Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 694: Chapter 492: Intimate Lovers (Part 5)

”I heard that ’Mother’ is planning to start shooting in the second half of this year?” Zhou Yun asked curiously.

”Yes,” Song Chi said, ”The script isn’t finalized yet. Sister Hongyu has some suggestions for the script, and I think a few of them are very good. I’ve given feedback to the screenwriter and asked him to make revisions.”

Zhou Yun: ”Well, don’t forget you’re injured now, don’t always think about work, you finally get to rest.”

”Ah, not working and just resting can also be boring,” Song Chi said. ”Now, I’m basically reading scripts, meeting people, and preparing some projects. The intensity isn’t too high.”

Zhou Yun rested her cheek in one hand and said, ”I’m feeling quite uncomfortable shooting this film, it’s entirely based on the director’s ideas, not satisfying at all.”

”Not every director is willing to take in the actors’ thoughts and opinions.”

”Yeah, well, shooting this film makes me feel like it’s really just a job,” Zhou Yun laughed. ”It just feels like work.”

Of course, it was just a job.

Song Chi: ”Most of the time, acting is just a job.”

After hanging up with Song Chi, Zhou Yun was about to leave when she suddenly heard the voices of two girls nearby.

”Our group’s actors are all kind of tough; doing all the fight scenes themselves without stunt doubles.”

”Yeah, I see that the stunt actors prepared for them hardly have anything to do every day.”

”I heard they’re very competitive among each other, all eager to climb another step higher through this film. I heard that He Xuran’s agent secretly gave red envelopes to many people, asking them to speak well of him in the media.”

”Ah, why didn’t we receive any?”

”We’re low in position.”

”Zhou Yun knows how to handle things better; treating everyone to coffee or desserts, everyone gets a share, even the extras.”

”Sister Xiao Yun is really nice, even though she doesn’t interact much with everyone and seems a bit cold, I’ve heard from many that she treats the staff really well and never acts haughty.”

”I have a friend who was with the ’Heart Inquiry’ crew; he said Zhou Yun was very polite to the staff during the filming of ’Heart Inquiry’. Not like Su Yan, who’s very haughty and always causing trouble.”

...

Zhou Yun didn’t listen any further and left.

However, He Xuran actually gave red envelopes secretly to some people in the crew?

Zhou Yun didn’t know about this, but him going to such lengths is quite impressive.

These days, she noticed Liu Zhikun and Yin Linglin often sitting together talking. They seemed somewhat estranged from He Xuran. It’s not that they didn’t hang out with He Xuran, but sometimes when He Xuran came over, they would stop talking.

From the beginning of the shoot, Zhou Yun kept a distance from them, sitting in her own place, mostly staying in her trailer. Sometimes, she could see more from there.

Zhou Yun hadn’t seen Liu Zhikun and Meng Ran sneaking meetings lately, nor had Zheng Xiaojue and the others.

Today, Zhou Yun and He Xuran were filming opposite each other.

As soon as the scene was finished, Zhou Yun turned around and saw Cao Jun arriving.

He usually wouldn’t come to the set.

Zhou Yun walked over with a puzzled look and asked, ”Is something the matter?”

Cao Jun said, ”Xiaoju asked me to bring this over.”

Zhou Yun saw that it was a set of clothes.

Zheng Xiaojue said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, you have an online event tonight that requires you to be on camera. Since you have a scene tonight, you can only connect in the trailer. So I asked him to bring over the clothes.”

Zhou Yun nodded in understanding.

Suddenly, Cao Jun’s gaze flickered.

Zhou Yun noticed and asked, ”What’s wrong?”

Cao Jun lowered his voice and said, ”I saw the person who was taking pictures that day.”

Zhou Yun reacted, surprised, ”You mean, the person who secretly photographed Liu Zhikun and Meng Ran that morning?”

”Yes,” Cao Jun nodded. ”It’s the person who was standing behind He Xuran, the one wearing the duckbill cap.”

Zheng Xiaojue casually glanced in that direction and said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, that person is He Xuran’s assistant.”

Zhou Yun looked surprised.

It was He Xuran’s assistant?

She told Cao Jun, ”Let’s keep this quiet for now.”

”Yes, we understand,” Zheng Xiaojue nodded.

Zhou Yun fell into thought. Initially, when Cao Jun told her that the person looked familiar but wasn’t a paparazzi he knew, Zhou Yun wondered if this person could be part of the crew. But she never imagined that it would be He Xuran’s assistant. This was indeed beyond her expectations.
