Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 699: Chapter 493: Clamor of Right and Wrong (Part 3)

”I’m not sure, but I know one thing, there’s no such thing as a reasonless declaration of war against you, Sister Luo. Maybe you should consider why someone would do such a thing?” Zhou Yun said, ”Did you perhaps do something wrong first and offend someone?”

Luo Zhiqiu didn’t speak anymore.

Zhou Yun could still hear some heavy breathing on the phone due to anger.

After two seconds, the call was hung up.

Zhou Yun scoffed and put the phone aside.

It seems that Luo Zhiqiu knew what she had done, not in the sense that she did something and felt she did nothing wrong.

Song Chi also knew about this.

The first thing he did after learning about this was to call Luo Zhiqiu.

”If I ever hear another rumor you concocted about Zhou Yun, just wait, don’t forget, I also spent many years at your company. I know all the insidious things you’ve done,” Song Chi’s voice had never been so stern, as if it could devour a person, ”You better think carefully.”

After Song Chi finished speaking, he hung up the phone without giving Luo Zhiqiu any chance to talk.

In fact, even if he had given her a chance, she could not have said a word.

The recent activities of Zhou Yun naturally couldn’t be concealed from the people in the ”Four Killers” crew.

Everyone in this industry has their own sources of information.

After witnessing the decisive actions and prowess of Zhou Yun, they suddenly realized that although they already treated Zhou Yun like a big Celebrity, recognizing her importance, they still underestimated Zhou Yun’s power.

Even a film agency boss was utterly powerless under her thunderous wrath.

Yin Linglin was the first to be shocked.

Yin Linglin always felt that the only difference between her and Zhou Yun was two Movie Queen trophies, thinking that with a bit more effort and some luck, surpassing Zhou Yun was within reach. With this thought, she even felt she could compete with Zhou Yun in other aspects.

But the incident with Luo Zhiqiu made Yin Linglin realize one thing: her influence was nowhere near Zhou Yun’s.

Zhou Yun was able to spread the news about Luo Zhiqiu across the entire entertainment industry in just a few days, signifying ”influential connections”.

The entertainment industry isn’t just composed of celebrities in front of the camera.

These days, seeing Zhou Yun, Yin Linglin felt somewhat guilty—she hadn’t done anything wrong to Zhou Yun. Then she suddenly remembered something. No, she had once conspired with He Xuran and a few others behind Zhou Yun’s back fabricating stories about her and Yao Yuanfeng. Similar to what Luo Zhiqiu had done. After realizing this, Yin Linglin suddenly became afraid. Would Zhou Yun retaliate against them in the future?

After witnessing Zhou Yun’s handling of Luo Zhiqiu, Yin Linglin really became frightened.

She even went to find He Xuran.

He Xuran said casually, ”Don’t worry, since she didn’t say or do anything at that time, it’s probably fine.”

”Moreover, why are you so afraid of her? Do you think she has the capability to retaliate against both of us at the same time? You think our teams behind us are weak?”

Yin Linglin didn’t expose He Xuran’s seemingly fearless facade.

She said, ”Either way, I think we should still apologize to her and settle this matter.”

”We didn’t say anything publicly, just joked about it privately. If you apologize for that, it’ll seem like you’re taking it too seriously.”

Yin Linglin said, ”Are you sure? If you’re not going to apologize, then I will.”

How could He Xuran accept not apologizing while Yin Linglin did? That would make him seem very petty.

In the end, both of them went to apologize together.

Zhou Yun thought to herself, this was indeed an unexpected pleasure.

She merely disliked Yin Linglin and He Xuran, but it wasn’t to the extent of her feelings towards Luo Zhiqiu. Yin Linglin and He Xuran were just talking among a few people, but Luo Zhiqiu was continuously spreading rumors to others.

There was a clear difference in nature.

Zhou Yun accepted their apology.

With the conclusion of this matter, April also came to an end.

Zhou Yun had completed a large portion of her filming.

Fortunately, she hadn’t suffered any serious injuries again.

Now, Song Chi faced a problem: with this situation, could he still go to Cannes as a judge?

On the last day of April, Cannes officially announced, ”The last judge for the ’A Certain Regard’ section, Song Chi from China.”

The news went back to China, stirring up a whole online world of noise.
