Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 683: Chapter 489: Eight Characters Clash_6

”This time’s filming so far, have you experienced anything different compared to your previous filming experiences?”

Zhou Yun lowered her head in thought for a moment and said, ”Speaking of which, this is actually the first time I’ve participated in a movie production with such a large team, a couple hundred people, everyone is very coordinated, no chaos, it gives me a very professional feel. Also, how should I put it, the movies I’ve filmed before, including ’Life’, ’Falling Leaves’ and ’Behind the Scenes’, even the one I did with Big Brother Shen Yao, ’Warm Little Horse’, actually did not have so many people in the production team. We interact more with each other, eat and drink together, film together. But this drama is very professional, yes.”

Zhou Yun finished talking and smiled.

She didn’t want to lie, but she also couldn’t tell the truth, as the truth can be hurtful, so she could only find a middle ground, saying some meaningless nonsense.

The director asked, ”Is this your first time acting in a martial arts film? Previously in ’Two Tigers’, you actually played a killer, that was still a modern action drama, not quite the same as this traditional martial arts film, right?”

”That’s right, not quite the same.” Zhou Yun said, ”The fight scenes I had in ’Two Tigers’, because I could rightfully utilize some high-tech power, during the bone-crunching process, there was a lot of cool and even comedic elements, but ’Four Killers’ is more serious, it’s a genuine traditional martial arts film, I also put much more into it, and my mindset was different.”

”If you could return to the Republic, what would you want to do?” asked the director.

Zhou Yun pondered for a moment and said, ”I would like to meet those famous predecessors in history, if I could personally thank them, I would be very happy. There were so many heroes in history, in that era of war, they unflinchingly upheld the banner of national salvation, unswervingly, whenever I read such stories, I’m deeply moved and then question myself, if placed in the same environment, would I dare to do the same thing unflinchingly? I always feel that one should possess the courage for justice, which is something we need to foster and uphold throughout our lives.”

”Let’s talk about the heroine you’re playing.”

Zhou Yun suddenly smiled.

”Heroine? Actually, I think she might not quite be a heroine in the true sense of the word. You know, sometimes she does something, it’s not necessarily for the purpose of doing heroic deeds. She initially joined the plan because she liked the character played by Xuran, but Xuran was already with someone else, so she could only stay close to him in this way. She was actually a very sincere and earnest girl, and at the end, when she took a knife for someone else, that’s when she truly recognized the righteousness of her actions, and she felt it was the right thing to do.”

...

After finishing the interview, Zhou Yun went back to continue filming only to find everyone looking at her.

For a moment, Zhou Yun didn’t know how to react, stunned, thinking, what’s going on?

At that moment, Zheng Xiaojue suddenly gasped behind her.

Zhou Yun turned to look at Zheng Xiaojue.

Zheng Xiaojue covered her mouth with one hand, looking at her phone in shock, disbelief written all over her face.

Zhou Yun frowned and asked, ”Xiaoju, what’s wrong?”

Zheng Xiaojue cautiously raised her head to look at Zhou Yun, her lips quivered for a while before she could even open her mouth.

Zhou Yun suddenly thought of something and directly took the phone from Zheng Xiaojue’s hands.

The screen displayed a news page, with a large headline: ”Song Chi dies in a car accident during filming!”

It felt as if a bolt of lightning had struck, concentrating the entire power of Thunder Pond on her head.

In that instant, Zhou Yun felt completely numb, her hair standing on end.

An unreal feeling.

Really, fake?

The area was unbelievably quiet; no one spoke.

Zhou Yun felt dazed for a few seconds before returning to reality.

Zheng Xiaojue suddenly came over and held Zhou Yun’s arm.

”Sister Xiao Yun, let’s go back to the RV, okay?” she asked softly.

She also signaled Liu Yun with her eyes.

Liu Yun picked up on the cue and moved aside to contact Zhou Lan and Cao Jun.

Zhou Yun stood still, feeling a vast emptiness around her.

Her palms were cold.

Her body was cold too.

Zhou Yun looked at Zheng Xiaojue absent-mindedly.

Just then, the phone rang.

She came back to her senses with trembling hands, took out the phone, the caller ID showing Song Chi.

It felt like grabbing a lifeline while drowning, she rapidly answered the call, bringing it to her ear, carefully asking, ”Song Chi?”

The familiar voice of Song Chi came through, ”Didn’t get scared by the news, did you?”

Zhou Yun felt her heart drop back into place.

A tear dropped from her eyes, followed by a second, then a third.
