn’t of the Undead Tribe, who could instantly recover to full health with just a boost.

Nevertheless, Hill believed no matter the danger, he would still have time to consume a flower.

He looked towards the most special shelf in the crystal ball, where the top-tier materials produced by Gerns were kept, each only a tiny piece placed there.

Apart from the unique Hellflowers, the combined value of the other items could not match these few small materials.

Even among them were several naturally occurring divine artifacts.

Hill’s envisioned Demi-God Artifact could perhaps be completed sooner than expected!

Hill looked up and swiftly agreed, ”Of course, there’s no problem. If a temple for Agleya is established by the seaside, I’ll stay there for a longer period until the need to depart arises.

Your Majesty the King, there will be a Teleportation Array built here, right?”

”Of course, as a friend, I am quite willing to assist.” William communicated a few words with the World Will of Gerns and smilingly added, ”The construction, let the Undead Tribe handle it!”

Given Gerns’s financial prowess, William was naturally willing to take on the task.

This construction work had become customary for the Undead Tribe, capable of building it in just a day.

After consulting Hill’s opinion, William let the Undead Tribe proceed with constructing the building in the style of the Sea God Temple from outside Hill Valley.

He still had many issues to resolve, with post-war settlements being the most troublesome for William.

The first matter was dealing with the personnel of the Radiant Knights Order, which required discussions between Soliris and William.

Though most knights were still bedridden, even Commander Mason had not awakened, with two Demigod Level Radiant Knights present, most decisions could still be made by simply nodding or shaking heads.

Mainly, it was the Sun God Soliris fighting for benefits for the Knights Order.

He wanted to select a permanent station for the Radiant Knights Order and leave future affairs to be managed by themselves.

But William did not wish for the Knights Order to eventually evolve into an independent nation, unless they decided not to select future knights from the general populace.

Moreover, as the only present king of Gerns, William was not keen on having such a powerful knightly order completely independent of his control within his domain.

Of course, it all depended on Soliris’s decision.

If they intended to establish an independent nation, William would not obstruct them.

The Sun God thought for a moment before shaking his head to refuse the proposal to found a nation, but he also demanded a promise from William, ensuring that the Radiant Knights Order would never become a victim of power struggles.

William sighed helplessly and said, ”Soliris, as long as your Divine Kingdom hangs in the skies of Gerns, there won’t be any problems with the Radiant Knights Order.

But if something happens to you, then the Radiant Knights Order will definitely face all sorts of conspiracies and schemes, which, no matter how powerful a deity, are uncontrollable.

Similarly, you can’t even prevent your own knights from one day choosing power for themselves.

I can only guarantee that within my lands, I will always treat everyone fairly and justly.

But deities also have their days of downfall.

I dare not say that I will exist forever.

I cannot make such an eternal promise; if one day I can only sleep in the sea of stars, then let it be a deep sleep.

I certainly don’t want to be dragged out by the laws even after death to fight for justice for them.”

”That’s enough,” Soliris said with a smile, ”I just don’t want the Radiant Knights to be treated differently. As long as it’s fair and just. I absolutely trust the integrity of the Radiant Knights.

By the way, that small booklet of yours for the knights, could you give them a copy too? It’s not like you were planning to keep it secret, right?”

”They chose the path of light, didn’t they?” William was somewhat surprised, but still gestured to Spencer, who was sitting on the side, to hand each of the demigods a copy of the ’Guardian Knight’s Book’.

”There’s much encompassed within the light!” Soliris said lightly, ”This method of cultivation is very suitable for the Radiant Knights Order. I don’t need them to do anything for me, and as for faith, I don’t need it either.

But I also would not want to one day see them stray from their path, and if the Radiant Knights could always uphold these virtues, even if I fall, they can still live like human beings.”

Hill quietly watched these two who kept talking about death and felt deeply happy for them, grateful that the Goddess of the Silvermoon from Teraxil was not present, otherwise she would certainly let the two gentlemen know the consequences of speaking without restraint.

Her Silvermoon scimitar would definitely make them profoundly understand what troubles can arise from careless talk, thinking of death is too easy.

Hill looked outside the window at the serene seaside that had now witnessed the erection of a white structure.

The Undead Tribe had built a magnified version of the Sea God Temple in less than an hour.

They thought the one outside Hill Valley was too small and had magnified it to three times its original size.

Hill smiled helplessly, bid farewell to everyone in the Royal Palace, and went straight to see the Temple.

The Green Leaf Elves also needed to discuss whether their Dense Green Forest should contact the current humans or, for the time being, only do business with visitors from Teraxil and the Undead Tribe.

Even though many humans had passed the trial of the paintings, they had only suppressed their inner evil thoughts with reason.

William hoped that several more Sun God Temples could be built, specifically for the Light of Purification of the Sun God.

If people often prayed under the statues of the Sun God, it would be a good thing for purifying the body and mind for ordinary people.

But the Sun God hesitated, and when Hill was leaving, he still heard Soliris asking William if those paintings could replace his statue?

If there were any damages, he was willing to repair them.

The deities of Teraxil were truly afraid of the power of faith! Especially since these devotees were somewhat problematic themselves.

William and the God of Time and Space, however, were unconcerned and built churches in every city; it seemed that both had blocked all the power of faith through Divine Artifacts.

But such artifacts were unique to their Gods of Time and Space System, and it was impossible for them to share the methods of creating their Core Artifacts with other deities.

Hill didn’t hear the rest, but William would likely agree.

After all, Soliris accepting the Radiant Knights Order of this world was quite a risk.

The Undead Tribe even built a small plaza in front of the Sea God Temple, and Hill smiled as he walked through the Shallow Water Plaza, which lacked a flowing stream, and entered the Sea God Temple.

Compared to the troublesome matter of accepting faith, suppressing and purifying a sea was more suitable for Agleya.

Hill took out a large Deep Sea Crystal from his pendant, took out an engraving tool, and began to sculpt the statue of Agleya.

When he stopped his hands, Agleya lifelike appeared before Hill.

She wore a beautiful blue gradient long dress, the long hem dragging behind her, holding her Divine Artifact in hand, majestically looking ahead.

Hill smiled contentedly, lifted his left hand, and the weather outside the Temple rapidly changed, transforming from clear skies to a fierce storm.

Then, a long passage tore across the sky above the sea, and endless Elemental Water crashed down.

The Undead Tribe, which had been watching by the sea, probably remembered Hill mentioning that this was a blessing from Agleya to Hill, representing the Sea God’s sincerest love for her father.

They suddenly shouted, ”Thanks to Agleya for the great flood!”

Their voices carried far and wide, even the Undead planting flowers on the battlefield joined in the shouting, but they yelled, ”Agleya, bring some water here too, it’s a bit hot!”

Hill was surprised to look outside the Temple; he had originally thought that he would have to wait until the sea was completely purified before Agleya’s statue could be fully illuminated.

But such a summons from the Undead...

The Sea God Temple suddenly emitted a faint blue light; the entire building came to life as if awakened.

”Dad Hill! It’s great to see you again!” the beautiful Sea Goddess stepped down from the statue, ”I really love this new dress, thank you, Dad!”
