Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 695: Chapter 492: Intimate Moments (Part 6)

Should I tell Liu Zhikun about this?

Zhou Yun was convinced that this matter was definitely tied to He Xuran. Thinking pessimistically, He Xuran might have already been targeting Liu Zhikun. If He Xuran got his hands on the photos from that day, what would he do? Keep them and blackmail Liu Zhikun? Or release them at a critical moment, striking a deadly blow to Liu Zhikun’s reputation?

Zhou Yun hesitated for a long time, undecided. So, he called Song Chi for advice.

After listening to Zhou Yun’s account, Song Chi pondered for a moment and said, ”About this, whether you tell or not, either works. This matter doesn’t concern you. Warning Liu Zhikun might earn you another favor from him. Of course, you’ve already helped him by stopping those photos from going public, he’s already in your debt. Not alerting Liu Zhikun, staying completely neutral, affects neither you nor him. After all, he’s already become more cautious now. He and Meng Ran aren’t likely to be easily caught on camera like before.”

”Do you think He Xuran is specifically targeting Liu Zhikun?” Zhou Yun speculated, ”I don’t mean to malign He Xuran with malice, but think about it. The matter between Liu Zhikun and Meng Ran is quite secretive, and Zheng Xiaojue only found out by chance. If He Xuran hadn’t been watching Liu Zhikun closely, his assistant wouldn’t have taken a camera along to secretly take pictures, right? It was five o’clock in the morning, hardly anyone is awake. His assistant had no business being there unless he was monitoring Liu Zhikun. Only then could he have captured that moment.”

Song Chi replied, ”You make a good point. Now I’m curious, is He Xuran only after Liu Zhikun, or has he also set his sights on you and Yin Linglin?”

”Ah? Us?”

Song Chi said, ”It’s only after you brought this up that I remembered something. Look up the dramas that He Xuran has acted in before. There has always been a rumor in the circle that whoever acts alongside him tends to have scandals exposed.”

”What?” Zhou Yun was shocked, ”Really?”

”Search it up and you’ll know. They say it’s all online. Not every drama, but indeed there are some in which scandals of his co-actors were exposed right when the show was a hit and nearing its end. Actually, this phenomenon is not uncommon; all popular actors will face such situations, as their rivals don’t want to see them succeed and use these leaks as deterrents. However, the timing of these leaks for He Xuran’s co-actors is too coincidental. Of course, this is just speculation by a minority, there’s no evidence.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Are you suggesting that He Xuran often does this? Deliberately digs up dirt on his co-actors and releases it when the drama is at its peak so he can enjoy the benefits solo?”

”That’s the rough idea. Anyway, I’ve heard that none of the actors who have acted with him have worked with him a second time. No one wants to collaborate with him again.”

Zhou Yun: ”That’s...”

Song Chi: ”I had forgotten about this. I should’ve warned you earlier.”

”It’s okay, I haven’t done anything shameful. What dirt could he possibly dig up on me?”

”Still, you should be safe. He knows full well that he’s not on your level right now. Trying to drag you down won’t help him. I think his main target is still Liu Zhikun, the only real competitor he has in this film.”

”Liu Zhikun’s fans are much crazier than his,” Zhou Yun said. ”No wonder, He Xuran probably wants to disappoint and sadden Liu Zhikun’s fans by exposing the relationship, thus causing Liu Zhikun to face the awkward situation of losing fans. That way, He Xuran could reap the benefits from ’Four Killers.’ Brands looking to collaborate with the two of them might lean towards him due to Liu Zhikun’s drop in popularity.”

”Uh-huh.”

”His heart is truly dark,” Zhou Yun said.

Song Chi: ”There are quite a few who would stoop to any means. You have to be careful. Think about Xu Siyao.”

Zhou Yun’s face darkened: ”Don’t bring her up, I’m so tired of her.”

Song Chi started to laugh, ”You know, she really has some nerve. She even took the initiative to contact my company, wanting to collaborate with us.”
