Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 697: Chapter 493: Clamor of Right and Wrong

After much hesitation, Zhou Yun decided to do the right thing and tell Liu Zhikun that the paparazzi was He Xuran’s assistant.

With that in mind, Zhou Yun arranged to meet Liu Zhikun for a talk at noon that day.

The crew was noisy and walls have ears, so Zhou Yun had Liu Zhikun come up to her trailer.

Liu Zhikun didn’t know what Zhou Yun wanted to discuss and was filled with suspicion. Once in the car and seated, he asked, ”Do you have something to tell me?”

”Yes,” Zhou Yun nodded. She said, ”A couple of days ago, I discovered something else.”

Liu Zhikun frowned, ”What’s it? Is it related to me?”

”It’s related to you. My people saw the one who was taking pictures of you that day because they didn’t know each other before, so they were unaware until a couple of days ago,” Zhou Yun said. ”I thought it over and decided I should tell you about this. You need to be more vigilant, just in case.”

Liu Zhikun’s expression became serious at once.

”Who?” he asked.

Zhou Yun said, ”The person who took pictures of you and Meng Ran that day was He Xuran’s assistant.”

Liu Zhikun’s face changed instantly.

”Him?” A flame of anger flickered in his eyes.

Zhou Yun nodded, saying, ”I don’t know if He Xuran himself is aware or not. I didn’t investigate this matter. I’m just telling you what I know.”

Liu Zhikun seemed to clench his teeth, looking stern.

He said, ”Of course it’s him. His assistant wouldn’t have done such a thing without his instructions.”

Zhou Yun thought to herself that Liu Zhikun was quite clear-headed.

”Anyway, if you plan to confront him, don’t mention me. I won’t acknowledge it, as I don’t want to get involved in these troubles,” Zhou Yun stated her position first. ”I wouldn’t recommend going to trouble him directly. You didn’t catch him red-handed, and he won’t admit it. Even if he does, you can’t do anything about it because you can’t afford to make a big fuss. If news gets out, then everyone will know about you and Meng Ran.”

Liu Zhikun hummed in response, ”I won’t confront him. I just can’t contain the anger inside me right now.”

Liu Zhikun’s attitude was very genuine.

Zhou Yun said, ”I can understand how you feel right now.”

”Thank you,” Liu Zhikun said. ”Thanks for telling me about this.”

Zhou Yun smiled.

Although she didn’t actually expect Liu Zhikun’s gratitude, she still felt good upon hearing his thanks.

After a moment’s hesitation, Liu Zhikun said, ”There’s something I should tell you too. I wasn’t going to mention it, but since you’ve told me this, it would be wrong to keep it from you.”

”Oh?” Zhou Yun looked at him.

Liu Zhikun seemed to have difficulty bringing up the next topic, pausing for several seconds before saying, ”Here’s the thing. Yin Linglin and I are currently in contact regarding a new movie, and then, we got to know a producer. That producer told us—of course, I know it must be made up—but she not only told us, she also told many others that you slept with He Yong to become famous.”

Zhou Yun was stunned for a long time.

It had been a long time since she last heard rumors like this one. Ever since winning the Movie Queen award, such rumors about her had been slowly decreasing. Zhou Yun didn’t know who would start such a rumor again. She asked, ”Who is it?”

Liu Zhikun hesitated, then said, ”It’s someone you know, someone you’ve worked with before. If it was someone unrelated to you, I wouldn’t have brought it up, because no one would believe it. But this person... she is Luo Zhiqiu.”

”Luo Zhiqiu?” Zhou Yun’s eyes widened in shock.

It had also been a long time since she had heard that name.

She was Zuo Jing’s boss, former boss of Song Chi’s talent agency, and one of the producers of ”Heart Inquiry.”

Zhou Yun never expected to hear her name again.

Ever since Song Chi left Zuo Jing, they had no more notable artists; only some idol celebrities. They shot many TV dramas and movies, but none made much of a splash. Luo Zhiqiu also hadn’t appeared in her sight for a long time.

Why would Luo Zhiqiu spread such rumors about her?

Zhou Yun nodded, ”I understand, thank you.”

Liu Zhikun said, ”I think you might want to take this seriously. I reckon she’s been saying this to a lot of people because after Yin Linglin and I met her that day, another person mentioned they didn’t know what you did to offend her, to the point that she tells everyone about it.”
