Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 583: Chapter 381: The Blood Moon Kingdom with No Need for Battle

Hill glanced at the enthusiastic William, probably the most encountered Abyssal Goddess by the King of Saral.

However, in the past, they were hostile to the Elven God King, but this goddess was very friendly towards them.

But this time, entering the Gerns World, the visitors from Teraxil had accepted Coron’s invitation, and it was uncertain whether Rose would treat them as enemies.

Yet, along the way, there were hardly any traces of the Spider Queen.

The devils from The Blood Moon Kingdom must have retreated quite leisurely, so before leaving, they annihilated all humans lured into Lawful Evil.

The news of what the Undead Tribe did in the Kingdom of the Black Moon and the Magic Kingdom had already spread, so those who stayed in The Blood Moon Kingdom were confident in their faction and believed they wouldn’t be killed by the Undead.

The Undead Tribe encountered almost no resistance; even if some devils’ underlings slipped through the net, they preferred to flee to the War God Kingdom.

In The Blood Moon Kingdom, the only strange structures the Undead discovered were in some cities – networks of peculiar stone slabs with a huge stone gate in the center.

Although they were found only around a few cities near the capital, the Undead found them very bizarre and reported them to William.

”This world is really quite appealing!” William exclaimed while holding a tablet, ”It looks like Rose intends to pull this world into her web!

Indeed, if she could truly become the Goddess of the Blood Moon in Gerns and rule the entire world, it would indeed have some influence on the Abyssal Blood Moon.”

However, it seemed that Rose did hold some apprehension towards Shaer – her designs in The Blood Moon Kingdom practically ended as soon as they began.

Hill suspected that Rose might have arrived in this world before Shaer, which is why she made her move on the Blood Moon.

The Spider Queen, who had long coveted the Abyssal Blood Moon, probably didn’t expect to switch neighbors as soon as she arrived.

Otherwise, given her usual preference for well-prepared battles, she wouldn’t even glance at this moon.

She might secretly spy on that devil’s Evil System Weave, but she certainly wouldn’t brazenly appear on the Moon Halo.

”That Spider Queen’s maid seems to have disappeared as well,” Spencer said indifferently, ”I’ve issued a very generous bounty. Anyone who spots her can claim it.

But so far, there has been no news.

The Undead are sometimes careless, but when it comes to rewards, they can be meticulous about every single clue.”

”She has probably gone to the War God Kingdom then,” William said nonchalantly, ”The Spider Queen must have left a while ago, only leaving a maid behind to see if she could scrape up any benefits.

Even if the lady wants to come back after leaving, she no longer has the ability to do so.

Coron, even if he lets a Demon Lord in, won’t allow Rose to exploit any loopholes.”

Hill almost laughed out loud.

The reason Coron wouldn’t let Rose in was his concern for his Green Leaf Elves; Rose hadn’t made a move on them before because she feared startling the prey. But if she were to come back now, she definitely wouldn’t spare these loyal followers of Coron.

The hatred between Rose and Coron, attributable mostly to Coron’s infidelity by a mere one-thousandth, was not because she lacked her own lovers.

Her fall was more due to her own lust for power. It wasn’t until she was satisfied with being the Queen of the Elves, which led her to be tempted by the Demon Lords, that she fell.

Rose, who had indeed tried to assassinate Coron and was driven into the Abyss, would have remained an Intermediate Divine Power deity if she hadn’t later schemed her way to greater heights in the Abyss.

The relationships among Elves, no matter how chaotic, are never about love; although they easily revel in emotions, they would never sacrifice for the so-called love.

Yet William spoke as though they were ex-husband and ex-wife with deep-seated grudges, hence adversaries.

It was only because he was in this palace, out of sight of all the deities outside the Gerns World, that William dared to speak so freely.

After seeing the situation in The Blood Moon Kingdom, William finally calmed his emotions.

From the Magic Kingdom to the Kingdom of the Black Moon, and then to The Blood Moon Kingdom.

In the relentless span of five months, William had cleansed all three nations.

At this time, apart from the chunk belonging to the War God Kingdom, the Gerns World was already filled with Sunflowers.

And the Undead of Legendary Rank had probably reached the hundreds of thousands.

While the Undead constantly wailed for William to lower the difficulty of the Legendary trials, they still came up with plenty of their own solutions in his complete indifference.

The first few batches of maxed-out individuals, after several months of near-death experiences, found the method and ascended to Legendary.

The later ones who reached max level, despite much preparation, still ended up intimately acquainted with the Resurrection Array due to lack of practice.

Hill always felt that this artifact controlling the Undead would one day become one of the strongest among High-level Artifacts, as it now enables tens of thousands of Undead to ascend to Legendary at the same time.

Hill was genuinely curious about what this intelligent brain created by the artifact would become.

Would it form a universe with just a thought? After all, it possesses the power of both time and space along with William’s Law of fairness and justice.

While Hill was lost in his chaotic thoughts, the grand army of the Undead Tribe had already reached the outskirts of the War God Kingdom.

The phrase ”in ruins” was insufficient to describe the current state of the nation.

It was normal for the Abyss and Hell to be at war, even if the War God Kingdom was scorched by fire, flooded with water, or sank three feet into the ground.

But what was most terrifying was the intertwining of the demons’ sulfurous stench and the devils’ foul odors, which caused the Undead Tribe, despite their dulled senses, to suffer nausea.

To put it in the Undead Tribe’s terms, it was as if the ’Old Age Striking King,’ ’Cunlü,’ and ’Hard Wind’ had led a surge of the Flat-headed Brother and the Wild Boar Legion that could only inflict half the torment.

Hill knew too well what the outside would smell like just by thinking about it.

He stared intently at William, for fear that he might let in even a bit of air.

William couldn’t help but laugh, ”I don’t want to smell that either! Even if I could hold my breath, the air is just too filthy.”

”When the Undead Tribe reaches the Legendary Rank, they can stop breathing the outside air, right?” Spencer asked curiously, ”Why did they only lower the elemental body’s perception?”

”Because the Undead Tribe never reads the second page of the introduction,” William suddenly laughed, ”and even if a few of the wise ones did see it, they’d joyfully watch others play the fool rather than remind them.”

Hill glanced at the King of Saral, who wore a slight smile: He must have deliberately put those seemingly unimportant yet actually very useful details for the Undead Tribe on the second page.

Spencer also raised his eyebrows in surprise and asked, ”Is that the reason you hastily changed the notice overnight? Just to get back at them for saying...”

”Shh~” William softly blew on his index finger placed before his lips, ”That thing gets everywhere, better to speak of it less.”

William seemed to fear the devils even more!

And with good reason, the demons’ scheming was plentiful, but they lacked patience and preferred to engage in direct combat.

The endless number of demons from the Abyss had conditioned them to use brute force to overcome all opposition.

But devils were different, they could masquerade for thousands of years if that’s what it took to achieve their goals.

And now, their carriage was traveling on the only territory held by a devil with a Divine Position in this world, indeed they needed to be careful.

Although the Undead Tribe was heavily afflicted by the stench, compared to the previous two nations, they finally had Experience Packs to fight for.

Whether demons or devils, there were stray monsters in no small number, and the Undead Tribe didn’t even wait for William’s order to quickly sweep through the War God Kingdom.

William’s carriage moved slowly in the middle while the Undead Tribe spread out to both sides, slaying the smaller creatures and planting sunflowers.

However, unlike demons who knew to set fire upon seeing plants, devils, after realizing fire was ineffective, began attempting to use ice, snow, or metal to eradicate the clusters of sunflowers.

Even if they were found by the Undead Tribe and eliminated, they still relentlessly surged toward these blossoms.

”They’re not concerned about the affairs of this world,” William mused upon receiving the report from the Undead Tribe, ”If sunflowers also have a purifying effect on the aura of Hell, the deities outside wouldn’t take it lightly.

Especially Coron, He must have already figured out how to cultivate these sunflowers.

Hill, aside from fire sunflowers, what else have you created?”

”Fire sunflowers are not my doing,” Hill said, looking up, ”That’s the Sun God’s work, don’t forget that. I’ve only made frost sunflowers, which can bloom even in the coldest weather.

And most metals can’t cut through the roots of sunflowers either.

But sunflowers are still easily dealt with. If we didn’t have the upper hand, whether it’s devils or demons, couldn’t they all just dig up the earth and move them elsewhere?

Even though sunflowers thrive on evil energy, they don’t have the ability to help in battle.

In places where evil forces are stronger, there’s no space for sunflowers to exist.”

William shook his head, ”It’s not like that, Hill. You still don’t understand what a deity like Coron can do.

He hasn’t made a move because neither the devils nor the demons have truly enraged him.

The Abyss and Hell will never disappear, so the All Gods just oppose them and haven’t thought about eradicating them one day.

If those two places were to vanish, it would probably be the day when both gods and demons are extinct.

But if He just wanted to teach a lesson to a devil or demon that angered Him, Coron could make every corner of an evil world bloom with sunflowers.”

Hill couldn’t help but chuckle, ”Then let them try more. I should think of how to make sunflowers evolve to be even stronger.”

But in his heart, he sighed deeply: Like the world of the Undead, whether it’s deities or devils, they’re all just a story.

Yet, there is no eternal life there either.

”We’re almost at the real battlefield!” Spencer informed the two who were idling, ”They’re fighting at the Dead Sea! It’s been over half a year, and who knows what they’re fighting for. The Undead Tribe at the forefront says that not even the Demon Lords have died, and they’ve already seen that Succubus.”
